I have previously gone to this hospital for my two dogs. Yesterday, I picked my dog up from the surgery, and after telling them that the either of them had eaten an entire bottle of pain medications, they told me to take them to a 24 hour clinic, which is fine but quite expensive. After finding that out, I was told that I could drop by tomorrow and do the necessary blood work for them the next morning. I had trust in this facility because my dogs have been going there since they were born. The next morning, today, I went with both of my dogs. The receptionist was upset and told us that they never said they could help out with my dogs, and that she'd get back to us in a little bit because they were completely booked, and she walked out of the room. Then, a family with another dog came in not three minutes later, and my dogs started barking at them. After this, the receptionist/nurse went out and scolded us and told us to wait outside- in the rain -because all we were doing was "causing more trouble" because we didn't have an appointment despite the fact that they said we could drop by today. I find it sad that despite my dogs being in possible imminent danger, the employees completely disregarded us. It is unfortunate that this happened today. The staff at Lake Orion Veterinary Hospital (LOVH) are amazing!! A recent family emergency required us to travel and board our two dogs on short notice. The problem was that my dogs needed updated vaccinations. After calling my current vet and being told they couldn't help us, I contacted LOVH. A wonderful woman named Pam went out of her way to get us an appointment that day and sent the updated records to the boarding facility.
