We have taken our pets to EHVC for close to 20 years. When we first went there we took our cocker Admiral in for a second opinion on a Saturday morning, when we thought our poor little was was on death's door. The vet we were going to at the time had told us it was a muscle spam and gave us a muscle relaxant - we totally expected the dog to be dead the next morning when we got up, it was that bad. Dr. Fred took an x-ray and ruled that out immediately, then took a urine sam...ple - appears poor Admiral had a horrible kidney infection - gave him some antibiotics, and within 24 hours we had our adorable pet back to almost 100%. From then on we have taken our pets to EHVC - they have always given us their honest opinions, suggested what the best course of action would be for our dogs (on our third dog with them now), and I think they love our pets almost as much as we do. I recently had my dog neutered. The procedure went fine and my dog recovered fine. I wish the staff would have given me more information on how to take care of my dog after surgery. What to expect. How long does it take for the urge to hump other animals take to get out of his system, if ever. What I can expect of his behavior ongoing after the surgery. Energy level, etc. I feel like the follow through with information of what to expect after the surgery was lacking. Read Less

Friendly professional staff. Our doctor genuinely cared for our cat and called to check in on us after our first visit. I'd feel comfortable calling for advice and I'm certain they'd do their best to offer their knowledge. Office is clean and comfortable. Prices are low, but that shouldn't matter for your companions. I had to write a review for this amazing clinic!  The staff and vets are absolutely the best!  They not only fit me in for my cats uti but have consistently went above and beyond for Leroy and myself!  I want to thank them for everything and they have earned me as continued client for all my pets!  A huge thanks to Dr. Fritz for his compassion and help with Leroy and with me and my budget!  We love our pets and want the best but sometimes things happen at the worst times and they worked with me to ensure my cat had the best care and in a pinch!!!!     I am definitely recommending them to everyone! My family has taken our dogs and cats for many years to East Holland Vet for both routine and emergent care. They saved my New Foundland Gretchen's life when she was running a very high fever with an ear infection! The techs and the Vets are well informed and compassionate, while also telling you what is the best course of treatment for your pet. EHV also has extended hours on some evenings and certain weekends which is also very helpful. Read Less
