When our Elbie took a very sudden turn for the worse last week, PVM was everything we needed. They were able to see her same-day, even though at that time we were new patients. In the subsequent days the team was sure to follow up and made sure Elbie got in for further treatment when it was necessary. The front desk and vet techs have all been so kind and understanding and as encouraging as it was reasonable to be in a very scary and tough time. Jess reminded us to take it one step at a time and that has been really helpful for me as we continue to learn what the new normal will look like. Dr. Gorbea and Kaitlin have both spent time making sure our questions are answered and we understand the plan. Thankfully things are turning around. We're not out of the woods yet, but I am comfortable placing full trust for Elbie's well-being in the hands of Dr. Gorbea, Kaitlin, Jess, Shauna, and Julie. All of our fur babies see Dr. Vyvian & the great staff at PVH. Their concern is always obvious. Recently, we had Merry at the emergency clinic on Sunday night and Dr. V reached out to us a few hours later to check up to see how Merry was doing. Well I am glad to see that some people like this vet. 3 years ago I had just moved in to Plymouth and my beloved cat of 14 years needed to be put down. I looked online and chose this vet because it was close to my house and I didn't want to stress my poor baby any more than she already was since she hated riding in the car. I called to make and appointment and they quoted me a price of just under $200 to have her put down. I thought this a little high but went there anyway. When I get there with my cat who was in distress and having trouble breathing they tell me that they misquoted the price and it would now be over $300!!!! I am beside myself with grief because I am losing my baby and they hit me with this?!?!? I will never forget this. I do believe she had passed even before they gave her the shot. I absolutely love Dr. Gorbea and her staff. I have been their client since she bought the business many years ago. They are knowledgeable and compassionate. My dogs have gotten nothing but the best treatment there. They never push anything on me and not only respect my decisions to be more conservative, but work with me to find the best ways to treat my dogs in a conservative manner. They also truly love animals and treat them with love an affection. I have had dogs most of my life and have always had to drag them to the vet. Since I started bringing my dogs here, they literally drag me in with their tails wagging. I know one person said they are expensive and I suppose they are, but I believe it is a, "get what you pay for," thing. How much is your pet's health and well being worth to you? My poor little guy needed his teeth cleaned badly and having a bad experience with a previous veterinarian who overmedicated my three dogs in one day, and left tarter on their teeth, I was desperately seeking a staff of people I could trust. My cat had a tumor that surfaced and broke open and she needed emergency surgery. Dr. G and her staff got her in and took care of everything. Very friendly and caring staff that i would recommend to anyone. I called around to other vets for her surgery and they all wanted nearly double the amount of money for the same surgery.
