We braught our syberian husky in to have a retained testicle removed and the doctor admittedly made mistake and mistook part of his kidney or urethra for his testicle and told us he may not survive. They recommended us to blue pearl to have him evaluated and monitored and their insurance would take care of the bill. It has been a year now and the insurance is saying they will not cover the bill and sending me letters claiming that blue pearl is holding me responsible for the bill but when i contacted blue pearl they said it is not true and that i am not responsable. I am verry dissapointed in the services at this hospital and will never return or recommend anybody there. Read Less

Canceled my last two appointments (six months apart) an hour before I was set to go. Turns out if you have a back up doctor and they're constantly on vacation then you don't have a back up doctor. Never open at a convenient time so I always have to ask off work before hand and then go back to my boss and ask again. (She's not happy with me.)During my first visit the assistant was very rude to me and implied I was abusing my dog. She glared at me the entire visit for said "abuse," because the dog had lost weight as she got older and lost muscle mass. The doctor didn't say anything that I should do different and no one called animal control so I'm assuming it's perfectly normal just like it is for humans. EXPENSIVE!!! Read Less

Unfortunately this practice has gone down over the ~15 years that we patronized it. They lost one of their best vets (L. Brush) some years ago and the place now seems to be run by Extremely rude veterinary technicians who are not responsive to customer needs. Also, they are VERY EXPENSIVE, simply trying to sell you additional add-ons such as electric fences, food and services. Trust me, you will do Much Better with any of the other Excellent vets in the area such as Cascade Animal Hospital, Ada Animal Hospital etc.!!    I simply can no longer recommend this place. Extremely happy with our experience! Dr. Faber was great and actually spent time talking to us about our dog. He was very knowledgeable and gave us many options on treatment for our dog and symptoms to look for! The front desk staff was also great and friendly. The facility was clean and well taken care of! I've been taking my dogs and cats here for 20+ years and even though I now live 20 miles away and there are closer places I like the care that Dr. Paukette provides. I have confidence in the diagnosis and treatment from either Dr. Faber or Dr Paukette although usually we see Dr. Paukette. The staff has been there a long time and they all do a great job.Read Less

They ask you to come in 15 minutes early to fill out a form that takes two minutes to complete. They asked me to call my vet and have her paperwork faxed over which I did and then when I got there they tell me their fax machine is broken. I sat there for half an hour while they took other people that walked in after me in, they had to wait less than 5 mintues, but I had to wait half an hour before I walked out because it's not easy hanging onto a hyper dog, 30 minutes is my limit. Oh and the dirty looks from staff members didn't help either, no wonder they have signs everywhere advertising for new clients, their customer service skills are the worst I've seen in awhile!!! Wonderful place. They have taken great care of my dogs over the years, including end of life for my 15 year old Siberian Huskie. I have been bringing my cats Frasier, Zappa, Morris & Cleo (RIP) to Plainfield Pet Hospital since 2010 and absolutely would not go anywhere else. They take such good care of my animals and I know many other people who bring their pets here & are very satisified. They have the friendliest staff who really take time to listen to you.
