Recently took my dog in due to a broken tooth. Expecting to pay $30 for a visit. But as usual, I walked out paying $144, and that’s not even doing anything for the tooth. Their exam price went up to $48 (apparently just recently). The appointment started out poorly with getting my dogs weight, there was an aggressive dog in the waiting area making a lot of noise that made my dog nervous so of course he did not want to sit on the scale. The vet tech proceeds to say “Jesus Christ” (very offensive and unprofessional) yelling at my already scared dog and then gives me a lecture of how we need to train him, which he is trained but was scared in that situation. And as usual Dr. Davis finds other problems than what we are there for. My dog has long ears and has always had chronic ear infections despite our vigilant cleaning. This time (first time ever) he decides to do an ear swab, $30. They prescribe a medication, which I state I have at home. The tech (same one who was cursing at my dog) stated that she looked and that this was a different medication, $48. I get home and find I actually have 2 bottles of this med, which of note was only $29 a year ago. He then additionally prescribed eye drops stating that my dog has eye infection because of the drainage. My dog also has bad allergies and this is worst time of the year so I’m not so sure I’m buying into the fact that they are infected as it is minimal clear drainage and this happens every spring. This office is a racket, don’t expect to get out the door with a bill that is less than $100. This experience was our final, especially after they was the tech spoke to my dog in that language. We will be finding a new vet, as will my family who have had many of the same issues here. Read Less

They love all furbabies! I have a special needs dog and they have worked especially hard to find ways to keep him comfortable. I've taken all my pets here over the years and they have treated each one as their own. This place was awful. We recently moved to St. Johns and were hoping to find a vet that was as good as our previous one, and this was definitely not it. Our kitty has stomatitis, which causes gum inflammation, and he needs an antibiotic/steroid injection every couple months. At our previous vet, this cost $25 per visit. Here, we walked out paying $110, and that was despite the pathetic attempts of Dr. Wildrose to order additional tests and procedures. This included a whole-mouth tooth extraction, which has never been shown to be effective in the research (I've checked - and other vets we've talked to have said this would be too traumatic on the animal). A warning bell of "FRAUD" immediately went through our minds. She clearly was in this for the money, proven by her inane attempts to order additional tests, including seeing a cat optometrist, ordering bloodwork ($170), and charging a ridiculous amount of money for what other vets do for free (testing the eyes, ensuring he didn't have an ear infection). The office visit alone was $45, for about 5 minutes of her time. Ridiculous. She attempted to guilt us into ordering these tests, and we walked out completely disgusted. It would be better for our cat (and easier on our checkbook) if we just drove two hours to see our QUALIFIED vet from our previous hometown. Our search continues for a doctor that will take good care of our kitty. Our advice to anyone who is looking for a vet by reading reviews is to keep looking --- this place will just try to rip you off, and they clearly don't have the best interests of the animals in mind.Read Less
