I'm surprised at all the positive reviews of this veterinary clinic. I was initially very impressed when I came in the doors; this is a nice clinic and things seemed relatively clean. However, even upon check-in, the office staff seemed cold and unfriendly which made me feel a bit uneasy. None the less, I was still hopeful as again, the office seemed nice. I came here for a service my regular vet couldn't preform. I was willing to pay the higher price (this clinic is exceptionally higher than most) to get done what needed to be done for my pets health. Dr. Mallory was who we ended up seeing and I can honestly say she was the worst vet I have ever encountered. She showed no compassion towards what my pet and I were going through and seemed so money oriented. She kept rambling on and on about things. She wanted us to spend over $1000 for a surgery that she was only slightly sure about (she kept contradicting herself). I honestly felt like she just saw my pet as an experiment and just wanted to cut her open; regardless of what was best for my pet. Maybe the other vets here are good. Maybe the office staff was having an off day. All these things are understandable. But I will NEVER go back here. Just like for doctors I visit myself, I look for the same for my pet. Do they show compassion for what you're going through? Are they listening to you? Do they actually know what they're talking about? Are they trying to ensure you are receiving the best care possible? All of these things proved to not be true here . Also, it should be noted that we have seen two more vets for second opinions since we came here and while both of them agreed with each other, they were shocked when we told them what the vet here had said and wanted to do. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Schultz and his entire staff!! I would tell any and all my friends to go there. Dr. Schultz helped to diagnose our dog that had been misdiagnosed and had surgeries elsewhere. He was kind, gentle, and incredible with both our dog and our family. Our other dog started having issues with her eyes and he instantly knew what was wrong by the picture I showed him and he worked us into his schedule to get us there immediately. Another veterinarian diagnosed our puppy with a heart murmur. This could have justified euthanasia, but my wife and I were not satisfied with the answer. Dr Schultz listened to the little guy's heart and said, "There's nothing wrong with him. The other vet should have known what to listen for." We take all our business to Schultz now. Read Less

We were blown away by the professionalism, patience, and outstanding service we received. While they specialize in reproductive health, we chose them for their phenomenal routine care. Dr. Malinak and the clinic team provided us with some of the best customer service we've ever had. She answered all of our questions and actually showed us/gave us tips on things we could do at home (like how to clip his nails). Schultz is a great vet that specializes in reproduction. I learn so much from him every time I have an appointment. He explains things in detail with an entertaining flare that makes it easy to remember. I especially liked the fact that I can walk in the back and be a part of a T.C.I. or other procedures that are being done on my dog. He never rushes while we have the appointment, and there is never a long wait time in the office either. Very professional staff and clean office. I would highly recommend him. I drive about 1 1/2 hrs each way for our appointments and it is worth it. Read Less

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr Schultz and his staff. They've delivered at least 30 of our puppies over the last 8 years and have always done an amazing job! They have also been very compassionate when we've needed it. They are very knowledgeable, have modern equipment, and he takes the time with you to explain the process and what's going on with your pet. I 100% trust Dr. Schultz's judgement. I have 4 dogs and have been taking them to Dr Schultz for about 5 years - first I went for a second opinion on my husky who was seen at a nearby Haslett vet clinic - I was impressed so much by Dr Schultz's diagnosis - but continued at the Haslett vet - meanwhile I have gotten a rescue dog with many problems - wrong diagnosis and no treatment at the Haslett vet - I took him to Dr Schultz for a second opinion - this time I wisely continued with him - he cured the dog - although one reviewer said that Schultz clinic was more expensive than others - I can't agree with that - the Haslett clinic had the same prices with poor service - I am so impressed that Dr Schultz always opts for the lesser treatment first (if called for - such as "rest" and "watch")  - will prescribe "home remedies" when appropriate as when my swimming dog had many ear problems - his remedy kept her ears infection free - and finally gives you script so you can buy medications if cheaper at the local pharmacy - Haslett clinic would not do this - and store pharmacies give free antibiotics to dogs as well as people! I have seen the other vets at times and have liked them too. I recommend Schultz Vet Clinic to everyone who is particular about their dog care and I would never go to another vet. Read Less

First off the vets at Schultz are fantastic!I have been to vets all around the Lansing area worried about my sick cat.  It turns out it was easily treatable they just needed to listen to my input and make an evaluation.  Dr. Mallory worked with me thru several levels of treatments and now we have a healthly happy feline.You might pay a few extra dollars, but its likely money you will save in the long run, due to the high quality of service you'll receive. Dr. Malinak is really the best vet my wife and I have ever had for our cats and dog. She's kind, considerate, very clear and genuinely concerned for the well-being of our pets.The office is clean, and there is always plenty of parking. It's usually pretty easy to get a same-day appointment, too, for emergencies.Great place to take your pets! Read Less
