I have been going here for years for my cats and dog. My most recent experience was as usual a great one. My dog had a past allergic reaction to her shots and the staff at the vet were very concerned and patient;suggesting we wait there to see if any reactions would occur. They came in the room to check on us periodically and were very informative on what to do should it happen once we went home. Each time I have gone they always call the next day to see how my pup is doing after her visit. I would definitely recommend this veterinarian, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because just like anyone I wish the prices were lower. Read Less

Great experience every time. They treat nervous dogs awesome. I've never had to wait longer than 5 mins to see a vet. We've seen three different vets and they were all awesome including Dr. Lynch and Dr. Harper. They spent a lot of time on my cat when he was having a reaction to the vaccine and was hypersalivating. Dr. Lynch must have spent an hour with us. The vet tech Nicole is also awesome with my nervous pup. Highly recommend. Read Less

I'll try and make a long story short. They gave my dog a rabies shot that was infected with something. The shot gave him vasculitis, we went back THREE times and they had no clue what it was, giving him medication for fungus. We went to another vet who took a biopsy of the vaccination spot where his HAIR WAS FALLING OFF, and confirmed that not only did he have vasculitis, but cancer as well. Now, trying to get our money back from the drug company has been a joke since Garden City Vet is being unhelpful in providing the new vet with information on the bad vaccine and other information necessary to get a refund for the shot, biopsies, and medication. I later discovered my dog didn't even need a rabies shot booster when they insisted he did, so now my poor dog has vasculitis (luckily cancer is gone) that he will need to be taking medication for three times a day for the rest of his life. Garden City Veterinary Hospital is amazing. I took my French Bull Dog there and they were amazing with my dog Jack and With me. They had to do emergency surgery on him and knew I was limited to how much money I could pay. They worked with me and took payments so my dog Jack could get the help he needed. My dog had a cough. So I take her in for an exam. They check her out and come back with a 350.00 to 500.00+ estimate for treatment. Flabbergasted by the amount I called my wife to see what we could do. We agreed to a 338.00 dollar blood test. When I told them we couldn't afford this they suggested taking the 15.00 dollars off for the cough medicine. I said why would I do that, I want her to feel better don't you. They acted like I was crazy. The blood test was negative and the cough medicine worked. This is not the first time the sucked me in to paying a ridiculous amount of money. I brought my senior dog in to get her nails clipped (daggers) and was a bit nervous as we had had a bad experience at a different vet  when she got her nails trimmed last. I explained to the lady's that helped me of our last experience and even though my old gal was being a bit sassy and wiggling around they got the job done. I was very grateful to them for understanding  her being a bit uneasy after the last time, they took their time did not hurt her (the other place was a nightmare) and now even though she has some trouble getting around (she's 15)she's doing better after getting nails done! You know what, I love this vet. I've taken three cats there on separate occasions and each time has been pleasurable. This place is clean and staff is friendly. Vaccines were painless and products were offered that weren't inflated in price. For my skid dish cat, we taken to the exam room early so he could be let out of his carrier. I really love this vet, but I gave them 4 stars only because there is usually a long wait time. However, the staff is fantastic. My dog is rather shy, but she took to the doctors and techs immediately. They are wonderful with her. They are very gentle and do an excellent job of explaining things. They probably need to hire more staff or handle their scheduling better, but I continue to go there anyway because I love the staff, and, to me, that's worth the wait. One reviewer said he noticed a bad smell in there, but I've been there for several appointments and have never smelled a bad odor. The place is always extremely clean. They do usually have a candle burning and they do sell those candles - and they smell amazing. We've purchased some. Pets have odors and candles help. That's just a fact. Read Less
