You have a choice where you bring your pet, your pet’s life depends on it! Dr(?) Ballou killed my dog. Bloomfield Pointe Veterinarian Hospital’s incompetence of removing a tumor, completely, lead to more tumors 4 months later. The surgery was the sloppiest surgery I have ever seen, it was like he used a dual butter knife to preform. After picking my dog up and carrying her home, I received a voicemail that stated they gave me another patient’s prescription but that I should still give it to her as instructed on the bottle (I’m sorry Shaun Tucker, I hope your dog “Danger” is okay…. Not sure whose medicine you received or what hippa violations where made of me having your info) *note, the numbers of pills inside the bottle was also incorrect. I trusted Bloomfield Pointe Veterinarian Hospital. If you’re a malpractice lawyer reading this; I did archive the voicemail and kept the wrong subscribed medicines and pill bottles. I just couldn’t stomach the pain and grief this steered up in my heart, perusing a lawsuit. I have to live with the fact that I trusted this veterinarian, I forced a medicine on my puppy and then had to watch her body react and then die from it. Furthermore, when malpractice was mentioned, Dr Ballou chuckled and said, “you’re not going to get what you think your pet is worth, I don’t pay legal fees and they would just pro rate the life of your dog. I get threats like this all of the time…” Some one needs to take action on a veterinarian that hurts pets so often that they get threatened of lawsuits all the time and have no fear of the repercussions of their incompetence and carelessness. I digress, and truly hope you do your homework in choosing your veterinarian. There are good, pet loving Doctors out there. Please choose one of them. Respectfully, Matthew DeVos Read Less

DO NOT take your pet to Dr. Tirmizi. I have been taking my dog there to see Dr. B. for ongoing seasonal skin issues. Dr. Tirmizi had us in for a follow up today and my concern was him giving my 92 pound Rottweiler an injection without a muzzle. He insisted and I was almost bit several times. It was chaos. I refused to keep fighting my dog alone and said I would just like her skin medication refill for now. Dr Tirmizi shouted at me to leave and refused to give me the medication that we came for. He has no patience and obviously does not want to be there. I was told they had a muzzle and he only had a small blue rope to tie her to a pole which did not work. My dog would not get out of my truck upon returning home because of the traumatic situation. Read Less

I do not recommend this place based on their horrible customer service. I called into the office and asked when the best time to bring my dog in for a pregnancy test was. I told the person who answered the phone when my dog was bred and they told me that I could bring her in on Dec 20th for the test. I send my husband into the office and he called me to tell me that the vet didn't even know why she was there. He said the vet walked in and said "why is she here is she sick", when all she was there for was a blood draw. He kind of just shook it off and we continued with the appointment. MY HUSBAND had to hold our dog while the blood was being drawn, and when the brought him back the results the vet tech told him that she was negative HOWEVER there is a margin of error before 25 days. This really irked me because if they had just told me that when I booked the appointment I would have waited until she was over the margin for error. I called into the office and got a return call from one of the vets ( I dont remember his name). I tried to explain to him why I was frustrated and he kept just repeating back to me that the test CAN pick up pregnancy as early as 18 days but that in his 'clinical experience' it can be a false negative between 18 to 25 days post breeding. I repeated that I felt I should have been told this when I booked the appointment and he just kept repeating what he originally said. He then stated that "I have the right to ignore the negative test". Uh what? No the whole reason I wanted the test was to know with SCIENCE if she is pregnant! If I was going to go singularly based on her behavior I would never have paid $80 for a freaking blood draw! I said "I understand but" and as I tried to reword myself for the 4th time he cut me off and said "You keep saying you understand but I don't think you do". WOW. At this point my fuse was so short I told him that he had HORRIBLE customer service and that he needed to stop talking over me. AS I AM ASKING him to stop talking over me he started to talk over me again. I ended up saying a few choice words and hanging up. At the end of the day all I wanted was an "I'm sorry in the future we will definitely inform our customer", and maybe give me a couple dollars off the next test since at this point I need to repeat it since there is a Margin for error. Talking over me and overall being unprofessional is not the way to go. Read Less

My dog was neglected while boarding at this vet, to the point of abuse. Over the course of 20 years while the business was under the management of Dr. Timizi our family took two successive dogs to this practice for veterinary, grooming and boarding services. On May 28, 2021 my mother and I dropped our dog Cecile off for a week of boarding. We also paid, in advance, for her to be groomed and to receive her monthly allergy shot. Cecile has ongoing special needs due to a skin condition and had been under Bloomfield Point Veterinary’s care for eight years. Dr. Timizi was there when we dropped the dog off on May 28, though there was some confusion about who would groom the dog because they suddenly didn’t have a groomer. This was the first indication that something was amiss with the business. Before leaving we were assured all of Cecile’s needs would be met including her allergy shot, daily medicine for her skin and her groom even if the doctor had to do them himself. When my mom returned on June 7, 2021 for Cecile’s scheduled pick up the skin on her legs was raw from self inflicted scratching. An indication that she had likely not received her allergy shot or her daily medicine. It was also apparent that she had not been bathed. My mother was told that Dr. Timizi had sold the practice to a Dr. Ballou. My mother asked why Cecile’s legs were in the state that they were in and questioned the new doctor on when she supposedly received the services we paid for in advance. She also asked for a copy of Cecile’s medical records. This request was followed up upon by phone a few days later. A week on and we still have not received a copy of Cecile’s records, suffice to say we need them because we will never take her or any animal back to this practice again. Read Less

Just got my dog back today. He was there since last monday. So a week. I called to check on him. I was told. Oh hes doing great. Hes eating and everything. I get there today, and i first noticed he seemed tired.. almost sick. Not as happy to see me as a 11 month old pit should be, and when i reached down to pet him he cowered down all the way to his elbows. Practically laid his whole front down.. next on the way home i spotted blood on my jeans. Started checking him out. One of his nostrils was bleeding, and he had busted blood vessels in his eyes.. he also looked like he lost 10 pounds. Ribs showing and all.. get him home, and immediately goes for his food. He only eats about a cup of food a day. He completely destroys somewhere between 4 and 5 cups.. right after he seem to have more energy. I was raised with Pitts. Correctly raised pitts. Been around other ones that were raised differently, and i know my dog.. no question he was not eating, and no question someone hit him.. which is the number one no no with a pitt.. unsure how im gonna handle this yet! But im not happy.. and just mad!

Read Less

The Dr. is awful and rough with pets. He has a difficult accent and does not explain things. He wants to charge you a lot of money for minimal services, calls you back repeatedly for expensive unnecessary visits (about $60+), and won't give you a solid price for the services or explain the necessity of the services clearly. Save your time, money and head ache. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Read Less
