General Info
In February of 1978, Dr Earl Cornprobst along with his wife, Cheri, opened a small animal practice in Southern Monroe County. With dedication and long hours they built the practice into one of the larger practices in the state of Michigan. In 2005 they decided it was time to build a new practice based on a new set of goals and dreams. Thus they founded the Heritage Animal Hospital in Dundee, Michigan.
The Dundee location was chosen recognizing that clients are willing to drive for good service, personal pet care and convenient hours. Located at the crossroads of US-23 and M-50, Heritage is a reasonable drive from much of Southeast Michigan and parts of Northwest Ohio. Dr Cornprobst equipped the practice with the newest technology available. Everything from networked microscopes to digital xrays, and more was included. The large building layout was chosen based on Dr. Cornprobst's past experience of starting small, needing multiple building additions to accommodate the growing practice. 2011 finds Heritage Animal Hospital poised to be a major permanent fixture in the small animal veterinary community of SE Michigan and NW Ohio. We will endure the struggle to become A Practice of Excellence. We are excited about the possibilities to further serve our clients and their special friends.
Dr. Amanda Chrzanowski graduated from Michigan State University in 2008. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, ultrasound and working with responsible breeders. Dr. Chrzanowski takes OFA radiographs and is also certified in the PennHIP technique, both of which are done to reduce the incidence of hip dysplasia in breeding programs. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys training and competing with her dogs in agility, obedience and show. She has been a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America's Health and Genetics Committee since 2008 and is also a member of the Presidents Council of the Canine Health Foundation. Dr. Chrzanowski resides in Southern Michigan with her husband and two toddlers, their dogs, Macy (Golden Retriever), Stella (Bulldog), and Spencer (Bulldog), their two cats (both Persian rescues), and growing saltwater aquarium.
Dr. Amber Waun graduated from Michigan State University in May of 2013. Her interests include imaging, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She is a member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association as well as the American College of Veterinary Radiology. She has a soft spot in her heart for any brachycephalic breed (smushy face) and is hoping to spend more focus on treatment for problems in those breeds as she builds her career. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with Emmett (her puggle), Santiago (siamese kitty), and her rabbit, Opal. Most recently she has added painting to one of her favorite hobbies. We are very excited to have her as part of the great team at Heritage.
Dr. Christine Jennings is the newest addition to the Heritage family. She graduated in 2015 from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests lie in emergency medicine and ultrasonography.

What a very caring place.
My husband and I were traveling through Dundee Monday February 19, 2018. We had stopped at a gas station and my 14 year old chihuahua had an accident in her cage so we stopped to clean her up and I wasn’t aware of her laying on the door and opened the door to clean her up and she fell out of the truck onto the pavement.
We took her behind the gas station to Heritage Animal Hospital, the employees got her out of the truck but she didn’t make it. They cleaned her up, took paw prints and put her name in a plaque for us to take home, wrapped her up for her ride home.
I just can’t believe what great employees they all were. Very Caring.
Will gladly pass the word to everyone what a great experience for such a sad experience.

I dog got a hold of some poison. The local kennel recommended them as being the best in the area. Heritage told me how I should handle the situation correctly. When I arrived they came right out to our car and brought my dog into the back room and started working with him. They were trustworthy, kind, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. I love this place so much! I am in frequently with my dog Mufasa who has quite a complicated health history. Mufasa and I have seen every vet here at one time or another, and they are all great! I recently had to take my cat in for a surgery, and they were all great with him as well. He was super difficult and grouchy, but they were still all so patient and calm with him. He's now resting at home and back to his old self.

I dont have enough kind words to say about Heritage, the workers, and doctors- but specifically Dr. Amanda. Between our 3 dogs we are frequent flyers and every visit is always top notch care. I feel like when she steps in the room she cares for my dogs the same way she would her own. She has given us great news and heartbreaking news and with each one I have never felt uncomfortable to ask any number of questions to her, and not a lot of docs have that quality. She cares, and it shows in her work. I couldnt imagine taking my pups anywhere else. Thank you for the amazing care you give to Boomer, Nalla, and Hank.

Awesome job! I took my large breed girl in to get images of her hips/elbows for OFA. I have never felt as comfortable with vet as I did with Dr Amanda Chrzanowski. She was very gentle and confident with my generally fearful dog. When it was time for her to leave me, it was the first time she has ever willingly went with a stranger. I was nervous of sedating my girl, but Dr Amanda's quiet confidence made me know she would be safe and well taken care of. Moments after I left the office, I received an email with the images they took so that I could keep them in my records. I would highly suggest her for anyone looking for OFA images. Thank you too all the Heritage Animal Hospital staff I interacted with today. Everyone was very helpful and kind and made my 3 hour journey to the office well worth while.

I brought my elderly cat there with an upper respiratory infection, because my regular vet I had used for years could not see her even though they knew she was a senior. They told me to take her to an emergency vet because they would be closing soon, Heritage Animal made time and took care of her. On another occasion they helped again when it was time for us to say goodbye to our elderly pet, they were compassionate and comforting during a very difficult time. We are taking all of our pets there from now on regardless that it is a .20 minute drive, we are just very Thankful to have found them. I recommend them highly for their genuine love of pets and desire to assist the fur parent.

My family has been taking our dogs to Heritage Animal Hospital since our oldest golden retriever (Lucy, 6) was a puppy. She underwent spay surgery here and has annual checkups with Dr. Earl Cornprobst (however when we can't see Dr. Cornprobst, the other vets have been just as great (Dr. Jennings, specifically). I felt moved to write a yelp review after my most recent experience with the Heritage staff when Izzy, our 6 month old golden, was scheduled for a routine spay surgery. This is the first dog I have raised on my own and although Lucy underwent the same procedure years earlier, I couldn't help but feel nervous for the little one. The woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and kind. The vet tech came out and gave Izzy lots of pets and praise and began to explain the procedure/when I should expect to hear from them/recovery to me.Hours later, I received a call from Heritage. I was told that the spay surgery went smoothly however Dr. Amber Waun felt something in Izzy's intestine and, with my permission, wanted to further explore to ensure there was nothing wrong. I am SO glad Dr. Amber followed her intuition. If it wasn't for her, Izzy would have probably been at Heritage later in the week for having swallowed various pieces from her rope toys, grass, and plant roots which ended up in a large, tangled knot.I am SO thankful for the entire staff at Heritage Animal Hospital. It has been a few days since Izzy's surgery and in addition to her incision healing up nicely, she's back to being the playful, energetic 6 month old puppy she was prior to the operation. The professionalism, knowledge, and passion each employee has is something that is greatly appreciated from a service/consumer standpoint: from the women at the front desk who take care of paperwork - to the individuals in the operating room. You can absolutely tell that each person at Heritage loves what they do (I'm not kidding when I say they love it - I remember the very first time I took Lucy to Heritage, Dr. Cornprobst got on the floor with her and was petting her). Whether it is a routine checkup or a surgery, I wholeheartedly recommend and fully trust Dr. Cornprobst, Dr. Jennings, and Dr. Waun with our little furry ones! Its just an added bonus they're all MSU grads :)!

Over an extended period of time, personnel at this facility failed, by their own admission, to read lab results resulting in our dog being undiagnosed with kidney failure until he was critically ill. A refund of the unread tests offered by this facility was of little comfort. Early detection of any issue nearly always leads to a more-promising outcome. We would never consider taking ANY animal back to this facility. Ever.

I love this vet clinic. They always fit me in when my pets are sick. All the staff are great but Dr Cornprobst is the best. You can tell he truly cares about the animals. He doesn't try to tack on extra cost. If my pets don't need something, he tells me. Unlike a lot of veterinarians, he fixes the problem, instead of half-assing it so you have to come back. He gives discounts when he can and free samples. I love this place. I recently moved an hour and a half away and I've still been driving there, because when your pet is your baby, you take them to the best. And this is the best place.

The staff is so friendly and made our visit such a great experience! Drove 4-1/2 hours for their services in OFA xrays and was worth every min of the drive. Will do it again for sure.

Wonderful caring staff. They gave us 2 extra years with our fur baby and were there for us at the end. We appreciate all the love and care. We can never thank you enough for everything.

Best place to take your pet. They really care about your pet just like it was their pet. Have never been disappointed in them. I drive over an hour one way to take my doggies there.

Caring and compassionate care. Knowledgeable Dr's covering many various specialties. I highly recommend them and I have used many different veterinary clinics through Wayne and Monroe Counties.

Top notch care, responsible pricing. These guys are really good about getting you in at the last minute and they generally care about your pet. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

What a very caring place.
My husband and I were traveling through Dundee Monday February 19, 2018. We had stopped at a gas station and my 14 year old chihuahua had an accident in her cage so we stopped to clean her up and I wasn’t aware of her laying on the door and opened the door to clean her up and she fell out of the truck onto the pavement.
We took her behind the gas station to Heritage Animal Hospital, the employees got her out of the truck but she didn’t make it. They cleaned her up, took paw prints and put her name in a plaque for us to take home, wrapped her up for her ride home.
I just can’t believe what great employees they all were. Very Caring.
Will gladly pass the word to everyone what a great experience for such a sad experience.

I dog got a hold of some poison. The local kennel recommended them as being the best in the area. Heritage told me how I should handle the situation correctly. When I arrived they came right out to our car and brought my dog into the back room and started working with him. They were trustworthy, kind, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. I really felt safe with my pet and their hands.

5 stars is easy for this veterinary clinic! This is by far the very best place we have found in the area. We drive from Saline to Dundee without hesitation. Always ready with an answer, easy to schedule with , great hours, awesome techs and we love Dr. Amber. They take time to know you and your pet and always try to do their best without gouging you financially. The tech Olivia is super!

I love this place so much! I am in frequently with my dog Mufasa who has quite a complicated health history. Mufasa and I have seen every vet here at one time or another, and they are all great! I recently had to take my cat in for a surgery, and they were all great with him as well. He was super difficult and grouchy, but they were still all so patient and calm with him. He's now resting at home and back to his old self.

I dont have enough kind words to say about Heritage, the workers, and doctors- but specifically Dr. Amanda. Between our 3 dogs we are frequent flyers and every visit is always top notch care. I feel like when she steps in the room she cares for my dogs the same way she would her own. She has given us great news and heartbreaking news and with each one I have never felt uncomfortable to ask any number of questions to her, and not a lot of docs have that quality. She cares, and it shows in her work. I couldnt imagine taking my pups anywhere else. Thank you for the amazing care you give to Boomer, Nalla, and Hank.

We saw Dr Joyce yesterday for Rodeos evaluation. He has weekends in his back legs. He is a greyhound who worked hard in his life and we wanted to give him every chance for a full, pain controlled life. Dr. JOYCE is amazing!!! ... Excellent assessment and treatment. Very willing to work with family. Taught exercises to us while demonstrating on Rodeo...who...by the way... absolutely loved her. Her treatment plan ideas are goal oriented and oooo so appropriate. We have another appt set up for more treatment..

Awesome job! I took my large breed girl in to get images of her hips/elbows for OFA. I have never felt as comfortable with vet as I did with Dr Amanda Chrzanowski. She was very gentle and confident with my generally fearful dog. When it was time for her to leave me, it was the first time she has ever willingly went with a stranger. I was nervous of sedating my girl, but Dr Amanda's quiet confidence made me know she would be safe and well taken care of. Moments after I left the office, I received an email with the images they took so that I could keep them in my records. I would highly suggest her for anyone looking for OFA images. Thank you too all the Heritage Animal Hospital staff I interacted with today. Everyone was very helpful and kind and made my 3 hour journey to the office well worth while.

I have taken now 2 litters of boxer puppies there for tail docking and dew claws. They have dont a very good job with them and momma. They also helped my autistic son when one of our girls (rosette) was hit by a truck and tried to calm my son till i got there. They cleand her up as if she were their own even though i took her home and they didnt even charge me for her. They are great

I brought my elderly cat there with an upper respiratory infection, because my regular vet I had used for years could not see her even though they knew she was a senior. They told me to take her to an emergency vet because they would be closing soon, Heritage Animal made time and took care of her. On another occasion they helped again when it was time for us to say goodbye to our elderly pet, they were compassionate and comforting during a very difficult time. We are taking all of our pets there from now on regardless that it is a .20 minute drive, we are just very Thankful to have found them. I recommend them highly for their genuine love of pets and desire to assist the fur parent.

My family has been taking our dogs to Heritage Animal Hospital since our oldest golden retriever (Lucy, 6) was a puppy. She underwent spay surgery here and has annual checkups with Dr. Earl Cornprobst (however when we can't see Dr. Cornprobst, the other vets have been just as great (Dr. Jennings, specifically). I felt moved to write a yelp review after my most recent experience with the Heritage staff when Izzy, our 6 month old golden, was scheduled for a routine spay surgery. This is the first dog I have raised on my own and although Lucy underwent the same procedure years earlier, I couldn't help but feel nervous for the little one. The woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and kind. The vet tech came out and gave Izzy lots of pets and praise and began to explain the procedure/when I should expect to hear from them/recovery to me.Hours later, I received a call from Heritage. I was told that the spay surgery went smoothly however Dr. Amber Waun felt something in Izzy's intestine and, with my permission, wanted to further explore to ensure there was nothing wrong. I am SO glad Dr. Amber followed her intuition. If it wasn't for her, Izzy would have probably been at Heritage later in the week for having swallowed various pieces from her rope toys, grass, and plant roots which ended up in a large, tangled knot.I am SO thankful for the entire staff at Heritage Animal Hospital. It has been a few days since Izzy's surgery and in addition to her incision healing up nicely, she's back to being the playful, energetic 6 month old puppy she was prior to the operation. The professionalism, knowledge, and passion each employee has is something that is greatly appreciated from a service/consumer standpoint: from the women at the front desk who take care of paperwork - to the individuals in the operating room. You can absolutely tell that each person at Heritage loves what they do (I'm not kidding when I say they love it - I remember the very first time I took Lucy to Heritage, Dr. Cornprobst got on the floor with her and was petting her). Whether it is a routine checkup or a surgery, I wholeheartedly recommend and fully trust Dr. Cornprobst, Dr. Jennings, and Dr. Waun with our little furry ones! Its just an added bonus they're all MSU grads :)!

they milked me for treatments that never worked. when i inquired about how they were doing things they cancelled my appointment for my very sick cat. how rotten can you be! they got alot of money out of me for my 10 animals and to be treated this way was pretty dirty business practice. will never go back. avoid this place they just want your money.

Over an extended period of time, personnel at this facility failed, by their own admission, to read lab results resulting in our dog being undiagnosed with kidney failure until he was critically ill. A refund of the unread tests offered by this facility was of little comfort. Early detection of any issue nearly always leads to a more-promising outcome. We would never consider taking ANY animal back to this facility. Ever.

I love this vet clinic. They always fit me in when my pets are sick. All the staff are great but Dr Cornprobst is the best. You can tell he truly cares about the animals. He doesn't try to tack on extra cost. If my pets don't need something, he tells me. Unlike a lot of veterinarians, he fixes the problem, instead of half-assing it so you have to come back. He gives discounts when he can and free samples. I love this place. I recently moved an hour and a half away and I've still been driving there, because when your pet is your baby, you take them to the best. And this is the best place.
