I agree with Dale. DON'T GIVE THEM A DIME! Mrs Sampson is VERY rude and insensitive. Made arrangements to have my dog put down. I called to tell her I was on my way and 20 minutes later I show up and she says "The Doctor is gone! You called at 8:15 and it's 8:35!" as she's putting on her coat and turning out the lights. The Doctor was standing outside in front of his house, looked at me and walked to his barn. Truly jaw dropping! Very awkward coming home to the family with the dog after everyone said their good byes. There seems to be an emotional disconnect with the lady. Then the doctor calls me to tell me about his problems with other customers calling him in the middle of night, ECT. His problems are not my concern. But my problems with my pet are his. That his JOB! I'm the customer here. I have a dying fog that is suffering. It's obviously an emotional situation. I'm going to loose my friend of 15 years and that's what I'm greeted with. I should have known better after my wife brought our little dog in to put him down after he got hit by a car. Was supposed to be $30. Well he convinced her he could save him with some minor surgery. Which was BS. He died on the table and slapped us with a $1200 bill! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE. Read Less

I went with my ex to take my senior dog to this monster because my ex is a drunk and forces women to have sex with him and he and his meth head loser son stole from me and cost me so much money I couldn’t afford my dogs needs when age kicked in. One reason he is my ex is he bad mouthed me to everyone especially women considering I also learned he was a sneak, liar and cheater. He is a severe alcoholic and the years of drinking have caught up with him. I learned this guy was notorious for bad mouthing his women and collecting women to gossip with. The first time I ever met this vet he and that Janet spent at least a half an hour bad mouthing Gaide. Neither of them gave the dog any attention. They never said hi, made her comfortable, petted her...nothing. I even said she was nervous. He never asked us anything about her nor WHY WE BROUGHT HER! He doesn’t know that the alcoholic can’t remember anything or retain anything. This guy nit picked everything about the paperwork Gaide’s faxed. The two of them did nothing but slam them. I finally said, “you sure don’t like Gaide” and even that didn’t clue in on any RESPECTABLE PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR. Knowing my ex the way I do it became very clear he bad mouthed me to them. I finally went out to the vehicle after about 45 minutes. I was completely turned off! I have never dealt with this at Gaide’s. Over an hour and a half. This wacko didn’t address anything we brought her there for and wasted time telling the drunk things I ALREADY KNEW and could have been addressed if they would have been professional. She has a mass on her beast. That was MISSED! So much for this great vet. He tried to talk to the drunk about “glomerular” function of kidneys. It’s nice he educates but there was a reason I was there. They were also told she needed a thyroid level done. He called and asked if we needed to reschedule it because she ate and had her pill. They said it was fine. No thyroid level was done. After an hour and a half.....of doing NOTHING but talking with my poor dog ignored on the floor on her leash I was trying to get the drunk to move it along at least for the dog. I heard this wacko talking way over his head. I said, that was why I was there, he won’t get any of that or remember it which he did admit to. I finally realized what I was seeing and said, it’s clear you had mouthed me to them and he couldn’t wait to show me and all of a sudden that big mouthed vet shut his mouth and never spoke again nor looked up. Ya you may think things are great if he is nice to you but there is truly nice and professional and not and these two were both nothing BUT RUDE. They believed a drunk that has bad mouthed every woman he has been with because he cheats and lies and his women get sick of him. Gaide’s is a far better vet and their BUSINESS compared to this guy’s LACK OF speaks for itself. Not one customer that whole hour and a half of that man yapping and the two of them slamming Gaide’s. It is unprofessional to bad mouth another business and we all know it is compensation. That guy can “talk your ear off” and maybe even impress you using all his uncalled for medical terms to laymen....I am a nurse....another reason I went. The ex KNEW HE NEEDED ME THERE. My ex tried to bad mouth me at another vet and they said that will NOT happen there. So that says a lot for this place. Apparently he lacks cooth....what kind of man goes around bad mouthing his women.....especially women he cheated on. Ya....Samson you know nothing. This was NO VET VISIT! We didn’t take her for heartowrm check or pills. I Keep my dogs on ivermectin which he was rude about and all he did was a heart worm check and the drunk completely forgot why we took her.....this is how he is.....I know him much better than this guy. So he dogged me for the ivermectin which many people know about but guess what? No heart worms.....ya I already knew that! Sometimes people that talk too much are compensating. Awful people!! We used to take my childhood dog there for years. I have my own dog now and he is almost a year and we live now in Ann Arbor but are in process of moving back. He got into some Decon mouse poison at 7pm at night and they wouldn't see him. I could not believe it! I am 2 miles down the road and they turned my poisoned dog and I away. And they never really were that great with my childhood dog. Just were down the road from my the house. AGAIN FIND A NEW VET!! Read Less

My friend went there a week ago to get a tooth pulled out of his 9 yr old yorkie after he wasnt sure his first shot worked he pushed another shot into his paw killing the dog instantly never even sayin im sorry he is a murderer Read Less

Dr. Mason is a very caring doctor. He helped me through saying goodbye to my companion of over 15 years. He took the time to show me that it was time and I was making the right decision for my sweet boy Fozie which was immensely helpful. Thank you again Doctor.Read Less

Well it has been 8 months now since my dog lost his life right in front a of my eyes at this place! All I can say is that if he wasn't familiar with treating my dog for a certain thing he should have told me and I would have went elsewhere. I should have listened to my gut when he got out a book and started reading it about his condition. I know he didn't mean to do it but that was my first and last trip I will ever make there. Both doc an his wife are great. He's always been great with all our animals and is very caring. He explains everything an is always ready to answer questions. We know we can reach him anytime if it's an emergency. Our dogs are part of our family an we we know they are getting the best of care with him. I would recommend him to everyone. Read Less

We are so grateful for Dr. & Mrs. Samson. They have loved and cared for several of our babies over the years. Both are there for you whenever needed. They have woke up in the middle of the night to take care of our pets, not only because they love animals, but because they have such beautiful hearts and know what they mean to us. We tell everyone, they aren't just our Vet, they are our friends, and we are proud to have them as both. Also Dr. Samson is very good about including the owners in the care.
