Absolutely the worse smell I have ever encountered!! No clue how this place stayed open! We took out cat here in an emergency so we plugged our noses in hopes to get some help!! They wouldn't even look at my cat till paperwork was filled out and signed even though they knew it was emergency! All they care about here is the $$$$ They charged us $140.00 for X-rays and blood work to just refer us to a specialist because they were untrained to read the X-ray except to tell us that he had a broken sternum. I asked for them to give him pain meds, but they had the nerve to say my cats not in pain!! Unreal do not take your fur babies here. I only wish I would've read some of these reviews prior I'd most definitely would've went elsewhere!!! Read Less

The clinic is a small but creative clinic! The staff are very friendly and gentle. Reasonably priced, my pet had kennel cough accepted me even I was not their regular client because my Vet was closed, their prices were reasonable. I recommend this hospital for my friends to check their pest checked in the future because they take excellent and gentle care of our pets, and they seem to know what they’re doing. All the staff work together as team to accomplish two common goals, the lives of our pets, and your satisfaction. Special thanks to the Vet in duty and his passionate team Read Less

Terrible and disgusting people. On December 11, 2017 at 7pm I took my dog Tyson here because he had a fever of 105.6 which is dangerously high. I called earlier explained to them what he looks like and told them I would be there in 10 minutes. I got there and because my dog was feeling so sick, he could not walk or stand on his own. So I had to carry my 70lb dog into the office. I walk in and begin to put my dog on the ground and as I am doing this, the rude receptionist asks "can I help you with something". I began to explain to her the situation and that I called earlier and she interrupted me as I was talking and said "if you want the doctor to do anything to him, you have to fill out this paperwork". I get done with the paperwork and she says "you can go to room 3" and points to her right. Doesn't walk me back there or show me which one is room 3. So I'm sitting in the exam room with my dog and because he has cancer he has 3 tumors on his neck so I keep his collar and leash in my pocket so it is not painful for him to wear all day long. The doctor walks in and sees Tyson, then begins to back up and close the door a bit and the very first thing he says to me is "why isn't your dog on a leash". Didn't say hi, ask how I'm doing, or my dog. So it's very shocking that someone can be a caring animal vet and be afraid of a dog who is lying on the floor, visibly sick and cannot even move to do anything to him. I tell him he cannot move and he has tumors so I keep the leash off. Then he tells me "if you want me to exam him, you have to hold him down or something". As if he really needed to be restrained. So he takes ten seconds to hear his heart and starts to tell me he will prescribe me 6 different medications for his cancer. I tell him Tyson is seeing a holistic vet right now for that but I am concern with his dangerously high fever of 105.6 right now. He has already had cancer for almost 6 months. So he tells me "You cannot pick and choose which illness you want to treat. That is my job and I'm telling you he need medication for his cancer not his fever. His fever isn't important right now because his cancer caused the fever". So I told him again, "I brought him here so you can reduce his fever, that's it. If his temperature keeps rising, that's going to be worst than his cancer". Then he says something and I couldn't understand him several times because he doesn't even speak fluent English, and he got mad at me that he cannot speak English correctly and I couldn't understand him. So then he tells me, "I cannot help you if you don't want to give your dog 'real' medicine. We need to address his cancer not his fever". At this point I told him I would just leave and find another vet who will put him on fluids and other things to actually help reduce his fever right away because I can't wait around for his temperature to get any higher. So he says "ok" turns around, walks out of the door, and doesn't say another word. When I left, the extremely rude receptionist also didn't say a word to me either. If you care about your animal, please do not take him to this vet since the staff is extremely rude, unsympathetic, pushy, and the doctor himself is afraid of animals and didn't care that my dog was dying! What a joke. Read Less

If I could give them zero stars, I would. If you take your pet for boarding, they probably won't maltreat your pet. HOWEVER, the vet there is incompetent. I'm not sure if he knows what he is doing. I am a medical professional and he has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. I took our cat there for a cough and polyuria (increased urinary frequency). He took an x-ray that looked awful (more or less a white out). He could not pick that up on physical exam, which is something you should be able to do. He tried to breach the topic of cancer about our cat, but would never come right out and give an opinion about it. He would only trail off anytime it came close to speaking about cancer. Instead he diagnosed her with toxoplasmosis after getting lab work and a chest x-ray. He gave her 2 antibiotics. First he gave us the human equivalent of augmentin before the lab work came back because he didn't know what was going on. He then pushed us to get clindamycin for toxoplasmosis after the results came back. She did not have a white count or any signs of infection. We took our cat to another vet this morning and we were told she has a mass on her gallbladder and she passed away this morning. The staff is nice but the "vet" is incompetent. Suffice it to say I will not be returning here ever again. I would not recommend to family. Read Less

I came home from work and my dog was shaking and not his normal happy self.  I called EAH, and they said I could bring him in for a exam and take it from there.  In the initial quick evaluation, they said he was dehydrated and then they took him back for more tests.More test included them wanting me to pay for expressing his anal glands (which they did before they told me they were going to do it), two different types of antibiotics, and blood work.  I didn't feel that they had my dogs best interest, because the doctor was rude, cut me off several times, they were rushing me and he spent the majority of this time outlining what all of the test/treatments would cost.He barely completed an initial examination - listening to his breathing, his heart neither of which were done before the pricing sheet with additional tests was given to me.  Something about this place felt very disingenuous and money focused vs treatment of my dog.  I left there feeling like I was swindled. I had them do what I felt was absolutely necessary and declined the rest. If my dog doesn't feel any better in the morning I will take him to his normal vet that I trust. Bottom line, I will never go there again, and I highly recommend that anyone looking for a caring vet go somewhere, anywhere else! Read Less

go d forbid you have a problem and you call them the staff will not tell you who's on the phone speaking with you nor will they ever give you the doctors name. Really you're all smiles when you take Ourmoney but if there's a problem all of the sudden the customer is public enemy number one. Horrible horrible horrible every year the prices go up but the service goes down. If they make a mistake did you not admitted or take accountability for their actions. beware when you get your ears cropped if they're done wrong they will not assume responsibility way overpriced. We go there cuz we have no money but the health of the animals not their priority it's your pocket that's what the priority is. Years ago this place was awesome now they have new staff in the front which have absolutely no phone etiquette whatsoever. Friendly staff and very caring to my 2 pets, Diablo and Percy, and they are now healthy. Also, I liked the clinic cat Jade, and how you let her free in the room. I always like to go there for many reasons, they are always welcoming to my concerns regarding my pets health and pricing was affordable, high knowledge of pets developments through senior age cats. This is the best vet office that I have ever experienced. Dr. Dev is so caring and great with the animals. There is nothing they wouldn't do to take care of your babies!! I highly recommend them for the care of your pets. I will never go anywhere else. I have worked with dogs myself for 30 years and believe me been to many vets. This place is top notch! I send everyone I know to Eastpointe Animal Hospital particularly Dr. Dev. I hope you never leave the area you are the best!!! Thanks for all you do!

I mean really you can't give me the doctor's name when we can get it on the internet what do you have to hide. Very very shady. Read Less

After almost 3 months of treating my dog for a torn ACL and spending about $1200.00 we took out Dog to another vet who immdiately discovered a hip fracture that had already begun to heal in a way that couldn't be mended.  We had no choice but to put him down on the spot.  When I returned to this office to let them know what we found and that our dog was gone, they really didn't seem to care at all.  I thought they were an ok vet to go to for routine shots but after this I will NEVER go back.  Our poor dog suffered for a very long time. Hospital staff and service are superb, I been twice in 10 months and always got quilty care and service. Firts time, I called for an emergency appointment around 7:30 PM, hospital was about to close, staff and Doctor accepted my request and stayed extra half hour. Vet have little accent, but I don’t think this disqualifies him as a Veterinarian. My little Hana (german shepherd) loves going there and staff always remembers me. They are prompt professionals and a GOOD VALUE ALL AROUND. Read Less
