The staff is caring and understanding to your concerns. The lady at the front desk even got up to get the door for me (I had a stroller) and if you've been here and seen the layout it's not a simple easy desk to get around. The vets I've worked with listened and understood what I was concerned about and were able and willing to answer my questions (even the ones that popped up after I left). We were already using West Michigan Veterinary Services for our large animals (calves, goats, pigs) and, because of the great care we receive from Dr. Ponstein, Dr. Myers, and Dr. Vlietstra, decided to start bringing our dogs to the clinic as well. Even though it's a much further drive than the vet clinic we used to use for our dogs, I couldn't be happier that we switched! This is the vet office I use for my horses. All the large animal vets are good, however Dr. Ira is fantastica! He has been great with everything. He is both professional and personal in his work. He was there every step of the way when I put my mare down. The entire clinic was very sympathetic. This is a five star plus review. My Chihuahua had a fast growing breast cancer that was nipped in the bud by fast acting doctors at West Michigan Veterinary Services and their wonderful staff. Our little girl is three years cancer free when other veterinary offices gave her months to live. You cannot put a price on your best friend's health. Still healthy 3 years plus. Thank you WMVS. This has been my Vet services for the past 15 years and I am leaving West Mi Vets. I have always known that they are on the higher priced end for everything but I always felt they were caring and gave me enough good advice to continue going to them. Well in the past year it has all gone down hill. I have made several attempts to talk to the 2 vets I have used there about the problems. It hasn't improved. The customer service ladies who answer the phone have been rude, told me if I didn't like what they were saying to just go elsewhere. So after my sweet dog hurt his back in the snow and was in terrible pain, they refused to work me in, told me they had only one vet on staff that day and I should go to an emergency hospital in Grand Rapids. It turned out, all my dog needed was some muscle relaxers, a pain shot and he recovered beautifully with a different Vet - South Kent Vet in Byron Center. They worked me in with only one vet on hand and was wonderfully kind and talented!!! I wasn't even their client! With this kind of excellent service out there, as well as cheaper prices altogether - West Mi Vet will be losing lifetime customers. I will never step foot in that Vets office again. This is only one example of many I have had with West Mi Vet lately. Bye Bye West Mi Vet! I will never look back! Read Less

I've taken my animals to 4 other hospitals in the Muskegon Area, Never again. Although Now my dog is kinda picky & gets Very Neurvose going in to a place full of other animals.
