I have been going here for quite awhile and have referred family! All of the staff is so great and compassionate. The place is clean and modern compared to places I've been in the past. Even after I had taken my dog to the vet ER in Ann Arbor after hours, they still called me asking how he was doing and to let them know if he needed a follow up. My family and I LOVE our vet and her team! Our Great Dane Bella had her puppies and the vet and her team were so supportive and made sure if we needed anything that they were there for us! I called her as soon as the puppies were born and they scheduled us right in for a litter check up. Also when our Great Dane bear cut his side. They got him right in for surgery. Nice staff but it takes more than nice manners to be a good veterinary service. On hold for almost five minutes until I gave up. Had a simple question that would have taken less than a minute to answer. The courteous thing to do would have been to apologize after a couple of minutes and let me know I was less important than what she was doing. This is the second vet we have taken our cat to in the area, and it's safe to say that we will not be going anywhere else after today. We called yesterday about our cats swollen paw, and got an appointment for today already. All the people we dealt with were nice, explained everything really well, and our cat who is normally the shyest around was handled with so much care. I have been going going to Ark Animal Clinic for many years the doctor and the staff are wonderful I had to have two of my animals put to sleep and they were very kind and loving very gentle caring people after I had lost my dog and my cat who I love very much they found me two new babies to take care of a new puppy and a new kitten I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone the care is impeccable the gentle caring doctor and staff are terrific Read Less

I first met Dr Pogarch when my camping buddy Rosie took ill, she was my buddy up north, and was obnoxious as all get out when I started to load up for a trip. She was really something else when i would leave without her. She became ill and could not walk, and throwing up bile. Dr Pogarch took great car of both of us. Rosie was sick and there was not a lot of options. I drove home in tears but knew we made the right choice. I know make the ride to Ark to have my boys taken care of. The staff, the facility, and the care are all top notch! Very much worth the drive I will not trust the boys to anyone but Ark. Read Less

Woohoo! FINALLY! A place I can get my dog groomed that doesn't completely suck!I have a shih-tzu, who is not a big fan of getting groomed. After lots of failed attempts, we started having our dog sedated in order to get him groomed every few months.After having some dismal experiences with another animal hospital, I decided to find a new clinic that offered sedated grooming.I browsed their website, which is pretty nice looking and thorough considering most animal care websites are not very user-friendly.I called in and spoke to a wonderful receptionist who set me up with a 2 part appointment. He'd have the doc take a look at the dog, make sure everything was okay, and as long as they signed off, we could have our dog groomed that day while the groomer was in.My husband said that the staff was helpful, nice, and no-fuss. He spoke with the doctor as well as the groomer, and they said they'd take a shot at grooming him without any meds, and would dose as necessary to get the job done.While our dog was in their care, they had called a few times letting us know the status and cofirming that it was okay to increase his sedation as needed.Once he was done, they called and let us know he was awake- and gave us a specific time to come pick him up.They called the next day just to make sure the dog was doing okay after his long day at the vet. Dr. Tara is absolutely amazing! She is truly a compassionate, understanding, knowledgable, and dedicated doctor. She cares about all her four legged patients as if they were her own. What I respect most about Dr. Tara is her honesty and integrity. She understands the added expense our fur babies add to our lives so she explains all the options available while differentiating between what has to be done, what should be done, and what can wait.
