The staff here is caring and loving of all animals. I am a cat person and have found in the past that not all vets are created equal when it comes to caring for cats. I switched to Ross a few years ago when another vet (which was much closer to my house) over-prescribed Xanax for my cat and did not contact me about the mistake until 3 days later and left a message on my voicemail they had accidentally dosed my cat with the dog chart. My cat needed it for a road trip we were going to take to Arizona.  If I would have given him the test dose he may have overdosed, luckily I had not yet. The dose should have been 1/4 mg but they prescribed 1mg. The vet was not apologetic at all and dismissed it and my concern so I immediately switched to Ross. Ross is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone who cares about their animals. Read Less

We have been coming here for years. Today i had to bring in our old guinea pig, Rudolph, for euthanasia. They treated me with great respect and Rudy went to his heaven in very comfortable hands. Full disclosure -- I've known Dr. Ross for 12+ years and is a great guy.  When we first rescued two kittens a few years back, we called him on a Sunday morning as one was very ill -- he came to the house in 10 minutes -- and fixed him right up.  Today, Houston J. I cannot say enough good things about Ross Hospital for Animals.  When my wife and I got married we were using different vets for my dog and her cats.  Poor diagnostic and treatment performance by both offices caused us to seek out an alternative, and Ross was recommended to us by some friends.Dr. Ross correctly diagnosed my dog's condition after another vet missed it, and my dog was on the verge of death.  With Dr. Ross's correct diagnosis and proper RX, my dog went on to live another five years in a much more comfortable state.BTW, this dog had some serious issues with aggression, as well, and the Ross staff not only knew how to work with it, they highly recommended a local behavioral therapist (Bark Busters) who is probably equally to credit for saving our dog's life.Dr. Mazzuchi correctly diagnosed our cat's auto-immune problem and helped us find just the right mix of medication and nutrients to help him live a comfortable happy life without over-medicating him.  She provided us with a thorough understanding of what was going on, and how to adjust meds as necessary to minimize risks.The support staff is just as wonderful. Cindy, the office manager, has been with the practice over 30 years, and probably knows almost as much about veterinary care as some of the less-experienced vets in the area.We feel like valued clients every time we go in here, and would never take our animals to anyone else. The doctors here are excellent however if I could rate the receptionists I would give it a zero. You go to see the doctors though - warning don't trust the receptionist. I had to put my dog down and took her there, well she was there overnight. The receptionist came in to ask about what we'd like to do with the remains and I stopped her and asked if they were going to give her sedatives before they were bringing our dog in to say good bye. she assured me they weren't doing that. They brought her in and she was a zombie of herself already conked out. The receptionist didn't know I'm sure -she shouldn't have answered! I didn't get to say goodbye to my dog - she took that away.Read Less

We adopted two kittens about three weeks ago and were given a complimentary doctors appointment at this clinic.  One of the cats had a weepy eye and both were sneezing alot.  The vet took both cats into the back, did nothing  to check them in my presence.  Were given a clean bill of health when they were brought back in.  This week sneezing still going on, we took them to another vet, found out both had severe colds, one has a parasite and the other has a heart murmur.  Now both are on meds and we have an appointment at a specialist this Tuesday.  As far as I'[m concerned, the Ross vet did nothing, went thru the motions, went in the back and most likely finished their lunch or something,  You be the judge. This is a phenomenal vet. I have been coming here for a while, and have been consistently pleased with the way my children (two Pomeranians) are treated. I have never had any difficulty getting an appointment, despite their being busy. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this veterinary office.
