The staff are caring and compassionate! One of my dogs died on Christmas Eve & Zeeb was open to take her & prepare her for cremation. I did not want my dog to be cremated, but since the ground was snow covered & frozen, I felt I had no other choice. A few days later, God allowed for mild weather & all the snow melted. My husband contacted Zeeb to see if my dog had been cremated & she had not due to the Christmas holiday. She had actually been picked up that morning by the company who handles the procedure & the staff at Zeeb was nice enough to contact the company & request that her body be spared for us to pick up. We were able to pick her up a couple of days later & got to bury her at her grandparents' home! The staff was very nice during the whole ordeal & even sent us a sympathy card. I forgot to mention that we were not patients. We actually only called Zeeb because it was the only place in our area open on Christmas Eve. I'm so thankful they were our only option, as I will be taking my other dog there from now on! Wonderful customer service! Read Less

Dr. T and everyone at Zeeb is great. I have taken all five of my hounds (over the years) to them. At one point even though I was in South Lansing, I still drove to DeWitt because I know Dr. T would give them the best care possible. He takes the time to explain everything he is looking for during the examination and I know that he is focused on the health of my pets. He will always take the time to answer all my questions and give me all my options whether it be a diet recommendation or just general health suggestions. This is how all veterinarian practices should operate! Thank you Dr. T, see you soon! Read Less

A month ago I found a kitten in the middle of the road with serious injuries. To make a longer story short, this kitten, who now has a loving home and a name, needed to have his front right leg amputated. I called upon the Pet Health Center and they got him in straight away and his surgery scheduled for the following day. From my first contact with this office until I picked him up was wonderful. They maintained contact with me throughout his stay, and in the days after bringing my new kitten home I received a couple of follow up calls to check on his progress. He healed up beautifully, without any complications, and is now bounding his way around the house as a happy healthy kitten. I will be be returning to Dr. Thimmig and his friendly staff for the continuing care of my kittens veterinarian needs. Read Less

If I could give this a zero rating, I would. This center is unprofessional, neglectful, rude, and does not care about the animals or their owners. **DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE** I made an appointment for grooming due to my normal groomer being booked for the week and needing to have my dogs, (2 Pomeranians) groomed before company arrives this weekend. My appointment/drop off time was 9:30am. I dropped my dogs off, discussed with the groomer what to do with them, (just shaved them down and gave them a bath, nothing fancy), she told me they'd be done "by the afternoon" and asked if I had any time constraints. I replied that I did not, and that afternoon sounded good. Afternoon, to most people, especially when their animals are dropped off early in the morning is 1:00-2:00 timeframe right? Apparently not. At 3:30 I call for an update on my dogs. The receptionist was like speaking to wall paper. Completely unfriendly and rude when I asked why it was taking so incredibly long? She told me they'd be ready by 4:30. Great. Another hour? 7 hours to groom my dogs? No... This means that for the majority of the time they were kept in a kennel, alone, without water, and without being let out to relieve themselves. I arrived at 4:20 and requested to speak with the groomer. I began explaining to the receptionist while I was waiting that this situation is unacceptable. The owner of the center, and the in-house veterinarian Dr. Thimming then comes to the desk to address me. I explain my concerns and advise that I am a first time visitor and have had a bad experience. He responds with, "well, she told you they'd be done in the afternoon" I tried to explain as I did above that they've been here since 9:30am. I asked if they had been let out at all? Of course he said yes sensing my irritation, but we all know no one let them out. I continued to explain that I do not appreciate anything that happened today and that I will not be returning. I added that if I am charged for this horrific service, I will be filing a dispute of the charge with my bank as soon as possible. The extremely rude, and now visibly agitated, Dr. Thimming took a step forward towards me as if to assert his masculinity and said, "Look, a service was provided to you, the groomer did a great job, and you will pay for that service". I smiled, and agreed that yes, I will pay for this service, but reiterated I will be disputing the charges with my bank as soon as they post to my account. He said, "sounds good to me" and disappeared in his office. I left. drove the 4 mile distance back to my house where by dogs immediately urinated, by how long it took for them to finish, it was clear they had a full bladder. I brought them in the house where they continued to fight over the water bowl like they couldn't get enough, and then immediately after starting signaling they needed to go out again. I took them out, and they both pooped at the same time as soon as they hit the grass. All of this in the first few minutes I was home. But sure! You let them out, sure! They had water! My husband is a US Marine and is away for training. We are stationed here for the next few years. I was trying to get something accomplished today and instead I was intimidated, and bullied. My dogs were neglected in a kennel for 7 straight hours with none of the basic abilities such as relieving themselves and having access to water. This is PATHETIC. And I will be reporting this to all other outlets in hopes someone takes the time to read and it decides to take their animals to a better location that can be trusted to keep their animals healthy and safe.
