Terrible and disgusting people.
On December 11, 2017 at 7pm I took my dog Tyson here because he had a fever of 105.6 which is dangerously high. I called earlier explained to them what he looks like and told them I would be there in 10 minutes. I got there and because my dog was feeling so sick, he could not walk or stand on his own. So I had to carry my 70lb dog into the office. I walk in and begin to put my dog on the ground and as I am doing this, the rude receptionist asks "can I help you with something". I began to explain to her the situation and that I called earlier and she interrupted me as I was talking and said "if you want the doctor to do anything to him, you have to fill out this paperwork". I get done with the paperwork and she says "you can go to room 3" and points to her right. Doesn't walk me back there or show me which one is room 3.
So I'm sitting in the exam room with my dog and because he has cancer he has 3 tumors on his neck so I keep his collar and leash in my pocket so it is not painful for him to wear all day long. The doctor walks in and sees Tyson, then begins to back up and close the door a bit and the very first thing he says to me is "why isn't your dog on a leash". Didn't say hi, ask how I'm doing, or my dog. So it's very shocking that someone can be a caring animal vet and be afraid of a dog who is lying on the floor, visibly sick and cannot even move to do anything to him.
I tell him he cannot move and he has tumors so I keep the leash off. Then he tells me "if you want me to exam him, you have to hold him down or something". As if he really needed to be restrained. So he takes ten seconds to hear his heart and starts to tell me he will prescribe me 6 different medications for his cancer. I tell him Tyson is seeing a holistic vet right now for that but I am concern with his dangerously high fever of 105.6 right now. He has already had cancer for almost 6 months. So he tells me "You cannot pick and choose which illness you want to treat. That is my job and I'm telling you he need medication for his cancer not his fever. His fever isn't important right now because his cancer caused the fever". So I told him again, "I brought him here so you can reduce his fever, that's it. If his temperature keeps rising, that's going to be worst than his cancer".
Then he says something and I couldn't understand him several times because he doesn't even speak fluent English, and he got mad at me that he cannot speak English correctly and I couldn't understand him. So then he tells me, "I cannot help you if you don't want to give your dog 'real' medicine. We need to address his cancer not his fever". At this point I told him I would just leave and find another vet who will put him on fluids and other things to actually help reduce his fever right away because I can't wait around for his temperature to get any higher. So he says "ok" turns around, walks out of the door, and doesn't say another word. When I left, the extremely rude receptionist also didn't say a word to me either.
If you care about your animal, please do not take him to this vet since the staff is extremely rude, unsympathetic, pushy, and the doctor himself is afraid of animals and didn't care that my dog was dying! What a joke. Read Less
