This center is top notch in my opinion. Dr. Cody Doyle has performed surgery on two of my senior pets. They both did very well. Dr. Doyle was very compassionate and understanding. He was available at all times for questions and concerns following the surgeries. He was even available after hours and weekends. My pets were well cared for and I will be forever grateful. These encounters are pricey but our furry friends are well worth it. Thank you Dr. Doyle and staff! You’re amazing.

This was the most disorganized, unfriendly vet I have ever been to. The staff, including the vet, had no idea what was going on. The service got worse after i (shockingly) declined the very expensive services they offered. I would never take another animal i care about to this clinic. I was horrified when i left. Please do not take your pets here. I know i never will.

This surgical center is absolutely amazing. We live an hour from there and it was everything we were told it was and better. The staff and the veterinarian, Dr. Doyle, are the best, so knowledgeable and caring. We were counseled about everything that would take place for our sweet Lucy and her injured leg. Our discharge nurse, Patty, was so nice and patient with us. Thank you to all the staff at Animal Surgical Center for the great care for our sweet Lucy. You will always get our referral and business!!

What a fantastic experience. Dr. Doyle, Sarah, and Patty were all amazing. They took great care of my 17-year-old poodle and restored his patella. They spent nearly two hours with us pre-op to explain everything and listen to our concerns. Even after the surgery, we have received numerous phone calls checking in on him and making sure his recovery is going according to plan. Well worth the cost to have such great surgeons, top-of-the-line equipment, and caring and compassionate people working on your pet.

Look, animal surgery is not cheap and finding a knowledgeable surgeon is hard. Animal Surgical has highly trained vets and staff and (comparatively) reasonable rates. Pets come first here, entire staff cares about your pet and understands they are family. Don't hesitate, go here. The rumors are correct, they are worth driving a long distance to see I would not hesitate to take my dog here again. My dog was taken care of like a queen, much better than humans are treated at a hospital.

Brought my 13 yr old fur-baby in for consultation then surgery. Dr. Dan was recommended by Cody's vet. Dr. Dan and his staff was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive.They kept me updated throughout his stay in the hospital and called to check on him once he was discharged. I am very pleased with Cody's care, it was worth the hour drive. Cody is recovering remarkably well!

We were referred to the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan when our 13 year old Australian Shepherd mix tore a ligament in her knee. Even with her being an older dog, Dr. DeCamp recommended the TPLO surgery and did an amazing job. The staff was very helpful and informative in explaining the recovery process. They care so much about the well-being of their patients that the two post-surgery follow up appointments were free of charge. I can't recommend this facility enough.

We were referred to Dr. Dan and his team by our vet who also used them for own her personal pet. We have seen a few vets over our years many times. Our animals are older and require a lot of care now. We have seen folks from TX to MI and have found The Animal Surgical Center a whole new experience. The staff is WONDERFUL. The vets, techs, staff all truly care for our pet. The followup and level of care really is a standard above what I have experienced at other facilities. We feel like our girl has a new lease on life with her current diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Dan, Patty, and the overnight ICU team that kept vigil over our Sassypants.

Dr. Dan was the only one who could figure out what was wrong with my dog's leg. (It wasn't a typical injury.) He did the ultrasound right in the exam room and showed me the problem. He's a great surgeon. Dr. Cody was also very accommodating and kept me up to date on my dog during his surgery and recovery. I hope my pets never need complicated or unusual surgery, but if they do, I would not hesitate to take them to this practice. I live about an hour from their location, but it is worth the drive. Also, I have been a vet tech for some time and I was truly impressed with the Doctors and how well they communicated with me.

Animal Surgical Center of Michigan is one of the best places to take your dog for specialized care. The doctors here are amazing, especially Dr. Daniel Degner, Dr. Decamp and his entire staff. Never feeling rushed, they take time to explain difficult procedures and give you options with clarity to help you make informed decisions. I feel 100% certain my dogs are in the best possible hands for injuries or illnesses. Their state of the art facility has the latest in technology to ensure the correct diagnosis. I like that Dr. Dan offered me alternatives to surgical procedures and not necessarily always rushing to surgery if there is a more conservative approach on the table. Thank you for taking such great care of my dogs !!

They are dishonest. They said my dog could be free of his cancerous tumor in his elbow if you amputate his leg for $2000. They called during surgery to let us know that there was cancer in his shoulder. They should have been more thorough with their examination if they are a good surgery center and veterinarians before putting a pet through that kind of a surgery for him to pass away 28 day post surgery. It's animal cruelty for them to make money.

Dr. Dan and his team are simply fabulous. My dog needed a TPLO procedure. Both a local vet and a friend recommended that I take her here even though we live an hour away.
I couldn't be happier from start to finish. Dr. Dan took the time to explain what is being done to my dog and the recovery care. Admittedly I was overly worried. They were very patient and kind. My dog started bearing weight on her leg 2-3 days later. The recovery just went so much faster than expected. Now, she is back running and being her silly self.
During the recovery, my rambunctious dog destroyed her cone and licked her suture open. It was 8.30 pm. I didn't know what to do, so I called the surgical center. There was an option to speak directly to the vet. Dr. Dan picked up, asked me to send him pictures, and made a recommendation right then.
They really go above and beyond to care for your dog and you. Thank you so much! I highly recommend them.

Would like to thank Dr Dan Degner and the entire staff they were fantastic. We brought Jake a 6 year old Cooker Spaniel in last summer, he could hardly walk or lift his rear end up. Dr. Degner did surgery on both his rear legs one at a time 2 months apart. We choose the the best option. The results were fantastic right from the time we picked him up. He is now running and jumping better than ever.

I was very pleased with my first visit to ASC. My 8 year old black lab was handled with loving, caring and compassionate people. They got right down on the floor to exam her. Spent a lot of time with us. They actually could fit her into the schedule to do an ultrasound and CT scan so we didn't have to come back to have these performed. The CT scan showed what X-rays couldn't. Zoey needs surgery on her fractured elbow. When I can handle the bill, she'll be going back for her surgery. Great place, glad I was referred to them.

I recently inheritated my grandpa's pomeranian Foxy after his passing, so you can understand the immense attachment I have to her. On new years eve she broke her leg at the sitters, my fiance and I rushed home! She was put in a splint at the ER until we could get her to her normal doctor Monday, long story short our vet said she would need surgery and a metal plate to repair her leg. From the first phone call to the animal surgical center I could tell the entire staff truly cares for their patients, foxy was able to actually get in for the surgery Monday afternoon and came home today. The post op nurse was amazing at calming us and explaining everything, any questions we had the whole staff made us feel like we had their undivided attention and at 930pm I received a call from the actual doctor to check on how the afternoon at home went! Amazing! We know that foxy's road to recovery will be successful with the positive atmosphere of the surgical center and we are so greatful for their true compassion for their 4 legged patient's!

Fancy (male cat) had urinary blockage and needed what they call "male to female" surgery. ASC took very good care of him. They sent him home with plenty of pain meds in individual syringes so we didn't even have to measure it. They saved his life and now he is back to his happy self. I am so glad we took him there for the procedure. I recommend this place highly. Thank you!!

The staff here is wonderful. They treat you like family. We had to bring our dog Hank in after he dislocated his elbow. They got us in the office immediately. Everything was explained clearly, Dr. DeCamp gave us plenty of time for questions. Dr. DeCamp called me first thing the morning after to answer questions that I had come up with overnight and Dr. Doyle who also helped with Hank also called to check on him as did the technician later the same day. The front office staff is also very helpful, understanding and extremely friendly.

Today was a devastating day for us. We traveled from the U.P. for a follow-up visit with Dr DeCamp - we expected it would be routine as each had been. During the examine, he detected swollen lymph nodes. Dr. Walswap confirmed our worse fears - lymphoma. So that we could plan a course of treatment to hopefully extend our time with our dog, the staff arranged for us to meet with a cardiologist. Once again - bad news, she is not a candidate for one of the drugs. Back to ASC, We had one 8 am appointment. Though out the day, we met with Dr. DeCamp, Dr. Walswap, consulted with my regular vet back home, Dr DeSana in Novi; Dr. Walswap set up a protocol for treatment and she received her first chemo. Everyone rearranged their schedule to treat my dog and for that I am exceptionally greatful

I honestly can't even say enough nice things about this office and Dr. Degner. My Bernese Mtn. Dog, Oliver, needed surgery on his elbows for a genetic condition. Oliver doesn't love everyone, he's very shy. Dr. Degner walked in and said hi and Oliver was in his lap like they were besties. The staff is so friendly, supportive and knowledgable. Dr. Degner explains everything in great detail and makes sure to answer any and all questions. The vets have multiple years of experience, but they are very up to date on current process. Oliver had an arthroscopic procedure done. He went home almost pain free. I would recommend this specialist to absolutely anyone and everyone. They said they even get clients from far out of state. I can see why!

I had wonderful service from Flint location. Starting with the front desk team - David, Karen, and Karrie were always friendly, helpful, and professional. I cannot say enough positive comments about Dr. Doyle. After having a major surgery for my lab, he called and checked in every day on her condition. He was compassionate, professional, and dedicated. He was honest about everything and answered every question I had without judgement. They always let you know ahead of time what the cost would be for each service. No surprises. The nurse Patti was very descriptive with the home care expectations, and caring as well. I'm very happy my local vet recommended them.

This center is top notch in my opinion. Dr. Cody Doyle has performed surgery on two of my senior pets. They both did very well. Dr. Doyle was very compassionate and understanding. He was available at all times for questions and concerns following the surgeries. He was even available after hours and weekends. My pets were well cared for and I will be forever grateful. These encounters are pricey but our furry friends are well worth it. Thank you Dr. Doyle and staff! You’re amazing.

This was the most disorganized, unfriendly vet I have ever been to. The staff, including the vet, had no idea what was going on. The service got worse after i (shockingly) declined the very expensive services they offered. I would never take another animal i care about to this clinic. I was horrified when i left. Please do not take your pets here. I know i never will.

This surgical center is absolutely amazing. We live an hour from there and it was everything we were told it was and better. The staff and the veterinarian, Dr. Doyle, are the best, so knowledgeable and caring. We were counseled about everything that would take place for our sweet Lucy and her injured leg. Our discharge nurse, Patty, was so nice and patient with us. Thank you to all the staff at Animal Surgical Center for the great care for our sweet Lucy. What a fantastic experience. Dr. Doyle, Sarah, and Patty were all amazing. They took great care of my 17-year-old poodle and restored his patella. They spent nearly two hours with us pre-op to explain everything and listen to our concerns. Even after the surgery, we have received numerous phone calls checking in on him and making sure his recovery is going according to plan. Well worth the cost to have such great surgeons, top-of-the-line equipment, and caring and compassionate people working on your pet.

Pets come first here, entire staff cares about your pet and understands they are family. Don't hesitate, go here. The rumors are correct, they are worth driving a long distance to see I would not hesitate to take my dog here again. My dog was taken care of like a queen, much better than humans are treated at a hospital.

Dr. Dan and his staff was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive.They kept me updated throughout his stay in the hospital and called to check on him once he was discharged. I am very pleased with Cody's care, it was worth the hour drive. Cody is recovering remarkably well!

We were referred to the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan when our 13 year old Australian Shepherd mix tore a ligament in her knee. Even with her being an older dog, Dr. DeCamp recommended the TPLO surgery and did an amazing job. The staff was very helpful and informative in explaining the recovery process. They care so much about the well-being of their patients that the two post-surgery follow up appointments were free of charge. I can't recommend this facility enough.

We were referred to Dr. Dan and his team by our vet who also used them for own her personal pet. We have seen a few vets over our years many times. Our animals are older and require a lot of care now. We have seen folks from TX to MI and have found The Animal Surgical Center a whole new experience. The staff is WONDERFUL. The vets, techs, staff all truly care for our pet. The followup and level of care really is a standard above what I have experienced at other facilities. We feel like our girl has a new lease on life with her current diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Dan, Patty, and the overnight ICU team that kept vigil over our Sassypants.

Dr. Dan was the only one who could figure out what was wrong with my dog's leg. (It wasn't a typical injury.) He did the ultrasound right in the exam room and showed me the problem. He's a great surgeon. Dr. Cody was also very accommodating and kept me up to date on my dog during his surgery and recovery. I hope my pets never need complicated or unusual surgery, but if they do, I would not hesitate to take them to this practice. I live about an hour from their location, but it is worth the drive. Also, I have been a vet tech for some time and I was truly impressed with the Doctors and how well they communicated with me.

Animal Surgical Center of Michigan is one of the best places to take your dog for specialized care. The doctors here are amazing, especially Dr. Daniel Degner, Dr. Decamp and his entire staff. Never feeling rushed, they take time to explain difficult procedures and give you options with clarity to help you make informed decisions. I feel 100% certain my dogs are in the best possible hands for injuries or illnesses. Their state of the art facility has the latest in technology to ensure the correct diagnosis. I like that Dr. Dan offered me alternatives to surgical procedures and not necessarily always rushing to surgery if there is a more conservative approach on the table. Thank you for taking such great care of my dogs !!

They called during surgery to let us know that there was cancer in his shoulder. They should have been more thorough with their examination if they are a good surgery center and veterinarians before putting a pet through that kind of a surgery for him to pass away 28 day post surgery. It's animal cruelty for them to make money.

Dr. Dan and his team are simply fabulous. My dog needed a TPLO procedure. Both a local vet and a friend recommended that I take her here even though we live an hour away.
I couldn't be happier from start to finish. Dr. Dan took the time to explain what is being done to my dog and the recovery care. Admittedly I was overly worried. They were very patient and kind. My dog started bearing weight on her leg 2-3 days later. The recovery just went so much faster than expected. Now, she is back running and being her silly self.
During the recovery, my rambunctious dog destroyed her cone and licked her suture open. It was 8.30 pm. I didn't know what to do, so I called the surgical center. There was an option to speak directly to the vet. Dr. Dan picked up, asked me to send him pictures, and made a recommendation right then.
They really go above and beyond to care for your dog and you. Thank you so much! I highly recommend them.

Would like to thank Dr Dan Degner and the entire staff they were fantastic. We brought Jake a 6 year old Cooker Spaniel in last summer, he could hardly walk or lift his rear end up. Dr. Degner did surgery on both his rear legs one at a time 2 months apart. We choose the the best option. The results were fantastic right from the time we picked him up. He is now running and jumping better than ever.

I was very pleased with my first visit to ASC. My 8 year old black lab was handled with loving, caring and compassionate people. They got right down on the floor to exam her. Spent a lot of time with us. They actually could fit her into the schedule to do an ultrasound and CT scan so we didn't have to come back to have these performed. The CT scan showed what X-rays couldn't. Zoey needs surgery on her fractured elbow. When I can handle the bill, she'll be going back for her surgery. Great place, glad I was referred to them.

I recently inheritated my grandpa's pomeranian Foxy after his passing, so you can understand the immense attachment I have to her. On new years eve she broke her leg at the sitters, my fiance and I rushed home! She was put in a splint at the ER until we could get her to her normal doctor Monday, long story short our vet said she would need surgery and a metal plate to repair her leg. From the first phone call to the animal surgical center I could tell the entire staff truly cares for their patients, foxy was able to actually get in for the surgery Monday afternoon and came home today. The post op nurse was amazing at calming us and explaining everything, any questions we had the whole staff made us feel like we had their undivided attention and at 930pm I received a call from the actual doctor to check on how the afternoon at home went! Amazing! We know that foxy's road to recovery will be successful with the positive atmosphere of the surgical center and we are so greatful for their true compassion for their 4 legged patient's!

Fancy (male cat) had urinary blockage and needed what they call "male to female" surgery. ASC took very good care of him. They sent him home with plenty of pain meds in individual syringes so we didn't even have to measure it. They saved his life and now he is back to his happy self. I am so glad we took him there for the procedure. I recommend this place highly. Thank you!!

The staff here is wonderful. They treat you like family. We had to bring our dog Hank in after he dislocated his elbow. They got us in the office immediately. Everything was explained clearly, Dr. DeCamp gave us plenty of time for questions. Dr. DeCamp called me first thing the morning after to answer questions that I had come up with overnight and Dr. Doyle who also helped with Hank also called to check on him as did the technician later the same day. The front office staff is also very helpful, understanding and extremely friendly.

Today was a devastating day for us. We traveled from the U.P. for a follow-up visit with Dr DeCamp - we expected it would be routine as each had been. During the examine, he detected swollen lymph nodes. Dr. Walswap confirmed our worse fears - lymphoma. So that we could plan a course of treatment to hopefully extend our time with our dog, the staff arranged for us to meet with a cardiologist. Once again - bad news, she is not a candidate for one of the drugs. Back to ASC, We had one 8 am appointment. Though out the day, we met with Dr. DeCamp, Dr. Walswap, consulted with my regular vet back home, Dr DeSana in Novi; Dr. Walswap set up a protocol for treatment and she received her first chemo. Everyone rearranged their schedule to treat my dog and for that I am exceptionally greatful

I honestly can't even say enough nice things about this office and Dr. Degner. My Bernese Mtn. Dog, Oliver, needed surgery on his elbows for a genetic condition. Oliver doesn't love everyone, he's very shy. Dr. Degner walked in and said hi and Oliver was in his lap like they were besties. The staff is so friendly, supportive and knowledgable. Dr. Degner explains everything in great detail and makes sure to answer any and all questions. The vets have multiple years of experience, but they are very up to date on current process. Oliver had an arthroscopic procedure done. He went home almost pain free. I would recommend this specialist to absolutely anyone and everyone. They said they even get clients from far out of state. I can see why!

I had wonderful service from Flint location. Starting with the front desk team - David, Karen, and Karrie were always friendly, helpful, and professional. I cannot say enough positive comments about Dr. Doyle. After having a major surgery for my lab, he called and checked in every day on her condition. He was compassionate, professional, and dedicated. He was honest about everything and answered every question I had without judgement. They always let you know ahead of time what the cost would be for each service. No surprises. The nurse Patti was very descriptive with the home care expectations, and caring as well. I'm very happy my local vet recommended them.
