First time I met Dr. Sharp and her staff is when they had to operate on my dog for a dental abscess. I cannot begin to write how impressed I am with Vet Select. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first rodeo, even been to MSU Small Animal Clinic for surgeries. The staff was fantastic, answered all my questions and did follow-up phone calls. Before surgery, Dr. Sharp went over all the costs and options. My dog has a history of cancer and we constantly monitor him for lumps and we couldn't find any. Before surgery, they checked for me. Dr. Sharp and her staff found TWO! She brought be back and showed me them before she removed them. She even removed a cyst on his eyelid and now you can't even tell where it was. Dr Sharp and her staff are great! I am new to the area and I called them with a problem with one of my cats and they were able to get us in same day and took great care of him! Dr. Sharp and staff are so wonderful and accommodating to us! We work as a team to keep our pets healthy. When I call for a question it amazes me that they remember me and my dog just by my name. They remember things that are not medical about our pets. For example, our dog does better being examined in the back room. They remember that every time. They also remember training we habe done with her that helps them in the exam even though I am not in the room with her. Fantastic people and care! Read Less

Money, all about charging you to death! The vet herself was kind and knowledgeable, but the businesses protocol is horrible! Spent close to 3k in 1.5 months, surgery included. When it comes time for aftercare checks, no compassion, integrity, or morals. They contiñue to charge office visits, and tests! I personally feel that this vet is a rip off. When I was a new pet owner, they were constantly pushing me to have various expensive tests ran on a dog that was healthy. Kidney, eye, diabetes, etc. I didn't know any better, so i paid to have all this work in that cost thousands of dollars. Again, nothing ever came back that she was sick. They also gave my dog her vacc's in 6 month instead of 1 year doses. This of course made me come back every 6 months to have her updated. After speaking to my sister, I found out that there were annual doses. When i confronted them about it, they blew me off and acted like I requested 6 moth doses. Why in the world would I do that? Just be warned, they charge a lot for the office visits and will try to get you to have every test out there. Read Less

I took my mixed breed dog here because it was near home. They insist that you bring your animal in every 6 months for a wellness visit. They give you vaccinations that are bi-annual instead of annual and don't tell you that it is offered in an annual vac. They push for un-needed tests. They wanted to draw blood every six months, etc. They also told me that they wouldn't give me a prescription to Pet Meds because Pet Meds sell expired meds and that they would not meet their price. All they did was say my cat needed surgery for over $900. They cleaned the wound and shaved the area and did blood work. Took my cat to another vet and took care of the cat for $240. Also called vet select and asked what was done to the cat. They said " no medicine or blood work was done ". The next day they charged over $300 for the office visit. Read Less

I recently adopted a puppy and decided to try out a new vet. Wow! Was I in for a great surprise. They were very patient with me and all of my questions. The techinician showed me how to do some simple tasks at home for the care of my puppy. She explained a vaccine plan due to what I planned for him. The vet was extremely nice and followed up with any other questions I had. They even called me the next day to see how my puppy was doing after his shots. They try to up sell you to the MAX! You can't trust their advice all they care about is the money. I've been over charged a few times, then when they want me to see their cardiologist for my PERFECTLY HEALTHY dog, I decided to get a second opinion, in which I found out that he is just fine. So don't trust them thank god I didn't or I would be out 500 for just diagnostics and who knows after that how many ""procedures"" they would try to do.
