I took my pot bellied pig to this clinic. Dr. Bader is super personable and knowledgeable, made me feel totally at ease with leaving my pet pig in his care. I was nervous about bringing my pig into a clinic because she is super cautious and shy when out of her house-normal environment but he was quick to make us comfortable and made her as calm as possible. We have been taking our little rascals, Spanky and Buckwheat, to Mapleview for the past 18 years. The doctors and staff at Mapleview have always been attentive (they really listen) and passionate about caring for our pets. Their staff is courteous, prompt, and their facilities are clean. When we recently went through having to put Buckwheat down due to old age health reasons, they were compassionate and as tearful as we were throughout the procedure. Their efforts and willingness to help animals neglected and abused is nothing short of amazing. I love and trust this place. Dr. Bader has been known by my father in law for years and recommended him to me. He does a wonderful job. I also love that I can call anytime for advice. Should I be concerned with my dogs ears? I see goop in my dogs eyes I haven't seen before, why do you think this is? Do I need an appointment for anal gland expression? Anything I ask, they always answer quickly and accurately. Side note: I also took my class for a field trip (we had a small class) and my kids LOVED it! The presentation was excellent and the tour was wonderful. The building is always clean (as clean as an animal hospital can be). And you can tell they try to rid of any odours. Been going here for 9 years of my dog's life now.They always help me out and i have had to call the emergency line in the middle of the night before.If i am concerned about price they will help me find alternatives and help me make decisions.My dog gets his yearly shots here.If my dog ever gets hurt at home or sick they help me get in ASAP to see either doctor , they both are very nice to me and my dog.They have kept Rex and me very happy.They helped my n laws put their border collie down when he got cancer and they were very professional.That is a very hard time for any family to endure. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. My fiancé and I have been taking our cat to this location. But will not be continuing to do so after today. In fact we had an appointment just a few weeks ago. With the holidays coming up I remembered that our cat gets really bad motion sickness in the car and we will be traveling. I wanted to help our cat without drugging him or giving him any unnatural products. Online on every list I could find ginger is said to help cats and dogs with motion sickness. Curious I stopped by to ask the vet about it. This is where the downfall of this location is. No I did not have an appointment. But I am a customer. And they treated me like I was a nobody off the street. I politely asked for advice on giving ginger to cats at the front desk. The assistant then went over to the break room where all the staff was in clear view eating lunch. He reiterated my question and the main vet (I assume... with gray facial hair and is pictured in many photos on this page) wiped his face in an obvious you're interrupting me kind of way and blatantly said "No" and nothing else. The assistant asked "Nothing?" And the man shook his head and even though he was in clear view of me didn't even give me eye contact and again stated a stern non emotional "No". Why? I could only assume because answering it had no benefit to him. Like really???? How horrible that they can't give simple advice to a customer. How about you are no longer our vet and we take our business elsewhere.Read Less

Very good vet, helped us get our pup back to health. Groomer has always done a good job with cats and dogs. I can usually get in as soon as I need. Only downside is they pass thru the credit card fee, so cash or check is better. Read Less

I have two Pitbulls that LOVE going to the vet thanks to the staff! Always get right in. We rescued a dog with Parvo in February and they saw him the day I called with his story. Mapleview walked us through the treatments and gave us all the tools to give him fluids at home every few hours. He survived and is alive and well all thanks to these awesome people! So I took my female rat Shadow, to have a spay done so she could go and be introduced to my three male rats. Got a quoted price, and had a check up the day before just to make sure nothing stood out saying she shouldn't be put under the knife. The Cost of the day before check up was rolled into the next day surgery, which was awesome. The surgery was the a day before I got paid, so writing a check they were nice enough to wait until saturday to cash it so I had time to cash my check. Over all if I could give half stars I would. While all the staff I talked to were nice, and Dr. Jim was awesome and very knowlegable on not only my rat, but all my other exotics that haven't been to see him. The only reason this is 4 and not a 5 is because at least for me I had no courtesy calls. Not one to remind me of my appointment or surgery and not one checking to see how Shadow was doing after being home from surgery after a few days. This could be just because I am use to smaller clinics that have time for the more one on one connections. It is an hour drive one way for me and for my exotics it is well worth the trip.Read Less
