If you care about how your animal is treated then please be aware they abuse their furry patients and have no concern for their well being. They are only concerned about money. There are more people coming forward who have experienced it first hand. More will be telling their horror stories soon. These people need to be shut down permanently. I encourage everyone who had dealt with the abuse to report them to LARA. This office is the most wonderful experience. My dog absolutely loves Dr. B. She is usually miserable and hates going, but Dr. B and her staff truly love the animals. This is a calling for them not a job. Everyone should take their special animals here. I was very disappointed with my experience here. The vet seems like a caring person and doctor, and she was very sweet with my pet rat at her first checkup. But I am unhappy with how the staff handled her euthanasia. They didn't seem very concerned or sensitive about it at all, and they didn't explain the process to me or tell me what to expect. The vet had been busy with a client after performing surgery, but I'm hopeful she would have handled it with more sensitivity. I left feeling very upset. For pet rats I would recommend All Creatures Animal Clinic in Ann Arbor. It is very much worth the drive -- the staff all adore rats and they were so incredibly kind to me when I had to put my other rat to sleep. Also, my friend has brought in a chameleon and quaker parrot, and while she found the staff to be kind and helpful, they didn't seem to know how to care for these pets even though they said she could bring them in (they offered her chameleon a blanket to warm it up, when chameleons are cold-blooded). Waited over an hour and 40 minutes (waiting room was empty) just to get two overpriced estimates (one being almost 900 dollars) for my dog. This was after they told me that they would "work with my budget". Asked to speak to the vet directly about it and she never came back. Was too busy "finishing up" with another customer for 30 minutes at check out while my dog was bleeding and suffering in pain. I paid the office fee and walked out. If I could give this business a 0 star rating I would. Its such a rip off! They had my brother and I wait 3 hours just for a x-ray and a bottle of pain meds for our dog, mind you, there was no one else in the waiting room. The staff and Doctor are extremely nice but I recently lost my job and since the doctor was on vacation when I wanted to put my puppy on their $60 a month plan so I could still care for her they refused, great staff but I'm extremely disappointed they would turn away caring for an animal. We just moved to the area not even a year ago and were looking for a new Vet for our 4 year old Shepherd mix. The staff at Ash Veterinary were wonderful! They are super welcoming and friendly and we were able to make an appointment quickly. Usually our pup is nervous at the Vet but she loved Dr. Broshay and the staff! We came to need an emergency appointment a few months ago and they let us come right in and were very responsive and also empathetic to us as owners during a time of crisis. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Broschay! She is wonderful! She treated my fur babies as if they were her own. She's very kind hearted and caring towards her patients. The thing I liked the most is that she took the time out of her personal time to text me and email me everyday to let me know how my baby was doing. Ash Vet has been nothing but kind & compassionate with my fur baby. They were able to see her right away when she broke her leg. (Our normal vet couldn't accommodate). When she re-broke it 3weeks into the healing process they came through again. I love the compassion the staff I have encountered has shown. We will be taking both of our fur babies there from now on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Broschay, however I really wished some of her staff were nicer and more animal friendly. Took my rabbit in there today to get a Sanitary Trim, since her fur is really thick around her bum area....the tech that took her back closed the shoe box lid that my rabbit was in, instead of leaving it opened or carry her back there. The last few times I've taken her in, the other tech would pick her up and carry her to the back, like a real animal lover. Not this one. When I asked for a trim, they shaved the whole bum area down to her pink skin saying it was caked! Also there seemed to be red areas to where it looked like her fur was pulled off and some blood! I'm not to happy about this experience, and I'm worried that it'll get infected. Also, I asked to get a flea ointment for her as well, they told me that the doctor had to see her. I think it's complete bologna. I asked another vet place and they even said that it's bologna. I'm sorry Doctor Broschay, but some of your staff need to go, because this is unacceptable! As if being so incredible at the medicine part wasn't enough, Dr. Broschay is compassion personified. Her team reflects that as well. She became my vet when she practiced in Dearborn. I don't usually write reviews, but after reading some of them on this site, I felt I had to. I've been going to this clinic for years and would never take my pets anywhere else. The staff really cares about my pets and they know it. One of my pets had a urinary tract infection and took awhile to get better. Dr. Broschay took the time to work with me until we figured out which medication worked best for him. I would highly recommend bringing your pets to Dr. Broschay! Read Less

STOP!!!!! Don't take you pet there. Horrible place. Took our dear dog in for a UTI,they lacerated her uretha and just about killed her. Ended up paying an addition $6500 for her to be treated elsewhere. They sent her home so messed up. They prescribed the wrong food, and wrong medication. Almost killed our girl. She is still not completely out of the dark. Ash hurt my dog, and charged me $1300 to do so. They said they would give me a partial refund.....but they kept putting us off. Now they say, since we mentioned the word "attorney" they were no longer giving us anything. Very unprofessional and uncaring, and obviously inexperienced. PLEASE DO NOT do this to your family; just choose another clinic. I'm not exaggerating; I really don't want to see any this happen to any other families. Enough is enough. This is the best vet clinic around. My dog likes to run away and they are the only ones I will trust her with when we go on a trip. She loves going there and loves the staff. She comes home happy, and beautifully bathed, wearing a cute bandana. Dr. Broschay is top notch and shows so much love and compassion for her patients and their owners. We had to put a pet down and she wrote us notes about the last few moments she spent with Molly. The staff is always there when I need them and always call to check on our dog after an appointment. We have been with Ash since we moved to MI 6 years ago. I did try another Vet and while that Vet was good - it wasn't the same and the dogs didn't respond to that Vet they same way they do to Dr. Broschay. The entire staff works hard to make each pet feel like they are the only pet in the world even though there might be a waiting room full of animals....every one gets the same attention from the front desk to the Doctor. Yes I have had to wait at times, but it is because they are taking the best care possible of someone else's sick pet or they have had an emergency come in. On more than one occassion one of our pets has been the emergency that has delayed other people's appointment times. I feel guilty that other people have to wait, but thankful that they are willing to set schedule aside to handle an injured or ill pet. They try to keep the wait to a minimum, but sometimes a longer wait can't be avoided. If you are looking for the most caring and qualified Vet and staff in the area - this it. take me and my dogs off of your list we will no longer be using this vet.I think its very poor customer service when you make appointments and you never can stick to the times we make.I had 1 appointment 2 weeks ago and I got their on time and the Dr was busy so I had to travel back home and wait 2 hrs for another appointment and wasn?t seen till 45 minutes later and spent a total of 3 hrs in the clinic.Then I come in again today to the same thing the Dr is busy and they wanted me to wait at least 25 minutes but could be longer and they didn?t even call me.Gas isnt cheap nowadays and neither are the services at this vet.I will be making reviews about this place so nobody else has to go thru the trouble of coming to your place. I've been taking my dog Buster to Ash since he was a puppy. He's 2 years old now. We have never had a problem with Ash. The staff and the Dr. has always been professional and compasionate for my dog and the other animals I've seen come in there. It's a great place, with reasonable pricing. I don't usually write reviews but after what I have been through I want everyone to know that if you want the best care-- go to Ash Veterinary Clinic. I had been a long time client of Monroe Vet and became unhappy with their lack of medical knowledge. I then was told by friends that they go to Gibraltar, so we went there. The hospital building is big and nice but I think they should have spent more money in their staff and doctors. We went there for a year and the staff was always rude in one way or another. When my dog was very ill, the clinic had a change over and it is horrible now. The head doctor is obviously not very experienced and the others are fill in doctors. The care was never consistent and they finally said they didn't know what was wrong with my dog. I left there and went to Ark- a new hospital and again was a nice facility and staff was nice but I could tell that they were just as lost as the others because the illness wasn't one of the normal ones they see. I finally went on facebook and asked my friends where they go and I got an overwhelming recommendation to go to Ash Vet. The facility is not as new, but it is a beautful hometown place and smelled great too. The receptionists were so caring and the rest of the staff as well. Best of all Dr. Broshay asked me to bring the records a day or so before the appointment so she could review them. I complied not expecting too much from my other experiences. I was so impressed with her knowledge of my dog and the history. She then found an abnormal blood value that all the others said didn't mean anything. She followed that with some real tests that diagnosed my dog and now he is doing great. She or her staff call regularly just to see how he is. How wonderful! Since being there, I have learned that she also has all of the leading technology with lasers and surgeries. I just want everyone to know that it pays to talk to people in the community because they all knew who they see for an emergency or very sick dog. No it was not cheap, but the tests are expensive and all the money I spent ev erywhere else, I could have had him dx and treated 3x over. Well worth it all. Now all my family and friends go there. I have a spry, healthy 15 year old cat who needed a Health Certificate to travel. Dr. Broschay is the new owner of this practice and she is FABULOUS! She and her staff were all very sweet to my cat and gave her the attention that she needed. They spoke to her as a patient whom they adore, giving her little nicknames as they addressed her. She was very relaxed at the office. They performed only the services that I asked for and didn't try to pitch further tests or procedures. They informed me of other services that they provide for cats who are entering their senior years and gave me signs to watch out for. My former vet would squeeze every possible cent from me, often recommending or bullying me into unnecessary tests and labs; whereas Ash Vet Clinic was very affordable and did only what I scheduled. I called 7 different vets and Ash Vet Clinic was, by far, the most reasonable. I will definitely be back. I trust Dr. Broschay with our little furry family member and give her a grade of A++! As I was scrolling through reviews of a bunch of different places, I was astonished to see this one in particular. Yellowbook should be more proactive in screening its reviews to include useful information instead of inaccurate, unsubstantiated, and highly uneducated reviews from which apparently was a former employee of Ash Vet. I am in the veterinary business and know this doctor, and business very well, as I have worked along side with them on projects and I bring my own pets there. The medicine is of high quality offering laser surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine care, etc. I also know that it is not of her character to ever be abusive to patients or employees. Does the doctor demand high quality from her staff-- yes, as she should. I have worked in the veterinary field now for 25 years and she is the doctor I choose to take care of mine and my families and other co-workers in the veterinary fields pets. I recently had a very in depth surgery performed there because of the doctor and high quality medicine that I know is practiced there. I also am in contact with many canine units in Michigan and have referred many of my clients there whom all have had great experiences and care for their pets. So be realistic when you read some of these reviews and understand that this is the only way one can be hateful and immature when they just were not working up to the standards that this fabulous, caring doctor demands of her workers. A mature individual would have handled this in a manner that would have become her, not make her look less capable. I am thankful she no longer works there, as her review proves her as a cowardly individual who did not enough character to take care of her issues in a professional way. I wouldn't personally recommend this place, I had my dog put under to get her teeth cleaned and she died on the table and then they had the nerve to charge me for the shot to bring her back to life. In my own e xperience with this clinic, they failed to recommend appropiate tests for a puppy that later was determined to have a liver shunt. On a Sat. before going to a different vet, they gave the pup five small doses of pain meds, and would not give more without another appointment, with another large bill. (Just five days after the appointment.) Wanted to do an Xray, instead of a pre and post bile test. Also,I agree they are pricey. comparing prices, I found the same services offered elsewhere at half the cost; for example, for the Xray they wanted to do , they quoted a price of $200, and at another Vet ,the Dix Animal Clinic, they wanted half ($98). and in the spring quotes for neutering a cat and shots was $300, when I had the same done at the Nichols Clinic in Wayne for half that amount. My new kitten is a 'patient' at Ash Vet. They are very pet friendly and owner friendly as well. Yes, they are a little pricey (given that this is an 'uninsured' entity requiring health care) however, I believe you get what you pay for. I walk away KNOWING they have provided excellent service IN my presence as well as in my ABSENCE. I have been at other Vets with past pets and service was adequate but nonetheless pricey. I love my new kitten but I am a realist. At some point in time, I may not be in a position to afford expensive procedures. At that point in time, I would evaluate the quality of my pet's life. What I do not like in ANY vet is when the make you feel GUILTY for passing on a suggested service. I have not had that feeling with Ash Vet and I most certainly appreciate that! Read Less

I was very disapointed in this vet clinic. My moms cat had a fight abcess on his leg, We couldn't get him in to his vet so I called there. They charged almost five hundred dollars for her cat and they didn't even have to drain the abcess. I was very angery and disapointed. To top it off the vet was rude. They did discount her bill when she complained but it was still over three hundred dollars. NEVER AGAIN. My vet usually charges about 100.00 for this procedure. Very UNHAPPY Read Less
