These people literally helped save my precious cat's life. They properly taught me how to administer my cat's insulin, and made sure i was comfortable performing his injections before i left the office. They called me regularly just to see how he was doing, and took the time to THOROUGHLY answer any questions I had when I called them. My cat is now in diabetic remission and is healthy as can be! They are caring and render outstanding care. They make my cat very comfortable, and they have my utmost trust. They provide his special dietetic food at a price cheaper than most online brokers. I also like that there are no doggos to make the kitties uncomfortable. Read Less

The doctors are very knowlodgeable. Every time I’m there, the staff are very helpful and approachable. However, because they are a “specialty” office, I feel like they charge more than other area vets would. Read Less

Very caring, experienced and flexible with scheduling. Cat Clinic North and Kentwood Cat Clinic are the same clinic, just different locations, so one can always use both clinics as needed. The vets rotate locations on different days of the week. The Kentwood (Breton & 29th St) location has been responsive to becoming more wheelchair accessible after some issues were brought up, which is great and it shows just how much they care. These Cat Clinics are amazing. They are an exemplary company and a blessing to our community, to the cat guardians they serve, and to the many kitties they heal and love! Read Less

My cat is a bit grouchy with strangers and the staff/vets took extra time to treat her patiently and with kindness even though she's a bit snappy. I just loved the clinic. I wish we lived closer. I made the mistake of bringing my sick cat to a Vca clinic. 700$, no medications, and no diagnosis later I ended up at the kentwood cat clinic desperate for help. My cat can be aggressive towards people she doesn't know, and the staff here was able to examine her and run tests without even having to sedate her or stress her out at all. They ran some tests that came back negative but chose to atleast treat her symptoms hoping that would atleast get her to eat (she hadn't ate anything for a few days) the next morning diarrhea started and she wasn't lifting her tail so it was getting all over her. I called the cat clinic and asked if they could give her a bath and a sanitary shave. They had a meeting around the time I was able to get her in, but said to bring her in anyway and they would accommodate her. I brought her in and after shaving her they found a rash on her butt. The vet came out and explained to me what was going on and allowed me to go to the back and see it as well as show me how to apply spray to it. In the mean time, one of the techs was curious about a parasite and decided to run a fecal test free of charge to see. It was positive. The doctor gave her antibiotics for the parasite, didn't charge me for the fecal test since it was done out of their own curiosity, and sent us on our way. My cat has been on the mend ever since we got back home. I spent roughly 200$ there for a cure for my cat. I spent 700$ at Vca and they didn't even think to run a fecal and wanted me to do a 250$ xray on top of it all. And I got no diagnosis or medicine from them. Even when I brought my kitten to them for her shots, they tried to tell me there was more wrong with my cat and she needed to come in for more testing or she could die. (I didn't even have my cat with me at that appointment, just the kitten) and they refused to give the kitten the same antibiotics as my cat until I got up to leave and said I was taking her to the cat clinic. Long story short I will never bring my cats anywhere besides the kentwood cat clinic ever again. This place is professional, does not overcharge, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Plus they actually care about your cats health. Read Less

Dr. Tammy is simply the best. Plus, she surrounds herself with top notch vets whom I've worked with throughout the years, along with a pleasant and competent staff.Dr. Tammy and I went through some ups and downs with major health issues of two of my cats during the 20 years I lived in Grand Rapids, and she and the other vets were extremely helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable. My Lynx Point Siamese, Portia, had a permanent intestinal condition (probably since birth), which could only be remedied fully through extensive -- and expensive -- surgery. Dr. Tammy recommended we forgo it, and see how Portia existed with her condition, while we focused on her diet. Obviously, Portia wasn't able to tell us if she was in major discomfort, but during her 17 years of life, she was one of the sweetest, loving cats I've ever had. And she seemed to have a very happy existence.I highly recommend Dr. Tammy and her team. Read Less

This is a cat-only clinic and you'll definitely pay for it.  While they may have the latest technology and all of the fluff and frills, their attitude is definitely lacking.  I couldn't help but to feel as if my kitty and I were burdens every single time we had to go to them.  My cat had hyperthyroidism which required us to get him checked up more than usual and after awhile the price just became too much.  I suppose if you need something serious, like an operation or a diagnosis you may want to check out the Cat Clinic but otherwise, you'll pay way more for sub-par service. Our first visit here, they gave me an estimate of $450-500 to try to figure out what was ailing our 6 year old cat, who had stopped eating about a week before. We had them do the first half of the tests (blood tests for $200) so we can figure it out step by step. They didn't get back to me with the results until 3 days later, after I had called three times and finally got so angry at them I ended up yelling at the receptionist. The doctor finally called back, to tell us that he couldn't tell what was wrong from the blood tests, so we needed an xray. By this time, the cat was so sickly that when they saw her again, he said she'd be dead within thirty minutes, and he couldn't xray her in that condition. They gave me another estimate of $500 to stabilize her and xray her, but they were going to close in an hour, so she'd need to be transported to an Emergency Hospital where it would be $2000 per day til they can figure out what's wrong with her.Not having this budget to treat her, I sadly had to have her euthanized to save her from her agony.Had we gotten the blood test results on the next day (which was what they told me they would do), she would have been well enough to get her xray then.
