If I could have shut this place down I would have. My sisters cat seriously was nearly murdered by these people and was held hostage when she tried to remove him and get him actual vet care someplace else! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE She brought him in for a rash he had on his tail. He was prescribed a pill to be taken orally for 2 weeks. These are what almost killed him. He became jaundice and we brought him back in...we found out he was about to die and they refused to do anything except give him fluids and keep him there until he passed away. We researched the meds they gave him and found out they are very dabgerous...should only be given 1/4 of a pill at a time and for 3 days max! There was also a way less expensive topical cream that they never offered us that wouldn't have harmed him. She went to get him and they refused to release him until his care was paid in full and they charged her for all the xrays and lab tests and all the extra things they did unnecessarily just to up her bill to over 700$! When we finally took him to a real vet ge spent over 2 weeks clinging to life and nearly died but was able to make a full recovery thank God! This happened a long time ago but I have always warned people against this vet office...they want your money and dont care about your pet or you. Read Less

I love it here, the receptionist are always nice and willing to work with you on services needed and not needed, they aren't pushy at all as far as things that are not needed for your beloved pet. They understand that not everyone has a ton of money to spend. The veterinarian is good at what he does but I do wish he was little more personal with his work, I kinda get the impression that we are just another costumer. Dr. Muhich is the most caring, knowledgeable and compassionate vet I have met.  My dog loves him and can't wait to run into the exam room to greet him.  He recently worked a miracle when things looked hopeless for my dog.  His staff is compassionate and very helpful.  Anne and Kelley have recently helped me through an illness with my dog and couldn't have been more caring.  Before we got married, my husband drove 45 miles to take his dog to Dr. Muhich because the care provided was beyond comparison. Dr. Muhich and his staff are the best! They treat you and your pets with compassion and respect. Doc is keen to listen carefully and take extensive notes while you explain what€s wrong. He gives a thorough examination, then honestly explains your treatment options without pushing you to spend big $$$$. We€ve had some unusual illnesses with our pets, and Doc figured out every one of them, or referred us to someone who did. He has never let us down. And when it€s time to stop spending endless $$$$ on a pet, he€s honest about that too. Although some of our pets probably paid for Doc to lease a nice BMW :-), we never felt ripped off. I've gone to this vet religiously for 10 years. With 3 dogs, and my youngest dog is timid around men and other people "man handling" him. And I asked to be in the room while they heart worm test and vaccinate. The vet aggressively grabbed my dog and pinned him to the ground saying he did it because he was going to bite him. I had a muzzle on my dog I put on him. He wouldn't have bit anyone. And more recently why I wouldn't ever have someone go to this horrible vet, I called because my dog chewed up his plastic cage 2 days prior and then began throwing up chunks of plastic. I had no other vets that I've used so I called Thompson animal clinic and they told me they refused to see my dog even if it was an emergency. So I asked if they were willing to risk my dogs life to not see me and they said they would not allow him in the office. I've never been so disgusted in my life. They don't give a crap about animals. I hate the vet. He's a jerk and needs to get his credentials taken away. He's a disgrace to all vets out there. If I could rate him a zero I would. Read Less

I had used this vet for years, and I've had enough.  I have regularly received attitude and poor service from this place.  I came home from work one day to find my dog with a gaping wound from trying to hop the fence.  I called and said I had an emergency.  They said they wouldn't accept her unless I could be there before 5:30 because they close at 6.  I said it would be close.  Worst case scenario, I would be 5 min past that.  They were about to decline me.  I pressed the issue, indicating that I've been loyal to them for years.  They reluctantly accepted.  Come to find out (from the vet no less), that had I waited, she probably would have lost her leg.I called again today to try and make an appointment because my other dog can't keep food down.  They were considering refusing me all together because I hadn't been there in a while!  They offered me an appointment in a week and were sure to let me know that it was going to be expensive.  I asked what to do about feeding her in the meantime.  They refused to offer any suggestions.  I cancelled my appointment and am seeking another vet.
