Had a mother dog with a puppy possibly stuck. Receptionist was cold like she didn't even care. I'm new to the area so hadn't found a vet yet. Instead of asking the vet she said no new appointments and that was it. Animal clinic of muskegon was one hundred percent friendlier and actually cared about my animal. They went above and beyond to get my dog seen unlike this "animal hospital".

I’d give them a higher rating if I could. My mom went into the hospital and I ended up taking care of her animals. One of her dogs suddenly couldn’t move her legs. I took her to their regular vet who failed to answer any question or give potential causes. He rudely referred me to a neurologist in Ann Arbor without even calling ahead. The fee in Ann Arbor was $3200 just to diagnose. I almost went but After sitting in the car with the doggie and I decided to get a second opinion. Luckily I landed on this wonderful receptionist, Trish, and was able to see this wonderful female vet, Dr Forbush (sp?) and her assistant Rachel. Trish the receptionist made this all happen without any notice and without even knowing me. The doctor fully examined her, not like the other vet, and walked through all the possibilities and outcomes, none of which looked great given recovery duration and age of the dog. With tears in the eyes of the doctor Rachel and myself, we made the decision to euthanize this sweet little girl. They were so kind and respectful and all gave me the hug I so desperately needed at that moment. Forever grateful!!! True kindness.

She has guided me through decisions I have had to make and then comforted me, afterwards. The entire staff treat my babies with the care and compassion, as if, they are their own. We switched to Lakeshore Animal Hospital after we were misdiagnosed at a different vet and I wish we would have gone with Lakeshore from the beginning. We had heard that Lakeshore was more expensive than other vets but they were very comparable to the other local animal clinics. Plus, when we were having major stomach issues with our lab, they would call us daily and did not make us come in for an office visit for everything, which saved us money. They are so accessible, knowledgeable and caring. I am confident we are in great hands and know that our lab is well taken care of.

Two weeks ago today at 8:30 Am I thought it was the last time I held my bully Princess...she was very sick and I didn't have an appointment but was very willing to wait as long as it took they took the time to see her as they could see she was in trouble, I'd say about a minute after the Dr looked at her and went to write up something my princess girl passed out I was so sad my thoughts were she had just died in my arms..I opened the door crying for help and they came running and helpped my baby girl and got her back to my side. She is not the same dog she is a 9 year old English Bulldog. She is loved. She is old and suffers CHF...we will take whatever time we can get together thanks to Dr Ingrid!!..THANK YOU!!!... paws!!

I brought my newly adopted 4 yr. old Maltese "Hailey" in for a wellness check and vaccine updates. Everyone was so nice and I know Hailey will be in good hands here for all of her future needs. A relaxed friendly atmosphere with thorough examination and all needs covered and questions answered. I have never felt at ease like I have here..and never have we been invited to just drop in to visit and be like family! In spite of probing and injections, Hailey never got upset...and she is usually skittish around strangers..she must know you care:) Thank you..everybody!

These folks misdiagnosed my dog and he died. I will never go there again or send anyone there. My dog was sick so they said maybe he had a doggie flu - no tests, nothing. Prescribed antibiotics. A few days later he was still sick - diarrhea and throwing up and not drinking. They said he was probably now just allergic to the anti-biotics, stop them and come back in a few days. Well I was stupid and trusted that a vet would know what they are doing. When I came back in a few days later they said he was about to die they are very sorry and wanted hundreds more dollars to put our 2 year old purebred down. I said no, he could die in my arms, and the young vet told me to never come back there again. He died. A few days later the owner-vet called to apologize but no refund, no compensation, and nothing will bring my dog back. Yes, now I know I should have known better than to listen to them so it is my fault too but that place is dangerous and I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to care for your pet.

They are willing to work with you for all of your needs and you leave feeling extremely satisfied with the service you received. Our cat, Bug, first went to Lakeshore Animal Hospital with very little body fat, a dry nose, and a miserable disposition. They found some serious problems with her teeth and were able to do an incredible job restoring her to a healthy happy kitty. They gave us a very accurate estimate for oral surgery that they were able to stick to post surgery. They called us to check on our cat, and we were asked to bring her back a week later just to check on how she was healing...free of charge. Today our cat is healthy and happy, thanks to their care. I truly believe they love animals, are very professional, knowledgeable, and wonderful! I highly recommend Lakeshore Animal Hospital.

It was the hardest thing ive had to do, but it was for the best, he isnt in pain anymore. I couldnt have asked for any better care than he received with you. She has guided me through decisions I have had to make and then comforted me, afterwards. The entire staff treat my babies with the care and compassion, as if, they are their own. I have not found a vet or staff that I trust as much as the people at lakeshore animal hospital! You can tell they truly care for your animal. I moved to the east side of the state and still come back...

We switched to Lakeshore Animal Hospital after we were misdiagnosed at a different vet and I wish we would have gone with Lakeshore from the beginning. We had heard that Lakeshore was more expensive than other vets but they were very comparable to the other local animal clinics. Plus, when we were having major stomach issues with our lab, they would call us daily and did not make us come in for an office visit for everything, which saved us money. They are so accessible, knowledgeable and caring. I am confident we are in great hands and know that our lab is well taken care of.

Two weeks ago today at 8:30 Am I thought it was the last time I held my bully Princess...she was very sick and I didn't have an appointment but was very willing to wait as long as it took they took the time to see her as they could see she was in trouble, I'd say about a minute after the Dr looked at her and went to write up something my princess girl passed out I was so sad my thoughts were she had just died in my arms..I opened the door crying for help and they came running and helpped my baby girl and got her back to my side. She is not the same dog she is a 9 year old English Bulldog. She is loved. She is old and suffers CHF...we will take whatever time we can get together thanks to Dr Ingrid!!..THANK YOU!!!... paws!!

I brought my newly adopted 4 yr. old Maltese "Hailey" in for a wellness check and vaccine updates. Everyone was so nice and I know Hailey will be in good hands here for all of her future needs. A relaxed friendly atmosphere with thorough examination and all needs covered and questions answered. I have never felt at ease like I have here..and never have we been invited to just drop in to visit and be like family! In spite of probing and injections, Hailey never got upset...and she is usually skittish around strangers..she must know you care:) Thank you..everybody!

These folks misdiagnosed my dog and he died. I will never go there again or send anyone there. My dog was sick so they said maybe he had a doggie flu - no tests, nothing. Prescribed antibiotics. A few days later he was still sick - diarrhea and throwing up and not drinking. They said he was probably now just allergic to the anti-biotics, stop them and come back in a few days. Well I was stupid and trusted that a vet would know what they are doing. When I came back in a few days later they said he was about to die they are very sorry and wanted hundreds more dollars to put our 2 year old purebred down. I said no, he could die in my arms, and the young vet told me to never come back there again. He died. A few days later the owner-vet called to apologize but no refund, no compensation, and nothing will bring my dog back. Yes, now I know I should have known better than to listen to them so it is my fault too but that place is dangerous and I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to care for your pet.

They are willing to work with you for all of your needs and you leave feeling extremely satisfied with the service you received. Our cat, Bug, first went to Lakeshore Animal Hospital with very little body fat, a dry nose, and a miserable disposition. They found some serious problems with her teeth and were able to do an incredible job restoring her to a healthy happy kitty. They gave us a very accurate estimate for oral surgery that they were able to stick to post surgery. They called us to check on our cat, and we were asked to bring her back a week later just to check on how she was healing...free of charge. Today our cat is healthy and happy, thanks to their care. I truly believe they love animals, are very professional, knowledgeable, and wonderful! I highly recommend Lakeshore Animal Hospital.
