They gave me a price for surgery when I brought my dog in one morning and when i returned later that same day to pick my dog up and somehow the price almost tripled. My husband and I absolutely love Dr. Chalmers and the rest of the staff at Seidl! Our pup ruptured some discs in her back in August and has had a long recovery. The staff at Seidl has been a huge support through it all and we owe much of her progress to them. I Drive two and a half hours to go to the vet because they are one of the best around they care about your animal and they will do the best they can for you every time in the service is always 5 star along with the doctor he is amazing he has done many many things for my animals where any of my vets in town would charge me an arm and a leg he is reasonable and cares! My husband and I were put in a tough spot, having to make a decision about our kitty's future at the same time our local vet's office was closing. We took Willow to see Dr. Koons who spent close to an hour with us, talking through everything. While the outcome is not favorable, I truly appreciate the time she spent with us so we knew we were making the right decision. Dr. Seidl's office has been taking care of my pets since I moved to Hastings. When we had to put down our husky, he came out to our home in the country so it would be less stressful for our dog. He is very good with animals and people, and recommended several different types of corn-free dog food when he realized our new pup had a corn allergy. He didn't even push for the stuff that was out front, he gave us a lot of very well educated options.Recently, I took my cat Gandalf in for a checkup. I met with one of the other vets, she was excellent with Gandalf and he stayed very calm during the entire visit. The quickly diagnosed him with a small eye infection and demonstrated how to hold him while administering the drops to his eye. This is a very good place to take your pets, I highly recommend it. Dr. Seidl and his staff saved my dogs life. He performed an amazing, seemingly impossible surgery and gave my dog the best possible care, and in the end the bill was incredibly reasonable. During other visits for lesser reasons, they have treated our pets conservatively and very well. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. We have had 3 different vets in our lifetime, and Dr. Seidl is the best! Our dogs were always terrified to go to the other vets. My Havanese aren't afraid to go to Dr. Seidl...... they absolutely LOVE him! We breed our dogs, which is very time sensitive.
