Please BEWARE! Take your pet somewhere else! This clinic’s mistake cost me my cat’s life. My cat was family. She was my therapy cat as well. I took her in to get her one year vaccine set. Apparently, they did not have record that she reacted badly during her last vaccine set. Even though they somehow didn’t have it on record, I told them this and expressed that I was worried about her. I was told what to expect and to call in with any concerns. I was concerned immediately and I called back. I was told her reaction was “normal”. The next morning, she was gone. I called them and was hysterical. The vet called me back and apologized and said that he would have never given her the vaccine if he knew she had a previous reaction. Apparently she was allergic. And he said that he would have immediately wanted me to bring her back if he knew she was having a problem. What? I told them she had a pervious reaction when I took her in and I called later when I was worried and was placed on hold while the receptionist apparently spoke with the doctor and told me it’s normal! The doctor apologized and offered to pay me an amount I asked for. I didn’t know how to put an amount on my cat. She was a rare Persian kitten worth $5000 when I got her and then there’s the amount of money I spent on her and the fact that she was a therapy cat. I was not compensated a penny though. To add insult to injury, they charged me for the fatal vaccine. If this was a human doctor, no matter how good you are, a fatal mistake would cost you your license and your office would be shut down. I’m sad animals don’t have those rights. RIP to my baby girl.

I can not thank this place enough. The staff and doctors were compassionate and informative. I brought my baby in on Sunday waiting in the parking lot scared she had a blockage. We went to the ER earlier that morning and they did nothing. The staff was quick with the diagnosis and worked her into the the schedule to get her on the road to recovery. The prices were beyond fair. I cant thank them enough for the updates through out the day. They were patient and compassionate as I sobbed. 10/10 take your animals here

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a vet. They missed a brain tumor and treated a "herniated disc". No one explained the diagnosis to us, no one explained the medications prescribed or what to expect. Questions asked to the doctor were like pulling teeth and answered very dismissively. One vet tech was extremely nasty to my husband, snapping at him to get out of the room after asking him to open the carrier. We brought her back in 2 days later because her condition was worsening and the same doctor just shrugged and suggested we wait longer. The next day we took her to another vet who alerted us to her neurological problem and how bad of shape she was in. We had to euthanize her that night. 3 days of unnecessary treatment and stress.
The only positives I have about this place are vet techs Liz and Vicky. They were both very compassionate and caring. They did their best for our girl and I can't thank them enough.
I will never ever bring another animal of mine into this place, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

These people are great. Brought in my 8 week old rott with Parvo. They broke down everything I needed to know and the options. They gave me a 60 to 70 percent chance. I ended up leaving him there for a week. The estimate that they gave me was spot on. All the techs there are awesome. Very friendly people. They are the best!

Very reasonable pricing. They get you in quick and are fast to be seen. Have a 100 pound german shepard and the vet tried to pet her and get down to her level, even with her growling. They have never ripped me off there. The vet has always diagnosed my girl correctly. I love how you can take your animal through the back entrance also, even though its under construction right now. Always clean. I have finally found an awesome place to take my girl that wont rip you off, or treat you like your a inconvenience. I highly recommend them.

Of I could give 0 stars I would my fur baby was diagnosed incorrectly said she scratched her eye and gave her antibiotics for 1 week. 1 week later she can't see running in to walls I took her to another veterinarian and my dog has glacauma now my dog can not see and is blind from not being diagnosed correctly and given the right medications the first time she went to the vet so her condition progressively got worse if you love your animal DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Petco gave a better diagnosis. Paid hundreds of dollars trying to figure out why my dog was loosing hair around her eyes, scratching severely and getting ear infections often. After multiple visits, medications and mange scrapings we went to Petco to get her food. We explained the situation to someone there and they determined she had food allergies. No wheat/grain and she has been better since. The doctors come off as very concerned and caring but if they we're unable to rule out something as simple as allergies it seems to me it's about the money.

I absolutely adore this place. Been coming here for 10 years. They are affordable and quick. I took my dog to affiliated emergency vet in allen park the other day because Dix Animal Hospital was still closed at the time. AFFILIATED actually wanted to charge me $1,000.00 for an anal gland flushing after my poor dog's anal gland was infected. I couldn't afford it so I waited about 20 minutes until Dix animal hospital opened and took her there. They only charged me $500.00 for everything. Literally half the cost of the other RIP off place. 2 days later, my dog's other anal gland ruptured and and when I took her in, the vet did the same procedure for free for me. I was so glad. They always take care of my fur babies and they really love animals here. I will never go anywhere else for my pets. Ever!

I called Sunday crying because Dexter needed more than my Vet offers. They answered so friendly & caring that I felt comfortable taking Dexter there. He’s been day hospitalized since (Ive refused to leave him at night and they’ve been understanding) and currently being tested for Cushing. Both Drs have been very sensitive and compassionate to both our needs. Animal Hospitals especially after hours normally equals lots of money. Not here, They’ve been very fair with me on pricing. Highly recommend!

This is the best animal hospital I have ever been to. I have a dog that takes medicine for seizures and he was acting like he was in pain for some reason. I called multiple vets and was told that I had to recall at 8AM the next day to get a same day appointment if I wanted my dog seen. I was told if I needed him seen that night I would have to go to an emergency vet hospital (way more expensive). I called Dix Animal Hospital 30 minutes before they closed and told them what was happening. I was able to get him in right before they closed and they happily stayed hours after their normal business hours to ensure my dog was well taken care for. They ran tests that other vets were unwilling to and explained all the results in a way that has been unmatched by any other. I felt like I understood what was happening to my dog. They did not charge me for everything that they should have. I walked out paying hundreds of dollars less that I expected to. For all these reasons I will not take any of my animals to any other vet. They treat your pets like a part of the family and truly care about them in a way you can not find anywhere else. Thank you Dix Animal Hospital.

Took my 86 yr. old auntie there to have her cat put to sleep because of cancer. Although the assistants were kind the Dr. showed little compassion. He rushed in sediated the cat without saying one word and left the room. Heartbroken after putting her cat to sleep the receptionist was rude and impatient towards my aunts questions about the bill to the point where I had to ask her to please understand that my aunt was an distraught elderly woman that just lost cat that was also her best friend. Broke my heart to see her be treated so poorly.

I just have one thing I would like to recommend to them that is when you bring your animal in to be put to sleep don't let thee owner wait so long in the room with thee animal that is being put to sleep it is too painful to go through the process.

He makes time for us and shows me how to give my cat the meds and care he needs. Over and above his veterinary qualifications, I think Dr. C. is a very good human being. I love the vets who work here, Dr Chadha is amazing.They are honest and have saved me so much money, I feel like they actually care and don't look at me like a bank mashineDr Chadha gets down on the floor to examine my dog (not all vets do this, some make the dogs go up on the *scary metal table* which you may know makes them *freak out*...) He takes the time to explain my dog's illness and treatment options, and never gave me sense that I was asking too many questions or that he may have other appointments waiting. And finally he knows what the heck he is doing !!!!!!!!! My english Bull dog had a hard time breathing. He diagnosed his condition & performed a simple procedure to fix it. My Dog can breath like 50 times better.So He is darn good at what he does!!!!!!!

I just rescued a kitten from a craigslist home and he was dirty, an eye infection and come to find out, he got a parasite. Dr. Chad and nurse Sue took care of Elliot amazingly and another nurse even jumped my car because it would not start when I went to leave. Every one is so caring. His exam and shots were only $55. They are very cheap and affordable. His medication for his eye and tummy were another $35. I think that this vet was the best choice for me to take my little boy. I would recommend this vet to everyone. Elliot thanks everyone to even know she had to get shots. He really liked nurse sue.

My family and I have been using Dix Animal Hospital for our pets since we moved to Downriver, three years ago. We moved here about a year back after visiting to other vets in downriver area. One of our dogs had a weird medical condition that none of the other vets seemed able to diagnose or treat. Dix Animal Hospital recognized that our dog had ‘mange mite’ an unusual skin infection and treated him right away. We were so impressed!This is a really awesome animal hospital and staff is friendly, helpful, quick to recommend products and services that your pet needs. They are also helpful in keeping you to your budget.

Please BEWARE! Take your pet somewhere else! This clinic’s mistake cost me my cat’s life. My cat was family. She was my therapy cat as well. I took her in to get her one year vaccine set. Apparently, they did not have record that she reacted badly during her last vaccine set. Even though they somehow didn’t have it on record, I told them this and expressed that I was worried about her. I was told what to expect and to call in with any concerns. I was concerned immediately and I called back. I was told her reaction was “normal”. The next morning, she was gone. I called them and was hysterical. The vet called me back and apologized and said that he would have never given her the vaccine if he knew she had a previous reaction. Apparently she was allergic. And he said that he would have immediately wanted me to bring her back if he knew she was having a problem. What? I told them she had a pervious reaction when I took her in and I called later when I was worried and was placed on hold while the receptionist apparently spoke with the doctor and told me it’s normal! The doctor apologized and offered to pay me an amount I asked for. I didn’t know how to put an amount on my cat. She was a rare Persian kitten worth $5000 when I got her and then there’s the amount of money I spent on her and the fact that she was a therapy cat. I was not compensated a penny though. To add insult to injury, they charged me for the fatal vaccine. If this was a human doctor, no matter how good you are, a fatal mistake would cost you your license and your office would be shut down. I’m sad animals don’t have those rights. RIP to my baby girl.

I can not thank this place enough. The staff and doctors were compassionate and informative. I brought my baby in on Sunday waiting in the parking lot scared she had a blockage. We went to the ER earlier that morning and they did nothing. The staff was quick with the diagnosis and worked her into the the schedule to get her on the road to recovery. The prices were beyond fair. I cant thank them enough for the updates through out the day. They were patient and compassionate as I sobbed. 10/10 take your animals here

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a vet. They missed a brain tumor and treated a "herniated disc". No one explained the diagnosis to us, no one explained the medications prescribed or what to expect. Questions asked to the doctor were like pulling teeth and answered very dismissively. One vet tech was extremely nasty to my husband, snapping at him to get out of the room after asking him to open the carrier. We brought her back in 2 days later because her condition was worsening and the same doctor just shrugged and suggested we wait longer. The next day we took her to another vet who alerted us to her neurological problem and how bad of shape she was in. We had to euthanize her that night. 3 days of unnecessary treatment and stress.
The only positives I have about this place are vet techs Liz and Vicky. They were both very compassionate and caring. They did their best for our girl and I can't thank them enough.
I will never ever bring another animal of mine into this place, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Very reasonable pricing. They get you in quick and are fast to be seen. Have a 100 pound german shepard and the vet tried to pet her and get down to her level, even with her growling. They have never ripped me off there. The vet has always diagnosed my girl correctly. I love how you can take your animal through the back entrance also, even though its under construction right now. Always clean. I have finally found an awesome place to take my girl that wont rip you off, or treat you like your a inconvenience. I highly recommend them.

Petco gave a better diagnosis. Paid hundreds of dollars trying to figure out why my dog was loosing hair around her eyes, scratching severely and getting ear infections often. After multiple visits, medications and mange scrapings we went to Petco to get her food. We explained the situation to someone there and they determined she had food allergies. No wheat/grain and she has been better since. The doctors come off as very concerned and caring but if they we're unable to rule out something as simple as allergies it seems to me it's about the money.

I absolutely adore this place. Been coming here for 10 years. They are affordable and quick. I took my dog to affiliated emergency vet in allen park the other day because Dix Animal Hospital was still closed at the time. AFFILIATED actually wanted to charge me $1,000.00 for an anal gland flushing after my poor dog's anal gland was infected. I couldn't afford it so I waited about 20 minutes until Dix animal hospital opened and took her there. They only charged me $500.00 for everything. Literally half the cost of the other RIP off place. 2 days later, my dog's other anal gland ruptured and and when I took her in, the vet did the same procedure for free for me. I was so glad. They always take care of my fur babies and they really love animals here. I will never go anywhere else for my pets. Ever!

I called Sunday crying because Dexter needed more than my Vet offers. They answered so friendly & caring that I felt comfortable taking Dexter there. He’s been day hospitalized since (Ive refused to leave him at night and they’ve been understanding) and currently being tested for Cushing. Both Drs have been very sensitive and compassionate to both our needs. Animal Hospitals especially after hours normally equals lots of money. Not here, They’ve been very fair with me on pricing. Highly recommend!

This is the best animal hospital I have ever been to. I have a dog that takes medicine for seizures and he was acting like he was in pain for some reason. I called multiple vets and was told that I had to recall at 8AM the next day to get a same day appointment if I wanted my dog seen. I was told if I needed him seen that night I would have to go to an emergency vet hospital (way more expensive). I called Dix Animal Hospital 30 minutes before they closed and told them what was happening. I was able to get him in right before they closed and they happily stayed hours after their normal business hours to ensure my dog was well taken care for. They ran tests that other vets were unwilling to and explained all the results in a way that has been unmatched by any other. I felt like I understood what was happening to my dog. They did not charge me for everything that they should have. I walked out paying hundreds of dollars less that I expected to. For all these reasons I will not take any of my animals to any other vet. They treat your pets like a part of the family and truly care about them in a way you can not find anywhere else. Thank you Dix Animal Hospital.

Heartbroken after putting her cat to sleep the receptionist was rude and impatient towards my aunts questions about the bill to the point where I had to ask her to please understand that my aunt was an distraught elderly woman that just lost cat that was also her best friend. He takes the time to explain my dog's illness and treatment options, and never gave me sense that I was asking too many questions or that he may have other appointments waiting. And finally he knows what the heck he is doing !!!!!!!!! My english Bull dog had a hard time breathing. He diagnosed his condition & performed a simple procedure to fix it. My Dog can breath like 50 times better.So He is darn good at what he does!!!!!!!

I just rescued a kitten from a craigslist home and he was dirty, an eye infection and come to find out, he got a parasite. Dr. Chad and nurse Sue took care of Elliot amazingly and another nurse even jumped my car because it would not start when I went to leave. Every one is so caring. His exam and shots were only $55. They are very cheap and affordable. His medication for his eye and tummy were another $35. I think that this vet was the best choice for me to take my little boy. I would recommend this vet to everyone. Elliot thanks everyone to even know she had to get shots. He really liked nurse sue.

My family and I have been using Dix Animal Hospital for our pets since we moved to Downriver, three years ago. We moved here about a year back after visiting to other vets in downriver area. One of our dogs had a weird medical condition that none of the other vets seemed able to diagnose or treat. Dix Animal Hospital recognized that our dog had ‘mange mite’ an unusual skin infection and treated him right away. We were so impressed!This is a really awesome animal hospital and staff is friendly, helpful, quick to recommend products and services that your pet needs. They are also helpful in keeping you to your budget.
