My boxer girl had a run-in with a woodchuck this morning, so I brought her in as soon as they opened, and they got us right in. They were very compassionate and friendly and got my baby fixed up. They also don't do unnecessary procedures just to get money out of you, which is always appreciated. I got out the door only having to pay $100, which included 2 prescriptions! RRAC is a great animal clinic. It is comforting to know that I can easily make an appointment in case of an urgent problem. Also, all of the Vets are so caring, friendly and knowledgeable! Normally our pets see Dr. Munro...but if he is off or on vacation, it's no problem to see Dr. Jolee or Dr. Heidi. Also, the Front Office staff and Technicians are extremely helpful, considerate and experienced. Sometimes talking on the phone with one of the staff is all that's needed! I recently changed vets to Robbins Road Animal Clinic. Within weeks, Dr. Tom discovered that my cat has a very serious hyperthyroid condition (that our other two vets MISSED...for years they were treating symptoms, not the cause). With a very simple daily treatment, this cat is doing GREAT. He's gained weight, he's not throwing up anymore, his heartrate has returned to normal & he's the happiest he's been in years. They are always friendly and willing work with our schedule. The reason for only 3 of 5 stars is lack of emergency care. Recently our boxer tangled with a muskrat on a Friday evening. The muskrat bit our boxer a couple of times during the encounter. The dog was bleeding very hard, not gushing but almost. We called every vet in Grand Haven and Holland, they all directed us to the emergency clinic in Grand Rapids. We were able to clean the wounds and stop the bleeding ourselves.Had it been more serious driving nearly an hour to GR would not have been an option. There should be an on call vet in the area. They have always worked us in when there is a unexpected problem that comes up. I started bringing my shepherd-husky mix as a pup to Jolee's Dad in 1974. Then there was our samoyed mix, followed by cats Oreo, deaf/diabetic/epileptic Motown and then his buddy Cosmo. Jolee, her Dad George and now Dr. Tom, have helped us take all of them from cradle to grave. Then we moved to another part of the county and purely for the sake of convenience went to another Vet's office that was closer to home. But we were having some recurring issues with one of our cats and out of frustration wanted a fresh perspective, second opinion, and came back to see Dr. Tom. He had some insight that helped us to understand what we were dealing with and some suggestions how to handle it. The other Vet's office is good but the visit at RR was like coming home. Read Less

On our first visit to this clinic the staff was so friendly and nice and answered all of our questions. Our second visit we unexpectedly lost our dog. Our family was devastated but the staff and veterinary Dr were so caring and sympathetic. They went out of their way to get us through that situation.
