The facility is VERY homelike. The reception staff and vet tech, Jim, were beyond caring and pleasant. The Dr. "W" walked in the room after examining our dog. Didn't say hello, welcome, just started speaking about what she found during the exam. I was very emotional, she asked if she should stop. After speaking about treatment options, she left and the vet tech came in to explain the costs, tests etc. She never once said, I'm sorry, this must be hard, good luck or I'd be happy to do the surgery and hope to buy some time for your dog, NOTHING. Though she seemed VERY knowledgeable and intelligent, drew everything on a marker board, she had absolutely no bedside manner for a very difficult situation with a grim diagnosis of cancer.
I have nothing but thankfulness to Jim for understanding what a difficult appointment this was and pray that he touches all people/animals the same was he did for us. It's not a bad facility, but when working with humans and their pets, I would hope the dr. would be sensitive to the situation. Read Less
