I would give these vets 10 stars if I could.  I have been bringing my 20-year old cat, Maggie, here for about the last 15 years, and have felt so comfortable here. Dr. Stasiak always offered options, explained all of them, and never pressured or judged, but shared opinions when requested to do so.  When Maggie died, Dr. Stasiak phoned his condolences, helped with closure, and he -- and the whole staff, for that matter -- sent a handwritten note.  The clinic then sent a contribution in Maggie's name to MSU to benefit their Companion Animal Fund. The office staff was friendly and efficient, both doctors knowledgeable and compassionate, the costs fair and reasonable.  I can only recommend this clinic to any and every pet owner. Read Less

Extremely caring and always willing to answer any and all questions I have had as a first time dog owner. Our 2 dogs have seen Dr. Mike Knowles since we rescued them almost 12 years ago.  Their staff have always been courteous and wonderful to deal with.  Dr. Knowles goes above and beyond.  When our dachshund/terrier mix had a serious back injury he personally called and checked on her progress nearly every day.  Our dogs are well taken care of and we have every confidence in their services. Dr. Knowles took very good care of my girl, seeing us for an urgent reason but also conducting a full exam and getting her updated on a couple of vaccines she was a little late on. He followed up after the weekend exactly as promised. I sincerely appreciated their attention. My only complaint is that I was given a verbal estimate only because the technician was unsure as to how to print it, but then the actual total exceeded it by a full $120+. I also realize that it was simply an estimate, however, she specifically told me that all the vaccinations would be included in the price she gave me, whereas later she said she had inexplicably not added them in. Therefore, nothing "new" or unexpected happened between estimate and payment, she simply miscalculated. I thought that the price was reasonable (at the first estimate), so I do think it was a bit high as the vaccinations shouldn't have been over $100. However, I will continue to use them as our primary vet as long as there is not further charge for the (simple) after-care.Read Less

I recently moved to Grand Rapids with my beloved dog, Watson. This past night Watson became ill. I was extremely worried about him and called Forest Hills the next morning. I was a brand new patient and they fit me in before noon. They were very helpful and answered all my questions. And now, only 3 hours later, Watson seems to be feeling just fine again! Took our dogs in for their regular vaccines, both vets are great and the staff is excellent as well. Also took my dog in after he ate a bottle of pills and they did a great job of seeing him right away, getting the pills out of him, and he's doing great! Prices are perfectly reasonable as well.
