Was great with my husband's service dog. They are now are new vet. Our old vet wanted to amputate her toe. I wanted a second opinion it turned out she had some sort of fungus that was able to be treated. Old vet did not ask why we wanted to cancel surgery or if I'd like to reschedule. Had a large fatty tumor removed from her hock after it grew back following her last surgery from a different veterinarian hospital. The results were outstanding from the work they did at Eastwood. Highly recommended! Read Less

Love the vet love the people working for the vet they are so nice my cats get great care from the vet my one cat gets utis lots and they figured out why she keeps getting them she has had from when she was born so glade we know why she gets them and can fix her thanks What a great vet. Our other cat needs 2 teeth out no other vet would find that. They always make sure the pets are safe and camable while they work in them and do there check up they make sure they are heathy too. Followed Drs advice. Followed that up by calling back as they requested. They respond by putting me on hold.....then promising they would call back after i had been on hold for approximately 15 minutes....then couldnt be bothered to return my phone call (despite the urgency of the situation). A few minutes prior to theoir closing, I called back and was condescendingly told "Well, its been a really busy Monday." No concern for my dog, no apology....nothing..... I loved east wood other than the fact that my dog has been going there the last 3 years and they don't seem to have his records. When he was a puppy they did a sugery on his noes to remove a hook. He also has a heart arrhythmia I just recently decided to look around for a price difference and just a different atmosphere for him because he does not like going to them at all! Applegrove wanted his past medical history if I could get it.They claim they can't find any thing on his file. They have him in computer but nothing in his file. They were able to preform an emergency spade on our dog and we had never been there nor a patient of theirs. They literally saved her life and we are forever grateful. Will be returning there from now on even though we live 50 minutes from the clinic. I trust them and feel they genuinely care about animals and even our dog whom they had never met. Read Less

Took my dog here for years when I lived in Eaton Rapids then we moved out towards Marshall and started taking our animals to a vet that was closer. That didn't last long, we are now back to this vet! The drive is worth it! Friendly staff and very reasonable prices! Read Less

Have taken my dog here since he was a puppy. He is now over 9 years old and now that there are new owners and new doctors, prices have skyrocketed. What used to be a $35 groom (w/sedation charges) turned into an unaffordable $65. Groom wasn't even good. A patch of fur under his ear was cut too much, almost down to the skin and was tried to be covered up by his ear. Then there was still a bit of fur hanging. For $65 he should have looked like a show dog. That's outrageous. Read Less

We've been bringing our Husky/Wolf dog to Eastwood Vet since he was 6 weeks old. He turned 10 yrs in April. Dr Holmberg has been super with our dog in his various treatments from allergies to several surgeries. I can't speak for the boarding services they offer but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eastwood Vet to anyone with a pet that needs any kind of medical attention as their care from my experience has been nothing short of wonderful. I want to recommend Eastwood Veterinary Hospital and especially Dr. Holmberg. He was my Veterinarian for 10 years. During that time he saw all of my pets; dogs and cats alike. My husband and I use to breed Bloodhounds and Dr. Holmberg checked her though out her pregnancies. Even coming to our house to check mom and the puppies after she gave birth to make sure they were all right. He was always there for us and gave us not just good service but wonderful service. I brought my dog (who is my absolute baby) upon someones referral to eastwood veterinary hospital. My dog tore his acl and this person had this surgery done on her dog here. I was asked to follow the person at the front desk back, so I figured we were going into a room like a normal vet clinic for an assessment (my dog is 11 and has a heart murmur). We passed a lady shaving a dog in a dirty room and then into a dungeon of a kennel. She then searched around for an empty one opened the door, moved some soiled towels and said "you can put him in here"...Um,no. I will wait with him til the vets ready. That was fine, we turned around to head back out and as I looked forward I saw the most horrific thing I have ever seen. A door was wide open, a dog strapped down, belly up, with his arms taped up in the air looked back over his shoulder at me, my dog and my husband...the vet, scalpel in hand was doing surgery on this dogs front side...door wide open...I ran right out the door with my dog in my arms. I WOULD NEVER, EVER USE THIS PLACE TO CARE FOR ANY OF MY ANIMALS. NEVER EVER. Read Less
