We we're referred by our son who brought his lab to be spayed. Their price was $50.00 less than our vet, who is , by the way immediate family and offers us a 50% off discount price. He received not only a better price, and quality service!! We are to go out of town and board our two dogs, during our trip.We stopped in Animal Care in Farmington Hills, and within 2 hours they provided the shots and tests for both of our dogs, so that they could be accepted for boarding. The did this on very short notice, at a very reasonable price, even providing a nice discount. As they were recommended to us, we would highly recommend them to anyone who reads this review. They are extremely cognizant of pets' needs. Try have a separate entrance for cats and the feline exam room has lots of toys to play with, things to climb on/hide in and pheromone dispensers and towels to help calm cats. Awesome vet! the office and staff are great. Everyone is always friendly and honest. I love that they offer plans for the dogs. When we had just got our puppy it was great because we paid monthly and so much was covered! If we lived closer to them we would keep going because of how caring everyone is. Unfortunately we didn't renew with them because it can be kind of a pain to drive to for us. If you are looking for a vet and this is near you then definitely hands down go! The entire staff was wonderful. First, I didn't have to wait around for an two hours like I did at my old vet. Right on time-- what a relief! They understood the situation with my shy/fearful dog and did everything to accommodate us, from making sure the lobby was clear to having a room we could go into immediately. Dr. Rozenbaum was fantastic; my dog is rarely receptive to strangers but he was to Dr. Rozenbaum and all the staff. I was also not pushed into doing anything unnecessary-- that's much appreciated! I came here for the first time for my kitten Truffle's upper respiratory infection. Everyone at the clinic was very friendly, the lady at the front desk, the nurses and Dr. Rozenbaum were all excellent! My kitten is a feisty one but they were great with him. I could tell everyone who works there loves animals, there are treats and toys all over the place. Dr. Rozenbaum played with Truffle and complimented him as if he were his own. The doctor and the nurses were thorough in their examination to make sure they gave little Truffle the best treatment, they put him on antibiotics and gave him his first dose onsite as an injection that made him feel better right away! We discussed all kinds of things with the doctor and he made sure to always ask if we had questions and always share his knowledge with us on every topic we asked about. Awesome clinic! Top-notch service from the moment I called until the moment I walked out the door. John, the clinic manager, scheduled my appointment and his phone demeanor was very pleasant. When I arrived, I was greeted by Ashley (I'm assuming she was a veterinary technician) who did the initial exam of my cat. They even have a special "cats only" exam room! Dr. Rozenbaum was equally as personable, knowledgeable, and very warm and caring. The building itself is small, but it's clean, neat, and reflects a professional atmosphere. We just moved here from CA and we travelled here with my dog Piper already having an ear infection. So the first thing we did coming off the plane was make an appointment at AVMC. They were so nice and sweet to my dog, who was already feeling quite stressed with the travel changes that she was so relaxed throughout the entire appointment. Something she did not get from my vet back home! She was laying down relaxed on the table during her ear cleaning and shot it was quite unbelievable. Dr. Rozenbaum was terribly nice and didn't keep me waiting too long. If you are a pet owner just know that you will be spending a pretty penny no matter where you go, but the treatments are necessary to ensure your pets health. Also, they even did a demo on how to properly clean her ears with the solution they gave me. I would highly recommend to anyone! Read Less

I've been taking my cat Crystal here for a long time. I've had her for over 14 years. Dr. Rozenbaum was very kind when she started getting sick, diagnosing her with hyperthyroidism and was very open about the options we have. We started her on some medicine but she started going downhilll with other health issues. Yesterday, I had to make the sad choice to send her over the rainbow bridge. The staff was all very kind and gave me as much time as I needed with her. They let me give her lots of cuddles and take my time for whenever I was ready. The technician even cried when I was so upset and they didn't mention anything about my loud crying. They let me stroke her as she crossed over the rainbow bridge. She went very painlessly and quietly. Despite it being a very difficult time for me, they encouraged me that it was for the best. They gave me a lot of time with her, didn't rush me and were very nice and caring about the whole situation. These are definitely the vets to see as they are so kind and helpful with all health problems with animals. We also take our dog there, and even though he hates the vet and bites, they are careful and do their best to do everything they need to do while keeping everyone safe, especially Scruffy. It is nice to know he does excellent well visits and even better to know if your cat or dog gets injured or has a complicated health problem, he is the vet with the knowledge and experience. I had been looking for a new vet to take our 2 Shiba Inu's, one of them being a new addition to our family. When I called Advanced Veterinary to ask a few questions and set an appointment, I was very pleased. I had the pleasure of speaking with Ashley. She had made us an appointment on very short notice, and knew all the answers to all of my questions. When we arrived at the vet, we were greeted in a very professional manner. When we were taken in to the room by Kristin, one of the vet techs, she was 100% focused on Kuma (our shiba puppy). When Dr. Rozenbaum came in to the room, which was extremely quick, he was very informative and tentative with me, my wife, and Kuma. The main reason we wanted to switch vets was, the one we were going to seemed to care more about making money then caring about our pets. That is definitely not the case here at Advanced Veterinary. Dr. Rozenbaum is great! I have had dogs for the past 20 years and have seen many vets in that time frame. You can tell the difference between the vets that love animals and the ones that just go through the motions and are more interested in how much money they can make from you. Dr. R truly loves animals and it shows with the excellent care, kindness and compassion he has always shown to my dogs. We split time between Michigan and California and we now time all of our vet visits to occur here with Dr. Rozenbaum. He has treated two different dogs and two cats for us and he and his entire staff are incredibly caring and professional. We had an elderly dog that they treated with laser treatments and made her much more comfortable for her last few years. I have a very small non friendly Chihuahua & the staff here is very good with her.  They are pricey but it seems all vets are so I will be having all vaccines done at vaccine clinics or through low cost centers going forward since I was alerted to a  service that will do all of her shots for the same price as 1 at the vet.The first time I brought my dog here I only brought her because the first exam is free & I was unemployed at the time & my dog had a major rash.  They were able to get me right in, they did a full exam for free & then they had to do some skin testing & give me some special shampoo, an antibiotic & an allergy pill & it wasn't cheap but it wasn't as expensive as I was expecting.  I'm glad I chose to bring her here because they are very thorough with their exams & care but they will try to upsell you on a teeth cleaning every time you come in which is VERY pricey.The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because the last time I brought my dog in for a checkup & some shots she was due for they took her in back for the shots & held her so tight her entire chest was black & blue for days.  I know she's a handful but I was pretty disturbed by the marks since the people who cut her nails have never left her marked up like that & she fights like Tyson when it comes to her nails!  We will continue to come here & yes I will even be bringing the dog in eventually to get her teeth cleaned...I just need to save up the money & then start brushing them so I don't have to do it again! I had been seeing the same Vet for almost 5 years. He was quite a drive for me but I really liked him so I kept going. When my 7 year old Chihuahua had an emergency eye injury I needed to go somewhere nearby. I called first thing in the morning and they told me they were totally booked but come in and they will try to fit us in. I literally waited for MAYBE 10 minutes and his staff was so friendly and took me right into a room and got started on the exam. Dr. Rozenbaum was great he did not make me feel rushed or that I had messed up his schedule by coming in without an appointment. He took his time with me and my dog and answered all of my questions I had. He even looked at my dog's foot that he cut open on the way in because it was so eager to get in there... ;)After the way I was treated and what great care Dr. Rozenbaum took with my pup I will be a forever patient of his!I highly recommend ANYONE to go in and see the special care you receive by not only the doctor but his loving staff as well!!
