Worst experience I have ever had at a vet. We were quoted a price considerably cheaper than our normal veterinary office so we cancelled our other appointment to schedule at Southkent. When picking up the cats, I was told I owed $200 more than quoted, and was told it was impossible we were quoted the other price... which had been verified when setting up the appointment. I would have never switch from our normal vet to pay $110 more. I was able to meet with one of the owners, who was very decent about the matter, but the staff at the front counter was not. My girlfriend had called to the vet last night to talk to someone about the matter. She was told she would receive a call back after 8:00 p.m... She never received a call. She called the office again today and spoke to Brenda the Office manager. Who was very rude, and when Brenda was told that we would not be returning, my girlfriend was told, that's a good thing because they didn't want our business. I will not be returning, and will make sure to not recommend Southkent to anyone, but i will be sure to let people know about the experience, and the extremely rude office staff. There was never a price sheet shown to us, no authorization paperwork was signed at drop off, or pickup. again, not everyone on the staff was bad to deal with, but there were a select few that more than made a bad name for everybody. The only name that i can remember specifically is Brenda. A customer should never be told that their business, and money, is wanted, especially when it comes to treating potentially sick animals. The point of the phone calls after picking the animals up was not to cause a problem, or get money back.. it was just originally to try to make sure things like this don't happen, and a simple "I'm sorry that this happened" would have been appreciated, which when i talked to the doctor he did offer me a kind gesture and assistance in the matter, but the office staff did not, and only made the situation worse. I was going to let the whole situation be history until the response today. Please know, I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the customer service we received by your staff, and I am no longer going to just let this go. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through this, and you teach your staff to handle situations like this with more tact and to be more pleasant than they have been. Read Less
