We absolutely love Dr. Erik Corbett, we have been coming to Town center for years but he has definitely made our experience ten times better. Both of my heelers have a little bit of anxiety about the vet but he has worked wonders with them. I fully trust him and the entire staff with my pups. We took our 18 year old poodle/mix there last night as an emergency and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the kindness and comfort given to us by the staff. We called our own vet who was too busy to take an emergency. We thought he had broken his legs. They squeezed our Duffy in even tho they were also very busy. We have been going to Town Center for 6 years. The practice was previously owned by Dr. Jackie Pozniak and as of November 2015 is now owned by Dr's Erik and Jenna Corbett. We were very happy with the practice before and couldn't be happier now. Even though Dr. Pozniak is retired, she continues to work at the clinic one day a week. The transition to new vets has been seamless. The care that our animals receive is wonderful. We have five Dalmatians!  We have seen both Dr. Corbett's. If I was offered $1000 to try another vet I would say ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Wild horses couldn't drag me away from this place and these people! My doggie got super sick and needed emergency surgery. Every step of the way they were right there to answer any questions and were very sweet to me and Sophia. I would never go to another vet, ever! Even if they were the cheapest in town. You cannot pay for the kind of care I received at Town Center. They are simply amazing even when you call 20 times a day to ask questions, they are as sweet as can be. Dr. Pozniak and her staff are amazing! They are extremely compassionate and understanding. Our cat was very sick and had a few complications that made it necessary to try alternative treatments. She was very sick and ended up having to be euthanized. The staff and Dr. Pozniak helped us through the entire process and explained everything every step of the way through her treatment. I was unhappy with the vet that I was taking my dogs to, not enough individual attention, and my neighbor recommended Town Center. I can't say enough about Dr. Pozniak and her staff! Our dogs, one with anxiety disorder, just love her and I know when I have to leave they there for surgeries or teeth cleaning that they are getting the best care possible. I have been going to Town Center since 2000. I know all the staff members by name, and they know me and my critters.Why drive 40 minutes to a vet office when there's plenty of vet offices closer to my home?1) They specialize in the dog breed, Bernese Mountain Dog, which we own. Our dogs have been going to Town Center since they were puppies. Many southeast lower Michigan BMD breeders go to Town Center even though there are other vets closer to them, too.2) In my experience at least, they are more scientific about diagnosis and treatment than some other, closer vets. (Sometimes at other vet offices, I would feel like they were treating the animal for MY satisfaction, and not spelling out all the options in an objective way so that I could decide what was best for my pet.)3) They explain all the medical stuff to me so that I can understand, too.4) They have seen us through some tough times with our critters. Yes, you can easily spend a fortune on a pet, and they have always been able to help us decide how aggressive the treatment should be.5) They are willing to equip us with the stand-by medicines and skills we need to handle minor emergencies ourselves at home, until we can get to a vet for more help if needed.6) When necessary, they have provided information to a closer vet when there isn't time to drive all the way to Howell. They are willing to work with other vet offices and I think that shows professionalism. Their patients come first.Tip: The parking lot is at the back, off E. Clinton Street. If you want to keep your car cooler for your pet(s), make your appointment in the morning and park against the wall in the parking lot. The wall will cast a shadow and keep the car cooler. Read Less
