such an amazing team. We just moved to the area and did not have a vet, we found a big lump on our dog Saturday, called on Monday and by Tuesday our dog was being looked at. She ended up needed surgery and by Thursday she had the operation. It turned out to be lymphoma , Dr Sharma was confident he got the whole thing out. He referred us to a doggy oncologist and sat down with us to discuss the situation. Anytime we needed something they were wonderful for getting us in right away! We unfortunately had to have my cat euthanized. He was 17 and in kidney failure. The staff was incredibly sympathetic with us and the doctor was very gentle with my kitty. The guy vet is a jerk and literally charged me for asking a question. Dude literally was so rude I felt like asking him "what do the five fingers say to the face?" They are the best ! When I have an emergency and I call they always say to just bring my dogs over . Dr.sharma is awesome ; it's obvious he's a veterinarian because he loves animals. This hospital also treats pets that end up in shelters so they may be busy at times. They seem to have a full service hospital. They do not conduct blood tests here. They have been nice and have allowed us to visit our pet as he was getting his kidneys flushed. They are not cheap and they will suggest recommended procedures. They aren't expensive either. If you can't afford treatment of your pet, do not get a pet. We continue to get treatment and supplies from Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Read Less

VERY Expensive.  I made the mistake of sending my husband in alone with our puppy who had an eye infection. $230 some dollars and numerous unnecessary services later, I wish I would have just taken him to the humane society myself, for the $60 visit and meds.  I could be sick. From the payment process to the nail trimmings, they check every box every time for us and our furbabie. I love Blue Cross Vet. I can't thank them enough for helping my best friend. We did never realize that he gained so much weight. Dr Sharma ran some blood tests and diagnosed the disease. My buddy developed a condition where his thyroid was not working well. They sent him home on medication and he lost 10 pounds within first month. Everybody loves my dog. Horrible place! The Indian male doctor lies and tries to charge you as much money as possible and the female doctor just straight bullshits and lies. Each time my dog goes in she ends up sicker. Also my friend brought her dog in for a nail clipping and the doctor said she has an infected nail that they had to remove. Her dogs nails were fine before she went in. While I will give this place a solid star for their ability to get pets in quickly they lose all others for their charging practices.  I felt they were expensive the last few times I was in but never said anything or switched practices because I like how quickly they can get my dog in to be seen.  This last time however - my dog had some kind of lesion on her paw that had caused some bleeding and a very swollen pad.  They first recommended we do an x-ray to which I questioned that being necessary.  They told me that they wanted to rule out it being bone related, which I thought far fetched in the first place considering there was clearly a lesion and blood which would likely be the cause of the swelling, but I agreed.  $127 for that.  They came back telling me there wasn't anything on the x-ray (surprise!) and that they were going to just wrap her paw and give her some antibiotics and a pain killer.  $304 later i'm home with amoxicillin (yep, the stuff you give your kids), and a dog with a paw wrapped in gauze and medical tape.  In that $304 dollar bill - an office visit charge, an x-ray charge, $75 for the amoxicillin, a $35 wound cleaning fee, and a $25 bandage fee.  So basically on top of the office visit fee I paid SIXTY DOLLARS to have some gauze and medical tape put on my dog's paw.  Needless to say that was our last visit to Blue Cross Animal Hospital. I don't normally post reviews but have to put in my two cents for Dr. Sharma and Dr. Lynn, along with all the other vet techs and staff at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Every single person there is amazing! They are caring, compassionate, educated, and take the best care of my dog (Archer) and cat (Harley). I have recommended them to friends and when they mention my name, they know exactly who I am and who my pup is, who, unfortunately gets into a lot of mischief and has been quite the visitor. Anytime I've ever had an emergency, they do everything they can to get me seen immediately. The one time we had to actually visit an emergency room in the middle of the night for an allergic reaction to something, they called first thing the next morning to see how he was doing. They are always very accommodating when I call, working around my schedule to get him in as soon as possible when I think there's something wrong with him (which usually there isn't). My poor Sophie cat swallowed my threaded needle and have to have emergency surgery Tuesday it was a total accident I got ready to hand sew something to a bag I made got called out of the room for 5 freakin minutes and when I returned I saw her swallow it within 10 min we were at Blue Cross animal hospital thanks to Dr Sharma and Dr Lynn and the staff they were wonderful called me let me call when ever I wanted and were always pleasant and caring. She came home yesterday and being kept confined on my bedroom food water liter the whole nine yards at night we flipped over the playpen to keep her safe and confined during the night I thought that was a great idea so thanks baby Noah for letting us use your playpen. Thanks again to everyone at Blue cross Animal Hospital for such quick action to save my Sophie. This is the most expensive bag I have ever made ( vet bill) all because of a needle and thread. Our visit was "just ok" A lot of uncharges happening here, a lot of hidden prices- My dog needs a sty removed, and we were given an estimate, but when it was time for surgery, they called and said he suddenly needed extra bloodwork, and that was going to be an additional $75, on top of the $400 for the surgery and was not on the estimate... we search again for a new vet... I took my princess Bella in today to get her nails trimmed and also to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. I think I was more upset than Bella was. I dislike seeing my love not feeling well. This was my 2nd visit to Blue Cross and I couldn't be happier. Only the best for my Bella. Jaime (not sure if I'm spelling her name right) and all the staff took such great care of Bella. Another plus is that they have always given me a cost estimate before beginning treatment.  They do not "push" extras but really give you the big picture and help you make the appropriate decision. As a doctor myself, I consider myself to be very picky when it comes to my own doctors and my pets. Dr. Sharma did an amazing job with my dogs neuter, and they even saw him immediately when I had a little scare earlier this week. The office staff is also friendly and we welcoming. We got our cat from a shelter last year and he came with a coupon to visit a clinic. I found out this vet would do a free consultation on a first visit without the coupon which was nice. We went here and he certainly made sure he got paid for his time! My cat is a neutered male about 7 years old. A British Shorthair. He is sticky by nature but weighing in at 27 pounds he definitely had some weight to lose. The vet insisted to take a fecal sample for diabetes testing and other tests for parasites. I left the free visit paying $98 and they still insisted I buy some dry food for weight loss. The worst of that is that cats don't eat dry food naturally especially carb fillers. I was also blown away when I lifted my cat to the table, and pet him to collect any loose hair (he was new for us and matted on his hind quarters since the previous owner didn't care for him and he couldn't groom himself due to his weight) and the vet snapped at me "don't do that!" I felt like I was in grade school! He picked up the loosened hair as if his fingers were tweezers and he was disgusted. He grabbed a comb and manhandled my scared cat combing his fur backwards and saying "this is how it's done" he gathered the hair in a pile and told me to do this at home later. He picked up a small hair tuff from the floor and I felt as if he was saying we're dirtying up his office and he doesn't have a cleaning crew! He was awful. Affordable, nice, caring. No problems with appointments, friendly staff. Small and basic, nothing fancy ... I thought I really liked this place until my last annual checkup. I had an appointment for 6, was in a room at 6:30 the vet came in, checked my with his stethoscope in four spots, asked my how many months of trifexis I wanted, came back in showed me my bill, a tech came in pretty much had me pin my dog, ran though the shots and the nose spray and left. I was very pleased with the help my doggies and I received today at this facility. Jean helped me by giving gr8 directions(I had to call her twice) because I was sooo lost. Their vet was thorough and very attentive. She took a lot of notes  this helps me to feel like they are actively listening. I don't like that they took them out of the room to administer shot mostly bcus I've heard too many horrible pet abuse stories. Lucky mine came back to me unscratched. I can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Sharma and the staff at Blue Cross Animal Hospital.  My cat was extremely sick and we brought her to see Dr. Sharma.  We had no idea what was going on with her because it happened so suddenly.  He was so caring and was so thorough with his physical exam.  He helped us figure out what was going on with her immediately which was so important because it was life threatening.  We have taken her in for check ups since then and she is doing sooo much better.  He treats our animals with such love and we are so thankful for that.I've never met a more knowledgeable veterinarian.  He has such a good heart and truly cares for the animals. Dr. Sharma and the staff at Blue Cross were recommended to me by a customer at my work (Royal Oak Pet Supplies Plus) and I haven't strayed from their services since. When it comes to veterinary care, let's face it. Not many of us are blessed with being about to shell out thousands of dollars for their pet's care, even when in our hearts we would give them the world. I have always found this office to be very compassionate regarding everything, and they will not have you spending hundreds extra for things that will NOT improve quality of life, but also care genuinely about the well being of your "family member" and recommend the best possible care and treatment. I always recommend Blue Cross not because "it will save you a bundle", but because I trust them when it comes to my family, and it is important not to be given a runaround with the family that cannot voice their opinions. This place is awful! The desk staff took 17 minutes to even greet me. Then they spent approximately 30 seconds with my dog before coming back with a $217 quote for a $30 procedure. The vet was EXTREMELY rude and aggressive to me....he got so close to my face that I actually thought he was going to HIT ME when I questioned the obnoxious costs and unnecessary treatments of my tiny dog. He even had the audacity to comment on my baby's care because I questioned him. He had zero alternatives then bad mouthed the Humane Society. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly the entire time.I took my foster dog in for kennel cough and the staff rushed us into an exam room (to prevent the spread of this crazy contagious disease) I was glad for that. Also once a contagious dog has been inside an exam room, that room is only used for that purpose. They take all precautions to keep healthy dogs healthy!!! Also, the prices were VERY affordable. I would never go to this place again. My dog had all the symptoms of a UEI so I took her there on short notice even though we had just moved to RO and were not registered with a vet, this was one good thing about these guys.First they muzzled my poor, scared dog even though I insisted that she had never and would never show any agression. Next they guilted me into getting a spectrum of unnecessary tests when I knew it was just a UEI, I took them a urine sample which they could have just tested first!! After all their tests and x-rays!! (they convinced me that it might be kidney stones despite her being really young), they diagnosed her with a UEI. What should have been a painless $40 vet visit turned out to be super stressful for my dog and cost over $200.If you are in an emergency, it's an OK place but if you are new to the area and need a new vet, take your time and find someone who will care for your animals.
