North Gratiot Veterinary Hospital

Chesterfield, Michigan
General Info
Due to the reputation we have established because of our dedication to serving the area, we are able to offer the level of attention and care that quality pets need. North Gratiot Veterinary Hospital in Chesterfield emulates the daily natural pattern of animal movement (from morning activity to evening rest) while offering dependable care solutions throughout Michigan. The clinic evaluates entry posture, sound sensitivity, pacing patterns, and focal behavior with meticulous attention. An examination proceeds in a cycle based on the pet’s response. A veterinarian checks the ears or teeth during a curious phase or the belly and joints when the dog relaxes. Pet owners ask questions about little behavior changes like where the animal hangs out more in the house when it’s close to feeding time or why they spend time near doors and soft places. North Gratiot Veterinary Hospital performs diagnostic services and age-appropriate physical exams together with preventative health screenings plus gastrointestinal stabilization procedures and endocrine management techniques and surgical preparation protocols followed by postoperative reflection routines. Appointments may be booked as one complete session or split into two shorter ones, depending on the pet’s temperament and the caregiver’s schedule. Medical staff identify which tasks to perform based on behavior and execute them not by the checklist but rather by identifying sequences of events depending on how much pet moves and tolerates touch. Families receive detailed reports about their pets’ daily patterns, symptoms exhibited at specific times, and behaviors after rebalancing stimulation sessions. Additionally, the fact that timelines and pacing charts use text check-ins to follow up ensures that the latter targets the pet’s feelings rather than its health. North Gratiot Veterinary Hospital provides animal healthcare services to Chesterfield families and Michigan residents designed for pets’ everyday real-life routines in their homes. The clinic provides several services such as Equine Care, Spay/Neuter, Bloodwork, Behavioral Counseling, and Wellness Exams. They assist the pets at various levels of their lives, from basic checkups to advanced medical requirements. Pet owners highly value the expertise of the team and the way they communicate compassionately. Parents praise the clinic for explaining patients’ medical needs comprehensively and in a supportive way. Whether it is the senior pet care or emergency health issues, the staff wants to be their partner for life and this can only be assured by consistent high quality treatment and care. The clinic also plays an important role in educating the owners and prevention health strategies. North Gratiot Veterinary Hospital’s involvement in the community contributes to a solid and firm basis of being a pet owner. Both new and returning clients appreciate the ambiance, which strives to maintain modern standards.

I've been taking my min doxie here her entire life, which is over 11 years. Now we also take our other doxie here too. We see Dr. Brett and Dr. T. We trust them with all our hearts. They are the best vets around. They are experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate. They understand that pets are not just pets but part of the family. The techs and staff are always good to us too. Even when they are crazy busy they are patient, kind, they take their time to answer our questions and work with us. It is hard to find good care now and days and people you can trust but for us this is that kind of place. I would recommend them to any pet owner over and over. Which is huge because my dogs are my babies. Read Less

Worst animal hospital EVER! They don't care about your pet only the money. Some of the receptionist we're rude. They wouldn't do anything to help my pet untill I paid first cause they were closing soon an they wanted to shut down the computers system. So they told me my pet was fine, even though she was bleeding from the nose which only started in the morning that day an also she was very dehydrated. They also said their was no fracture. An they also told me she could be pregnant. But didn't do any test to make further sure. So I paid for an IV injection, and also an injection to help her stop puking. Called ahead of time to schedule an appointment for my four pound dog. I also wanted to get his shots priced out so I know how much money it was going to cost me. After talking on the phone to lady at the front desk and scheduling and pricing the total came to $130... called my brother who took my dog to the vet for me and the bill came to $181!!!!!! The lady on the phone failed to mention that there was a $50 vet fee associated any time you come in. It doesn't matter what you have done it will automatically cost you $50 plus the cost of whatever you are having done and apparently you should know this coming in because they don't tell you over the phone when you call to ask.
