They have been taking my cats there for years and when one developed Allergies and had to get monthly shots, she stopped charging me for the Office Visit. When the same cat developed Cancer she did the same for a monthly shot to keep her comfortable until it was time to put her down. When that happened she did not charge me. Let me first start off by saying that the actual vet here is fantastic! I have been bringing my animals to her for years from as far away as Detroit. She has always been great with my dogs and her prices, while they have increased slightly over the past couple of visits, are still incredibly hard to beat! That being said, I will no longer ever take my animals there or recommend this clinic given the horrible treatment that the new receptionist/front desk lady constantly provides to myself, my fiance, my boarding facility and other customers. She is INCREDIBLY rude and snippy. I don't know if she just puts on a good show when the owner is around but my goodness, vet clinics are already annoying enough to go to without the added frustration of hearing this lady berate my over the phone and other customers at the desk. I really wish that this change hadn't happened because again, Dansville Vet Clinic WAS a great experience every time I had visited. This place is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!I've been coming here for a few years now, and have always had great service, but never got around to Yelping about it.Yesterday, I needed to get a copy of my cats' vaccinations. I drove out there and found that they actually weren't up-to-date! I needed these records to have the cats boarded at a kennel for a week while our family goes to Disney, and this was my last day off work before we leave!The man (Sorry, I don't know his name) said "What can we do to help? What do you need from me?" He then told me to bring both cats back at 5:45pm and it would be taken care of, the cats could get their necessary shots brought up to date!We returned, and Dr. Wendy was amazingly efficient and skilled as usual! She is great with calming animals and makes it a much easier experience for them. She even shaved the knots out of my ragdoll cats neck hair and picked out a knot on my other cat.When we went to leave, the 2 men at the desk were extremely cordial and hospitable and we had a long pleasant conversation.Their prices are outstanding!!!! I took my 8 week old puppy to dansville for a simple UTI & they gave her the wrong antibiotics that specifically say that they are not to be given to a dog under a year of age. Now my puppy has possible joint issues. They are extremely cheap but you get the care you pay for. They were not friendly & the facility did not feel clean. I do not recommend dansville. Read Less

Who closes a clinic on the weekends to leave sick animals that desperately need medical attention. Family member of mine brought a animal in and was told the animal was being "Discharged" because y'all are not open on the weekends. This persons animal could pass away because it needs immediate assistance. Hopefully MSU or a legit clinic can assist this person. Read Less

I have been going here for years and yes the prices are good for shots ..flea meds and so on...but when ur dog passes away the level of compassion sucks..most places will make it easy as possible to cremate ur loved one ...not here ..they will ask u to back up to the incinerator and make u hand off ur loved one and with u standing there in tears sobbing they will put ur pet into the incinerator ..this has happen twice to us ...never never again Read Less

My family has used Dansville Vet Clinic for all our pets for as long as I can remember. Now that I've grown with two cats of my own, I'm continuing the tradition. Staff is always friendly and puts my cats (and my own) worries at ease. Every local vet I called today, I was quoted anywhere from $40 to $90 (PER CAT) just for an ear mite test-- not including any medication. Then their spay was anywhere between $110 and $180. When I called Dansville, they said $20 office visit, and $20 for the one-time ear mites meds. Plus they got TK's spay scheduled for the end of the month for only $85. These guys always lay all the costs out on the table, and if something comes up that would cost more, they clear it by you before "surprising" you with an outrageous bill. It may be a bit of a haul, but I'd rather save myself a few hundred dollars and go somewhere I know I can trust.Read Less
