Although my initial impression of the staff, was of caring people, my opinion of the business changed drastically after the following events:
My daughter went there to adopt a special needs cat from them, as an emotional support pet, to help the cat as well as help her with her own anxiety.
The 1st day we went, she met the cat and he responded beautifully to her. At that time, we were told that the adoption was between her and one other party. Later that same night, the staff called my daughter to tell her she was chosen to be the one who gets to adopt the cat.
Over the next two weeks, my daughter met the staff of the clinic, the Dr whoβd originally rescued the cat, and even the landlord of the building that the clinic resides in. It was apparent that everyone loved the cat very much and wanted him to go to a good and quiet home. Multiple people confirmed that my daughter was to be the βnew mommy.β
After my daughter had received the confirmation that she was going to be able to adopt the cat, after he had one more medical procedure, she paid the $180 licensing fee for the Emotional Support Pet License.
After two weeks, of driving over an hour round trip, multiple times, and buying things for the cat, the landlord of the building, where the clinic is located, decided that she wanted to keep the cat, and so the clinic decided to give it to her, without any consideration to my daughter and the bond she had built with her visits. Furthermore, the landlord of the building, had the gall to tell my daughter that she was a βChristian womanβ and had βprayed on this.β
What this woman said and did was, in my opinion very selfish, and not very Christian... taking the cat away, after confirming herself, that my daughter was to be the new owner, is not caring Christian behavior.
Since the clinic staff, including that same landlord, had already confirmed my daughter was to be the new owner, my daughter went through with paying for the licensing. I think the business has extremely poor ethics to lead a young woman with anxiety issues on, promise her the adoption, then from one day to the next let someone who had previously said she could NOT take the cat, just decide to take it anyway.
The clinic even went so far as to delete the FB ratings when my daughter, her family and friends were outraged.
They show a 100% 5 star rating on their site, but none of the reviews we have written are showing up.
What they have done is unconscionable and unethical... then to delete the ratings, to make themselves look better, is despicable! Read Less
