I’ve recently started taking my dog Mylo to Jeffery Animal Hospital after my previous vet had a dislike for pit bulls. They are very welcoming, kind and have an amazing staff plus there open late which comes in handy! Even when they were booked and had no more appt available out of there kindness of their heart fit my dog in right as they were closing which I am very thankful for! My family and I have gone here for nearly 20 years. I have always been impressed with the care and treatment that has been given to both of my dogs. My two dogs and my cat receive the BEST care at Jeffrey Animal Hospital. All of the office staff and technicians are very friendly and I never have to wait long to get an appointment. I rarely have to wait very long in one of the exam rooms to see the vet. If there is a wait, it is because they went out of their way to squeeze us in last minute and they will let me know in advance, which is super helpful. Read Less

I really like this place,everyone who works here is very nice and they always can see me quickly for an appointment. My dog loves all the staff and I'm the type of person who always asks a lot of questions about my animals conditions and the veterinarian is polite and informative. I've actually moved out of the Farmington area but still continue to come here because I'm happy with it. We just switched to this vet recently and have been very satisfied. They are very efficient and friendly while visiting their office not to mention accommodating. From someone who has been a dog owner for nearly ten years, it is refreshing to find a vet that is not overly pushy on a specific treatment and will take the time to meet your needs. So far so great! This is the second time that one of my dogs has been misdiagnosed at Jeffery Animal Hospital. My older dog had been under the weather so I took her in to be looked at and I was told she was fine. I wasn't convinced and wanted a second opinion so I took her to Madison Veterinary Hospital and my dog was diagnosed with Giardia. I immediately switched to Madison as my primary veterinarian. A year later I got an 11 week old puppy and wasn't able to get him in to my primary vet. I decided to give Jeffrey another chance and scheduled an appointment. I saw Dr. Demetriou and she said he was "fine and a healthy puppy". About 3 days later I was able to get my puppy in with his primary vet where I was told they found ear mites along with him having a fever and slight cold. This is just unacceptable to me. If you care for your pets take them to a qualified veterinarian. I strongly recommend Dr. Levy at Madison Veterinary Hospital. Read Less

Took my dog to Jeffrey since a puppy. Care was substandard and expensive. After my dog died suddenly with a mass encompassing 3/4's of his abdomen, vet tells me 'these things happen, and the mass can get much larger overnight'. My dog received regular wellness checks. It was mentioned to them his distended tummy. They did lab work, but must not have given attention to my dog physically. Vet says 'Sorry, but remember the good times.' This place is NOT where you want to take your pet. The owner and his wife (handles financing) portray lack of caring but like the money they get paid. I regret ever taking my dog to this vet office. When I moved from A2 to Novi, I needed a new vet.  So I asked my old vet's office for a recommendation.  This was the place they sent me to, and I'm glad I took their recommendation, instead of going with a vet based on location, etc.The office staff is friendly, although sometimes a bit lacking in alacrity.  The vet techs are very nice and always compliment me on how well-behaved my cat is.  (It's a front, he's a menace but I think he just gives up his fighting spirit at the vet).  The veterinarians always explain everything to me and give me options on how to treat my kitty's usually minor ailments.  One of the vets skews a little doom and gloom about aging cats, but for the most part she agrees my pet is very healthy for a 9-year-old cat.  Friendly reminders are sent out when visits are due.  They also have an online pet-portal where you can request to schedule a visit.  I've only had one little problem using that, and the problem was solved with a phone call to the office.  Overall, a nice office with reasonable prices. Horrible! Not sympathetic at all. Treated me and my ill puppy with total disregard. The doctor was rude and inattentive. I wrote a letter explaining my visit and my dissatisfaction after my puppy died from their lack of care and it did nothing. And they didn't care that I told them I  would not return. Right after my pup was spayed (by a different doctor), I began to think her stitches became infected.  I called Jeffrey Animal Hospital and they were able to fit me in right away!  I was impressed with how quickly they were to accommodate me and easy away my worries!  They also came highly recommended by my neighbor Kurt, who owns Dog Gone Acres.   I found their pricing to be fair, I've been to vets more and less expensive than them.  I have gone to them a few other times but they are definitely not my primary vet (I have a great Vet who comes to the house and is very loving!).  Whenever I would go to Jeffrey, I would not be sure of which Vet I would see.  The good thing is they do a clinic every Wednesday afternoon at Canine Campus...just call ahead to see if they are doing it and to make sure they are still there.  This comes handy when the pup needs a Bordatella booster for boarding and/or school.  They sometimes leave early if they don't have enough patients.  One other thing that I wasn't always happy about was their main receptionist who isn't always nice or pleasant to deal with.  She was a reason why I began to look for other vets in the first place.
