I had a huge litter of Dane puppies and she wanted me to put the entire litter down due to her diagnosing wrong.took them to another vet,got antibiotics for a week and they were as good as new.i also had a friend who was told to put her puppy to sleep because she wouldn't live past 6 months but she lived 5 yrs and died from something completely unrelated.honestly can't believe she is still practicing!!! Love the staff and doctors here! We have been going to Thorpe for about 4 years now. My mother in law had rescued kittens from a shelter and they ended up having parvo. The office staff were simply amazing while we went through the process of trying to save them. Unfortunately we loss one but we were able to save the other. After reviewing the history on both animals my family takes here I am excessively disappointed in the lack of care the staff took to keep proper records. My dog was listed far heavier than her weight of 20 pounds. 6/7 pounds in such a small animal makes a huge difference. Charged my mom nearly double on each heartworm dosage because the listed weight was wrong. Not to mention the essential overdose. And then when my 14 year old cat is having trouble breathing the only referal to a 24 hour emergency vet is the one in Burton. Of which my mom can't drive to and I had to come up from Ann Arbor to put my very loved cat down in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place with strangers. I appreciated the follow up call. And i will continue to bring my remaining dog here as most veterinary faclilities in the local area are honestly rip offs. At least the staff here is friendly and courteous when they are open.. Not your fault my cat died, but a lack of updated record keeping is inexcusable. Hope you improve upon this.Read Less

I went here for the first time and highly do not recommend this place. First while I was in the room with my dog they didn't quiet shut the door. So the entire time I was in the room I listened to the lady running her mouth bad talking either me or the other customer. Talking about how they are dressed to how stupid they are. so i got up to see who it was. Once i saw who it was I thought it was only fair for everyone to know her name. So if you use this place Her name is Nancy she likes to run her mouth behind customers backs and bad talk them. Second my dog was only there for blood work and they gave my dog a shot. So i told them what where they doing and after i asked did they realized they messed up and the charts or something and gave the shot to the wrong animal. So whoever is in charge at this place needs to watch how things are run at this clinic. Worse clinic I have ever been to people bad mouthing the clients behind there backs to getting charts mixed up. This place could of killed my dog with there screw up for a simple blood work. Don,t waste your time with this place unless your willing to risk your animals health or life. Read Less

Very poor treatment of animals and people. They did not fully treat my dog and the receptionist tried to make me feel terrible by saying i am abusive to my dog. She also tried tp talk me into giving my dog to her. I am disgusted and will no longer be taking my cat or my dog to this horrid place. My animals are my life and they go about accusing people of things they are not doing. Shame on them. If your animal is sick and suffers weight loss, take them somewhere else for proper treatment. She makes you and your animals feel comfortable, she throughly explains to ensure you have a complete understanding and their office staff doesn't pressure you into purchasing unnecessary or even the recommend items for your pet.
