Brought our sick kitten here one night around 11 pm. The staff was prompt, attentive, and truly caring. They were able to work with us to find cost effective treatment, gave straight answers as to our kittens condition, and were patient with us even through the stress of having a sick pet. Would highly recommend.
UPDATE: The staff even followed up with a beautiful, handwritten card after having to make the difficult choice to put our kitten down. Cannot express the quality of service enough.

We brought our kitten here in the middle of the night two nights ago. The staff and doctor were incredibly kind and understanding. They took the time to explain what was happening and what the different options going forward were. The vet technician Stephanie was particularly helpful and caring. She sat with us and answered all of our questions. I am so thankful that we brought her here for care, they treated her with dignity and respect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing emergency care for their animals.

The staff was so caring and took amazing care of our one year old sick lab. We took him to our local vet before hand and we were told he needed possible emergency surgery for an obstruction in his intestines. The doctors at AEC knew right away that he was super dehydrated and kept him over night to give him fluids before moving forward with any type of surgery. He came home the next morning good as new and was one happy boy! Very pleased with the service we received at AEC!! Thank you so much!

Had a great experience bringing my dog in at 4am. The place was attentive, caring, clean, and on duty vet was very informative . They took good care of my Dalmatian with her overnight stay. All the necessary medications were given with great instructions at discharge. They even followed up with a next day phone call which was so thoughtful. Although it was pricey I was pleased with the services. But what do you expect at 4am? I would use them again if needed. Highly recommend them in emergent situation.

I have not yet dealt with the ER vets at this location but recently had my cat treated by one of the vet cardiologists that work from this and the Novi location and they were great - can't speak highly enough. Transparent fees. Compassionate & professional care. I know my cat's prognosis not good but at least in great hands. I first had to take my kitty to a different vet ER and it was a terrible experience. I can tell you from direct, recent experience that the prices I'm seeing people post that they were charged are actually quite reasonable if not cheap for a vet ER. If my pets need to go to the ER I will be going here based on my experience with the vet cardiologists.

My cat of 15yrs was having trouble breathing, I brought him here, they immediately took him gave him oxygen and did an exray, it showed he had a hole in his lung and unfortunately the prognosis wasn't good. I told the Veterinarian I wanted so much to hold him and say my goodbye, Heather told me she could extract air from his cavity so I could hold him for awhile and he wouldn't struggle to breathe. Heather and the staff were just amazing. I was so thankful and grateful I was able to hold Scooter for awhile and say my goodbye, he was my best friend. I highly recommend this Emergency Center.

We used to take our dogs to Wilson for emergencies until we found this office where you will wait a fraction of the time, the staff is extremely friendly, it is generally cheaper, cleaner, and no one mixes your dog up with someone else's. I would highly recommend them for emergencies. In fact, we took my dog to Wilsons first for our last emergency, where they misdiagnosed her. Thankfully, I took her here the second time around where they kept her overnight to monitor her. Thank God I chose AEC the second time around or my baby would have lost her eye. They also kept me informed on how she was very frequently which helped calm my nerves as I've never had to leave my baby overnight for an emergency. As I said, highly recommended.

If I could give this place zero stars I would.
Took my 10 week old puppy in here over the weekend. Was told he has an ear infection and then was quoted $800. Now can someone please tell me why they would need to run a bunch of tests and blood work for a simple ear infection. We left with the medicine they prescribed my poor puppy and went home. Two days later we ended up going to our normal vet and was told our puppy had puppy strangles. Which is FAR from an ear infection. Took him home and started his steroids. Two days later my puppy is feeling so much better. I am so upset with how much this place quoted me for something that wasn't even a true diagnosis. I will never step foot in here again.

I brought my cat, Tigger, into this place with what looked like a urinary blockage. After reading some of the reviews I was apprehensive about the price, but I took a chance anyway.
I'm glad I did.
Turns out Tigger DID have a urinary blockage, and a bad one....but as someone whose finances were tight I wasn't sure what kind of treatment I would be able to afford.
The vet and techs on duty were incredibly gentle with Tigger and very open with us about the pricing of the procedures for the catheter, the labs and diagnosis, and the treatment options depending on whether he had a few crystals or actual stones in his kidneys. They gave him some medicine to help with his pain and relax him, which was awesome since he was already so scared. They gave us a breakdown of everything they would be doing and all the financial costs. In the end, though, even the most basic treatment was too expensive for us.
What they did next was wonderful. Truly and absolutely wonderful. They told us of another hospital that was known to be cheaper, faxed them Tiggers papers in advance, and recommended we take Tigger there for treatment. We then paid the office fee of $90 dollars and the added fee for the medicine they gave him for his pain, and went on our way to that other hospital.
To those people who claim this hospital is all about money, I say you couldn't be more wrong. When push came to shove, they cared more about my cat being healed, to the point where they recommended a cheaper place (and likely a competitor) instead. They put Tigger's welfare before possible profit. THAT is a hospital that cares. And it's that type of honest business practice that has now earned them a customer for future pet needs.
Thanks again, guys. I was able to get Tigger the care he needs because of your guidance. And I'm happy to report he's doing well and should be coming home soon.

We took our dog in there after he vomited, collapsed, and went unconscious at home. They immediately took him in to begin helping him as soon as we got there. The vets and techs were all very friendly...
We took our dog in there after he vomited, collapsed, and went unconscious at home. They immediately took him in to begin helping him as soon as we got there. The vets and techs were all very friendly and understanding of the scary situation we were in. After a 36-hour stay, our little guy came home in good spirits and has made a full recovery. I am so grateful for everyone here who helped diagnose and heal our dog. They gave us frequent updates on his situation, and encouraged us to call to check in on him throughout the day. Not only did they save my dog's life, they gave me as much peace of mind as possible while he was there.
While I hope to never have to go back to the emergency vet, I know that we'd be in good hands here.

They were able to work with us to find cost effective treatment, gave straight answers as to our kittens condition, and were patient with us even through the stress of having a sick pet. Would highly recommend.

The staff was so caring and took amazing care of our one year old sick lab. We took him to our local vet before hand and we were told he needed possible emergency surgery for an obstruction in his intestines. The doctors at AEC knew right away that he was super dehydrated and kept him over night to give him fluids before moving forward with any type of surgery. Heather and the staff were just amazing. I was so thankful and grateful I was able to hold Scooter for awhile and say my goodbye, he was my best friend. I highly recommend this Emergency Center.

We used to take our dogs to Wilson for emergencies until we found this office where you will wait a fraction of the time, the staff is extremely friendly, it is generally cheaper, cleaner, and no one mixes your dog up with someone else's. I would highly recommend them for emergencies. In fact, we took my dog to Wilsons first for our last emergency, where they misdiagnosed her. Thankfully, I took her here the second time around where they kept her overnight to monitor her. Thank God I chose AEC the second time around or my baby would have lost her eye. They also kept me informed on how she was very frequently which helped calm my nerves as I've never had to leave my baby overnight for an emergency. As I said, highly recommended.

we had a bunny emergency and this center could not have been better. extremely friendly people who all took their time to make sure that our pet was treated like a king and that we were well informed....

Took my 10 week old puppy in here over the weekend. Was told he has an ear infection and then was quoted $800. Now can someone please tell me why they would need to run a bunch of tests and blood work for a simple ear infection. We left with the medicine they prescribed my poor puppy and went home. Two days later we ended up going to our normal vet and was told our puppy had puppy strangles. Which is FAR from an ear infection. Took him home and started his steroids. Two days later my puppy is feeling so much better. I am so upset with how much this place quoted me for something that wasn't even a true diagnosis. I will never step foot in here again.

I brought my cat, Tigger, into this place with what looked like a urinary blockage. After reading some of the reviews I was apprehensive about the price, but I took a chance anyway.

Turns out Tigger DID have a urinary blockage, and a bad one....but as someone whose finances were tight I wasn't sure what kind of treatment I would be able to afford.
The vet and techs on duty were incredibly gentle with Tigger and very open with us about the pricing of the procedures for the catheter, the labs and diagnosis, and the treatment options depending on whether he had a few crystals or actual stones in his kidneys. They gave him some medicine to help with his pain and relax him, which was awesome since he was already so scared. They gave us a breakdown of everything they would be doing and all the financial costs. In the end, though, even the most basic treatment was too expensive for us.
What they did next was wonderful. Truly and absolutely wonderful. They told us of another hospital that was known to be cheaper, faxed them Tiggers papers in advance, and recommended we take Tigger there for treatment. We then paid the office fee of $90 dollars and the added fee for the medicine they gave him for his pain, and went on our way to that other hospital.
To those people who claim this hospital is all about money, I say you couldn't be more wrong. When push came to shove, they cared more about my cat being healed, to the point where they recommended a cheaper place (and likely a competitor) instead. They put Tigger's welfare before possible profit. THAT is a hospital that cares. And it's that type of honest business practice that has now earned them a customer for future pet needs.
Thanks again, guys. I was able to get Tigger the care he needs because of your guidance. And I'm happy to report he's doing well and should be coming home soon.

We took our dog in there after he vomited, collapsed, and went unconscious at home. They immediately took him in to begin helping him as soon as we got there. The vets and techs were all very friendly...
We took our dog in there after he vomited, collapsed, and went unconscious at home. They immediately took him in to begin helping him as soon as we got there. The vets and techs were all very friendly and understanding of the scary situation we were in. After a 36-hour stay, our little guy came home in good spirits and has made a full recovery. I am so grateful for everyone here who helped diagnose and heal our dog. They gave us frequent updates on his situation, and encouraged us to call to check in on him throughout the day. Not only did they save my dog's life, they gave me as much peace of mind as possible while he was there.
While I hope to never have to go back to the emergency vet, I know that we'd be in good hands here.
