The staff were very friendly and helpful, Dr. Butts was very passionate with our Abby (cat), my wife took her to the appointment we were not expecting to not bring her home it was a very sad day for our loss. I have been coming to the Fowlervile Vet Clinic ever since they saved my cat's life about 15 years ago.  Just took my two little dogs to see Dr. Scott Butts at the Fowlerville Vet and had such a good experience that I wanted to share it.  I was worried about my Shih Tzu's eyes and Dr. Scott was very thorough in diagnosing her.  He answered all my questions and I came out of the visit more knowledgable about my little pups.  I was very impressed because he truly cares about his patients.  I drive about 20 miles for my appointments and I do not mind because I trust them with my animals lives. Dr Dean came out yesterday when our senior pony colicked. Dr Dean was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, comforting and compassionate through the entire experience. He was unrushed and stayed with us and our poor guy for over two hours. Sadly, the outcome wasn't good and Shadow didn't pull through, but our experience with Dr Dean was extremely appreciated. Fowlerville Vet is fantastic! Today, they spayed & microchiped our sweet Daisy, 10 mos golden retriever. They took such good care of her, even trimmed her nails. We've been going here for several years, they cared for our last golden Ruby, who we lost late last year to lymphoma. Dr Butts was kind, compassionate, but straighforward about her prognosis, and did everything he could to prolong our time with her, while keeping her comfortable. My English Mastiff needed emergency surgery for bladder stones of which one was blocking his urethra. Not only did the get him right in, but their compassion and care before, during and after has been amazing. I will continue to drive 45 minutes one way just to always get my animals the best care there is. Thank you all for being so wonderful. Brought my kitten to be spayed and when I dropped her off she WAS flee free! When I went to pick her up the very disrespectful surgeon asked what I was doing about the flee problem. They had the nerve the charge me $20 for flee meds and $150 for a spay! My cat has never scratched more in the last 12 hours then she has in her entire life! We switched to Fowlerville Veterinary Clinic a few years ago after our favorite vet at the old practice moved out of state.  Just to tell you a bit about us, we have two wonderful dogs that are a part of our family and we wanted to have the best vet care possible for them.  We don't mess around when it comes to our dogs.We have been very happy with the level and quality of care provided by the vets here.  They are kind, caring and knowledgeable.   They will give you several options and call to follow up on how the dogs are doing if there had been an illness.The receptionists are super friendly and the vet techs are awesome. I've lived in Chicago for 25 years and thought I've seen some amazing Veterinarians, but it wasn't until the day I met Dr. Daniel Paternoster D.V.D. did I rethink the others before.  I have always referred to Veterinarians as doctors, because they are, and more passionate and likable than human doctors usually.  I brought my Layla (Presa Canario) in on short notice with a lump on her bottom side, and I was fearing for the worse being she's almost 9 years old and a big dog at 132 lbs.  Her feet were swollen and I was a wreck thinking the infection had set in to her body, and not knowing how serious.  Dr. Paternoster was going to attend to Layla's needs and when he entered the room there was a feeling that came over me that I knew we came to the right place.Dr. Paternoster explained everything as he went along trying to relieve my fear and also wanting me to understand the science of the methods he was performing.  I learned so much from this visit and he took me along the path of his discoveries, to the blood test and exam.  We talked about her history more after things came clear on some of the test, and he discovered that the lump was a gland that was damaged from a bite by a raccoon when Layla chased after the masked bandit in Chicago, and the discharge had nowhere to go.  The medications were filled right there and were very cheap and Layla was almost herself within a day and within two days was looking forward to a walk in the woods looking for squirrels.   Here is the major thing that pushed this visit to a sense of remarkable moment in my life.  I mentioned earlier that I thought Layla might have diabetes and we spoke about that I would stop by the pharmacy and get some testing stripes to test her urine.  Well, while Dr. Paternoster walked me outside with Layla, Layla decided to relieve herself on the bush by the door, and before I could say sorry, Dr. Paternoster cupped a handful of urine with his hand and went inside to test it.Well, you can guess how surprised and amazed I was about his efforts already, and before I could grasp his commitment for animals, he was at the door again telling me Layla is all clear and isn't diabetic.  Dr. Daniel Paternoster is not only the best Veterinarian that I've met, but one of the most amazing humans I've ever encountered.  Hearing about how six months before my visit he was hit by a car riding his bike and almost died, I couldn't believe how incredibly amazing this man is and how his passion and love for his work makes Dr. Daniel Paternoster a hero in my eyes for living and for finding your passion in life. Just left here after bringing my dog in for a specific reason. Not only did they address the specific issue but gave my dog a very detailed examination. This review is specifically for our most recent visit and Dr. Colleen Beach.  FVC has been my BF's vet of choice before I came on scene.  I have logged a few annual visits to do the usual shot updates and found the clinic to be adequate/okay thus far.  Nothing 5 star until yesterday.  We brought in 3 dogs and were led to their larger exam room (convenient) with 2 benches for people with multiple pets.  Enter Dr. Beach.  She gave all 3 dogs a very thorough exam and addressed EVERY concern.  In detail.  She offered up possible causes, expected treatment plans, alternatives, prices, and just a super amount of info that really showed she keeps up on her stuff and loves to educate pet owners on how to best take care of their pets.  I love great info marketing and I really admired how she offered value to the information she provided along with solutions, treatments, and products offered in-house at FVC.  I trusted that she just wasn't trying to sell/upsell just for the sake of profit.  It was more like these are the options, here's what we offer, here are our prices--all with no pressure or guilt tactics.  If I had a heart problem, and Dr. Beach was a human heart surgeon, she would be the one to operate on my ticker.  The time Dr. B spent with us was impressive.  We were there for a little over an hour total from car unload to load although it seemed longer (not a bad thing cost/value-wise).  The total office visit with all shots and a # of extras for 3 dogs was about $340.00, last year's was under $270.00.  Truly, if I had endless extra cash, I would've probably signed up for all  Dr. B recommended.  lolI want to add that I took 2 of the 3 dogs to Affordable Vet Services in A2 a couple of months ago (due to lots of raving Yelp reviews on care and price) to get an alternate opinion on some issues they were having at the time and prior.  Review soon to come for that place (would recommend as well).  Anyway, I had compared bills from last year's FVC to AVS's after the fact and Fowlerville Veterinary Clinic's pricing was a actually a little better than AVS's.  FVC is more of a rural vet (they see horses, etc.) and is a little bit of a drive from my homebase, but Dr. Beach finally made it really worth the trip today.  If you need a first or 2nd opinion on your pet's health, you can't go wrong with either place. Just make sure you see Dr. Beach if you choose to go to FVC! Other miscellaneous info:  freestanding larger facility, office visit price for extra dogs was half ($21 vs. $42 1st dog), toddler/kids room with toys + books to pass the time (nice touch when you have to haul along a 2-1/2 y/o), clean/bright/airy/modern, front desk personnel was just SLIGHTLY more personable than the staff at AVS in A2 which is not saying much (again, adequate...I guess), there is a sign to not use your cell phone in the waiting area.
