I recently adopted to male kittens. I took them to Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital and found that t! he vets I have seen in the past have all left...red flag! Dr. Jessica Kessler saw my 7 week old boys...
I recently adopted to male kittens. I took them to Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital and found that t! he vets I have seen in the past have all left...red flag! Dr. Jessica Kessler saw my 7 week old boys. She picked one up and moved him around in her hands for a moment. Then she told me that I needed to put them on flea protection. I told her I was not planning on it because they are indoor only and I did not want to add extra chemicals into their systems. I told her that I had bathed them twice, flea combed them and found zero evidence of any issues. At that very moment, she looked down at one of them and said, "Oh, I see a flea". I asked her to comb him and show me the evidence of fleas. I could've made a mistake! She refused and ordered Revolutions for 3 months. I did take one month. She refused to do a fecal sample or testing for feline aids or leukemia. I have 2 adult cats, so this is crucial information to keep them safe. Both kitten had runny eyes and sneezing, for which she did nothing. She began to walk out of the exam room when I stopped her and said, "you haven't even looked at the other kitten". She picked him up and set him down...that was his exam. I was charged $200+ for this level of care. The office manager refused to entertain any kind of change to the bill, after hearing about the visit and the absolute lie told by her vet!
I took my boys to another vet for "real" care. NO, THEY DO NOT HAVE FLEAS! So, Dr. Kessler completely LIED to me when she said Oh, I see a flea. This new vet carefully examed both boys, prescribed antibiotics and eye ointment, reviewed and made changes to their diet, took and processed a fecal sample, took and processed a blood sample. All the things on a checklist for a new kitten visit. He spent time to discuss any and all concerns. He even was joyful to pet and play with these little guys. His last statement to me "These boys are going to be so beautiful. I can't wait to see them full grown."
It's such a shame that this facility has gone in this direction. They used to be trusted and reputable.

Honestly, I really like everyone who works here. I love the dog plans but their scheduling is terrible. My dogs are in pain and uncomfortable and they can't schedule them in for 2 weeks out. Of course...
Honestly, I really like everyone who works here. I love the dog plans but their scheduling is terrible. My dogs are in pain and uncomfortable and they can't schedule them in for 2 weeks out. Of course I have the dog plan so this would be covered. Now I have to go somewhere else. Very inconsiderate to the current patients. If they can't handle the workload... the shouldn't.

My cat Aurora was a client. He was bleeding from his ear, blood spraying as he shook his head. I called and was told they could see him in a week. I asked them if your ear was bleeding,would you wait a week? This was not an injury, but ?. Happened so fast.. I called Village Animal Clinic in Trenton. They saw him in 2 hrs. I cannot express the compassion and caring Aurora received... He had a ear infection and after that cleared up, a tumor was seen. After a biopsy, learned he has sarcoma in blood and lymphatic system. He is not suffering and I will enjoy him each day until then. I know
That at that time, I will be compassionately helped by my new vet. It is refreshing to find a vet who is not forceing tests, for monetary gain. Most of all, I thank God for giving me Aurora, his cat which I have the honor of taking care of, for 14 years. Will take care of till he goes home, since he has only shown me , love, compassion, comfort and so much more.
Think of researching other vets for your fur babies, since there is so much more than you will ever find or recieve at Gibralter Vets.

Moose went in for surgery it was only supposed to take about 1:45 minutes but it was alot more involved it took them 3 hours the doctor did an outstanding job. They didn't even charge me moore for all the extra work they did great job to you and your team. They also have a great puppy and dog insurance plans well worth it. Staff members are always friendly and helpful.

I cannot remember the Doctors name that saw my cat, but he was amazing. He had to deliver some terrible news to me, but did it in such a compassionate way. He stayed with me while he explained everything to me, showing me my cats test results, what they meant and never made me feel like he needed to leave for his next patient. He stayed in the room with me to console me, it was very nice to have someone with me since I had gone alone. Although I wish the outcome could have been better from our visit, it was handled with such care. Everyone there was just so supportive and nice under such a terrible circumstance.

Great boarding facility. It’s always hard to leave your pets but they make it less painful. You know if your pet gets sick there’s a vet available to treat them.

I understand your groomer (Gibraltar Vet Hospital) was not able to groom Mack. She wanted to muzzle him when he was on ACE which a Veterinarian, and two groomers told me you don't muzzle a dog on ACE...
I understand your groomer (Gibraltar Vet Hospital) was not able to groom Mack. She wanted to muzzle him when he was on ACE which a Veterinarian, and two groomers told me you don't muzzle a dog on ACE you put a cone/ e-collar on him. I suggested the cone and your groomer said No. Because your groomer wasn't not able to groom him she said he will have to go under anesthesia each time he needed to be groomed.
Instead I took the advice of numerous people who recommended a Professional Groomer in Flat Rock. She was Amazing. She groomed Mack, trimmed his nails, bathed and dried him. He looks great and I witnessed the entire process. She was Confident and is set up in her Shop to handle stressed dogs. The groomer at Gibraltar Vet Hosp lacked confidence from the start. I noticed it and so did Mack. So we found Mack's groomer elsewhere.

We have used Gibraltar Veterinary Clinic to board our dog several times over the past 3 years, and have always been very happy with their staff. They are very knowledgeable and always seem ready for whatever we throw at them. Chase ( our dog ) never gives us any hesitation about going there, and is always happy in the pictures they send.

This is a great place. They truly care about your pets. Both our dogs go there as did our first dog. Each time they go in their tails are wagging and they are excited to see the staff. They show no signs of anxiety or fear. I like the staff, they like the staff you can't get much better than that.

The Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital is a first class facility. I can trust them to take great care of my cat for all his needs from ICU to boarding. I consider myself lucky that they are located close by. However I would travel for their services if we had to.

I've used three other boarding kennels before and this is by far the cleanest, brightest, most beautiful and most caring of all! I wouldn't take my Sadie anywhere else. You can tell all the care givers really love the animals and take good care of them. I like being able to call when I am gone and talk to someone about how Sadie is doing and if she is eating. I would recommend them to anyone.

Awesome one stop shop. You can see the doctor, get your medications and your dog groomed all in one location. The staff is very caring toward your fur baby. The doctors are also very caring and take the time to explain everything to you.
We had a yorkie that got ill and we were new to the area. They got us in right away and to our surprise our fur baby needed emergency life saving surgery. They were very informative as to what was going on.
I definitely recommend

Dr. Jessica Kessler saw my 7 week old boys. She picked one up and moved him around in her hands for a moment. Then she told me that I needed to put them on flea protection. Of course I have the dog plan so this would be covered. Now I have to go somewhere else. Very inconsiderate to the current patients. If they can't handle the workload... the shouldn't.

They didn't even charge me moore for all the extra work they did great job to you and your team. They also have a great puppy and dog insurance plans well worth it. Staff members are always friendly and helpful.

I cannot remember the Doctors name that saw my cat, but he was amazing. He had to deliver some terrible news to me, but did it in such a compassionate way. He stayed with me while he explained everything to me, showing me my cats test results, what they meant and never made me feel like he needed to leave for his next patient. I've used three other boarding kennels before and this is by far the cleanest, brightest, most beautiful and most caring of all! I wouldn't take my Sadie anywhere else. You can tell all the care givers really love the animals and take good care of them. I like being able to call when I am gone and talk to someone about how Sadie is doing and if she is eating. I would recommend them to anyone.
