Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital

Rockford, Michigan
General Info
Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital in Rockford establishes a participatory environment where pets and their owners engage in care through physical cues and energy shifts observed in Michigan homes. Examinations initiate through focused observation rather than physical contact. Staff examine micro-behaviors such as eye contact from animals along with breathing patterns in response to voices and their movement tendencies toward or away from motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The examination of a pet's skin, coat, and joints relies on the way it anchors its body or displays leaning and stiffening behaviors. The emergence of trust signals triggers sequential internal examinations including dental checks and abdominal scans alongside heart rhythm assessments. Owners deliver context by explaining changes in daily rhythms alongside new sounds their pets respond to and noting when walking or feeding routines started to shift. Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital delivers services ranging from initial life-stage assessments and diagnostic evaluations to energy equilibrium methods, dental health strategies, joint monitoring for aging pets, and disease-specific treatment plans. Timeframes vary based on behavior. A number of appointments progress rapidly due to unmistakable consent signals. A number of biological processes extend over long periods across distinct phases allowing animals sufficient time to understand each incremental step. Pets have access to designated quiet areas and pause zones where they can undergo recalibration before resuming activities. The focus of post-visit care shifts towards household translation work. What aspects of sleep require monitoring how to establish routines again and when to watch for silent signals such as family withdrawal appetite loss or spatial guarding. The monitoring of timing alongside symptoms becomes a recommended practice for owners. At what time does restlessness appear? During which daily period do hesitations reach their maximum frequency? Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital provides guidance to families in Rockford and nearby Michigan areas by recognizing behavior as a living signal which pets display not during crises but through every pause nudge and shift in their daily activities.

Brought a young labrador puppy age appropriate for being fixed. The experience and expertise was awful. The poor dog went thru a terrible process, surgery and recovery even requiring special emergency surgery thru another vet. This vet service did not even have contact information with the emergency service they used. The quality of the initial surgery was terrible and what was troubling is that the owner does not even take any responsibility for the quality and delivery of the supposed known surgery and customer experience. I worry the internal structural changes after the surgery will surface other issues down the road. I would never take a dog to the veterinary hospital again. Be very fearful and aware. Read Less

In November, 2016, my husband and I made the difficult decision to put our 11 year old dog down. He was diagnosed with cancer in June of that year. The staff and veterinarians were extremely kind and supportive to us during the whole ordeal. Dr. Klein sat on the floor of the exam room with me and my dog and talked me through the diagnosis. My dog weighed 62 pounds. We chose to have him cremated in a semi-private setting, so that we could bring him home. The euthanasia cost $119 (they calculate by weight), and the cremation cost $209, for a total of $328. The staff let us cry in the office until we were ready to drive home. We received a condolence card in the mail from the office, with all staffs signatures. Fast forward to January, 2017. There is no other place we would take our new puppy. They loved on her like she was their own puppy. The staff at Rogue Valley is kind, caring and knowledgeable. Love this place. A little on the expensive side, but worth every penny for a member of our family.Read Less

Don't trust them with your pet! You'll regret it! A dog twice my dogs size was allowed to maul my dog before intervention. What is more disturbing is that the puncture wound that runs up the mandible on the side of her face was left untreated for 8 hours! It breaks my heart that my dog had to endure 8 hours without treatment. At that point so much time had passed that stitches were no longer an option. When I took her to Blue Pearl Emergency Care she had to be given anesthesia so the doctor could SCRUB the wound while my dog slept. PLEASE!!! Went to this vet once about 6 years ago! She said my dog had blown his knee and needed surgery- she also said his other patella was "really loose" and she could feel it sliding all over the place. Mind you I went here as she was advertised as a "sports medicine vet". So she stated she could do the surgery and we could schedule it right away or give me a referral to a specialist. Thankfully I took the referral. Turns out the dog's patellas were FINE. The specialist even took xrays to be sure. There was nothing wrong with his knees- Specialist found an injured muscle in the groin area. I just want this out there that if you are told you need surgery get a 2nd opinion!Read Less

I am appalled by this vet. My husband and I had to make the difficult decision to put our dog down and were completely taken advantage of in regards to cost. They charged us $427, yes that's right..$427. It wasn't until the next day and talking with others that we realized we paid almost MORE THAN DOUBLE!! We even called around to 6 other vets in this area and the highest was around $250. Most of them were between $120 and $180. We contacted them about the price charged and cannot believe at their rudeness and lack of feelings regarding this. They said they don't like putting dogs down there and it was hard on their staff...really?!?!? How about, it's incredibly hard on the owners and even worse to be taken advantage of at such a vulnerable time. This is obviously a vet that would not make things right and continued to charge the $427 after speaking with them. We would never recommend this vet to anyone.Read Less

My 100+ lb huskie lost the use of his hind leg due to a failed hip displasia surgery at another clinic; I searched via the internet only to find 1 clinic using an aqua treadmill in western michigan. just 1 clinic. Champ had not used his leg for over 6 weeks and the muscles were almost atropied. After just 1 session with Dr. Comrie my dog was standing and putting weigh on his atropied leg. Dr. Comrie and her wonderful staff were able to get Champ back to bending his knee, then placing his paw down and ultimately walking safely up stairs. The aqua therapy on the threadmill reduced the weigh burden on his leg while his nervous system re-programmed so that he could again control his hind legs. We had been told to amputate... but, it's been 3 wonderful years since rehadbilation with Dr. Comrie and Champ is still climbing those stairs. The inflammation has went down significantly so you can only imagine what it looked like the day we picked them up. Rouge Valley has taken no responsibility for the condition they left our pets in. I highly recommend you do your research before boarding with Rouge Valley or using them as your Veterinarian.

PLEASE!!! Don't let your fur baby be the next victim like my dog!Read Less

I am very leery about all vets but Rogue Valley made me at ease. Unfortunately we had to put our cat down but they did everything possible to save him. Dr. Fuller didn't give us false hope. She gave us sympathy in our decision. When i had to say goodbye to Simba she reassured me it was the right thing to do. We didn't want to see him suffer anymore. The staff was understanding and they have such beautiful hearts. I just recieved a sympathy card for our loss. I want to thank them for such kind words.

If you have any doubt of what's possible, please meet with Dr. Comrie. Read Less
