Dr. Rita and now Dr. Kelsey have looked after our dogs for the last 7 years. The care has been very good. They've been able to see us in urgent situations such as when our dog was dying. Last night my family dog was hit by a swerving driver on the shoulder of the road in front of my home. We rushed her to the 24 hour animal hospital and after a 4 hour wait we decided to head home to keep her comfortable until a real veterinarian could see her in the morning. We've been on a strict budget for a few months and most of our easy access savings has been used up. They still treated my wife and I with a level of empathy I thought the world had moved on from, far different from the other places we talked with. Went to Emergency Animal Hospital in Flint last night after my dog came in from outside with a wound on his face. I was quoted $500-$2000 for my dog to receive stitches. I went to Animal Medical Center in Lapeer this morning (walk in with no notice) they got us in and helped us out right away and my bill was only $81! On Thursday, December 4, 2014, our house caught fire and we lost our home, as well as all of our contents. Our puppy received serious injuries as a result of the fire. Dr. Taylor, and her amazing staff immediately took our Bull Mastiff, Kitty Kat Meow in and started treatment for her injuries. They are currently taking awesome care her and we couldn't be more thankful that they saved her life!
