It's my first time with a puppy and Greenfield was able to boost my confidence with my pup while also providing great care. They were quick to schedule and very informative in the pre visit emails. My dog, Buddy Love, needed surgery. I was nervous about the surgery. However, Dr. Jachman and Technician, Tracey, made me feel comfortable after explaining in detail what would be involved in the procedure. Buddy is doing exceptionally well after the surgery. The staff is great. They take such great care of our furry family and have a calming presence. We took our kitty here when she was feeling ill and she didnt mind them carrying her around (which says a lot from a cat that doesn't like being held). When you move there are a lot of things to figure out, when your animal injures herself before you even have the chance to research your options--this becomes even more stressful. I can't say enough how incredible Greenfield Animal Hospital was from start to finish. My morning consisted of calling a few other clinics and either leaving messages or being turned down (they do not accept new patients), but I did get a referral here which I'm so thankful for. A kind helpful voice actually answered the phone and empathized when I told them my cat cut herself the previous night and after stopping the bleeding, I just wanted to make sure she was checked up on and cleaned up properly. I was able to get an appointment for later that afternoon. When I arrived (just on time because I had to get Stormy from home after rushing there from work), the staff was friendly, checked Stormy in, and we only waited about 5-10 minutes for an exam room. The vet tech dealt with a very upset Maine Coon, and gracefully accepted her howls and scratches. Dr. Shencopp was absolutely fantastic, she did her best to try to keep Stormy calm and put me at ease.  After coming back from the procedure room, they explained that she might seem out of it for a little bit from the anesthesia, and stayed with Stormy and I while she recovered. Overall this was the best possible experience I could have asked for, and my price for everything was a lot less than I was expecting. The staff also told me I could have my other cat's prescriptions called into their pharmacy (which also makes my life so much easier). I will be back in August for Stormy's check up and shots, and Mila will be visiting when her bloodwork and check up is due in February. Read Less

I have many veterinary services / hospitals closer to me, but the inconvenience of having to drive further to get to Greenfield is outweighed by the phenomenal staff. You have to have absolute trust in your vets since pet care can be an incredible expense and an emotional upheaval. On the financial side: I have always been presented with a full quote and then they took the time to explain to me what the essentials are and then what they recommend. Essentially, they allow you to make an informed budgetary decision be showing you what is priority and what is helpful but not ultimately necessary (at the time). I have also taken my grown cat in for semi emergency care and that is normally the time when otherwise questionable practices would see a money making opportunity. Dr Zerbel has been the primary vet I've dealt with and she thoroughly examined my cat and recommended simple (but effective) dietary changes and care. I was ready to pay thousands to make sure my cat was OK and I only had to pay for an office visit. As for the emotional upheaval - pet owners deal with abject fear because there is the inability to ask your pet "what's wrong?" So when you go to a vet's office, having a staff like the staff at Greenfield is priceless. My kitties and I love Greenfield Animal Hospital! The veterinarians are knowledgeable and caring and the whole staff is very friendly. They can always fit us in at the last minute when we need it. My cat Axel has had some pretty serious intestinal/bowel issues, and surgery performed on him by Dr. Hood at Greenfield a few years ago saved his life. The whole staff was great. they were very attentive to Stogey. I was given a itemized list of services that they recommended with pricing before they proceeded. Once I approved the recommendations they proceeded with great care. Stogey was not feeling well that day and they recommended he come back after he was feeling better. The bill was paid for and I returned 2 days later to get his shots. There was no extra charge for the return visit and we were in and out in 15 minutes. Thanks to the whole staff you are great! My puppy named Lincoln who I only owned for a week came down with a serious case of Parvo. When other vets wouldn't take him Greenfield Animal Hospital stepped up to the challenge. A special thank you to the awesome staff at Greenfield Animal Hospital especially Lori and Tracy. They took such good care of him and loved him like their own. They made special signs for his room and also sent me pictures and updates of him daily. We went there for the first time when we had to say goodbye to Nanook and for the second time when we needed to save our new baby's life. Ohemgee- the staff is PHENOMENAL. Like, no exaggeration. None of them are personal friends or family, but you wouldn't know it from how we were treated. I have a 6 year old Pit and I'm always leery about where I take her. It's no secret that Pits get a bad rap because of their (for lack of a better expression) effing AWFUL effing owners, along with the uneducated and ill-educated sub-humans who insist that it's a "breed issue". Are you kidding. Are we just going to act like Chihuahuas aren't the meanest little things with their Napoleon Complexes? I assure you if they were the size of Golden Retrievers... My Pit is like my child and not only is she more well behaved than 70% of society, she is also more kind than 70%. But I digress. The staff is so very compassionate. The Doctor who saw her (her name escapes me), is SO knowledgeable and answered all our questions without hesitation. She, along with (forgive me if this is incorrect?) the Vet Nurses were confident in everything they relayed to us, which sadly, isn't as common as it should be.My Pit loved every single person she met there (all women, though I did see a male Dr. there in another room) and they embraced her kisses (which she loves to give!), instead of recoiling in fear and nervousness. She let them inspect her, carry her, draw her blood, and give her the shots she needed without so much as a whimper OR a growl, (even though growls are extremely rare and usually reserved for ferrel cats that taunt her from the porch and front window).I love this place and I cannot see myself taking her anywhere else. Heck, if they relocated their business to Toledo, I would surely make the drive!! (But, not further than that you know, because gas isn't free.)I will recommend this Vet to any and everyone who asks, and I consider myself to be the type incredibly hard to please.Oh! I loved the staff at Greenfield. They were extremely friendly and compassionate for my hyper dog, Mason. From the beginning to end of my visit, both of us felt very welcomed and cared for. The vet technician greeted my dog and gave him cuddles and pets before taking us to the back room. I barely had to wait for the doctor to examine him. I needed to book a wellness checkup for a dog I rescued.  I was able to set an appointment within a few days at a convenient time for me.  The staff at the front next was very nice and helpful.  The vet techs we worked with were friendly and provided us with good advice.  We met with Dr. Zerbel.  She was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly.  All and all our first visit was great.  We are scheduled to return for booster shots. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. A few months back while traveling in NY my dog experienced high levels of separation anxiety. They helped get meds for him so that I could leave him for a few hours while we went out. The same dog was just there for teeth cleaning and had to have numerous extractions. Just switched vets and brought my black lab mix to Greenfield. She has a fear of male vets and has always worn a muzzle at the vet just in case. This was the first time that she didn't need one! The staff was excellent with her and let me hold her head and distract her so they could do a thorough exam, including vaccinations and blood work. Wonderful vet. My cats usually see Dr. Zerbel but all of the docs are great. They always take the time to answer all of my questions and I never feel rushed. My boyfriend and I adopted our fur baby about a month ago, and just like any new parent we wanted to make sure that we were taking her to the right doctor, and one that made us and our baby feel comfortable. Referred to Greenfield Animal Hospital by a co-worker and dog lover like myself, I decided to check out their website, and go from there. Their website is probably the most informative and user friendly platform that I have ever seen for an Animal Hospital better yet, any doctor!All of their new patient forms are online, bios of the doctors as well as the whole staff, and an easy to use appointment scheduling interface so I don't have to call to set anything up and go back and forth on dates. I can literally tell them three days and times I'm available, and they e-mail you back promptly to schedule something. Genius! This in and of itself set the tone for the whole experience before even having set foot in their office. The day of Cholula's appointment, we walked into their office, had her previous vet records from the shelter in hand along with the new patient form, and saw a doctor in no more than 10 minutes. Eazy Peazy! Tracy our LVT was the sweetest. She took us to the room, went over some general info and what we needed to get done (which I noted in the comment section when setting up my appointment online..like I said, brilliant!) and went to get our doctor. Dr. Zerbel came in, greeted us and our barking dog, and began to do a general checkup. She was thorough, explained to us a lot of what she was doing, brought to light that our dog is actually a boston terrier pug mix, and because we're traveling to Canada with her, she made sure she got her vaccines up to date and gave us all the paperwork for crossing the border. When all was said and done we walked out with heart worm preventative medication, a test tube for a fecal sample that I need to bring back, her microchip information updated to match ours, and Cholula's good bill of health!! Lula is also now on a low cal diet to shed a few pounds (which might also be beneficial for her parents to join in on :) )Pricing wise everything was right where I thought it would be, and all factors combined, well worth it! They also do boarding and grooming in this same building, and based off the care and service we received, I would not have to think twice about bringing my fur baby here for grooming or boarding in the future! You can get Sat appts in the same week, my last appt was quick I was in & out within 30 mins for my dog's annual check-up. If you sign-up for email you'll get coupons but they don't flood your inbox, I get 1-2 emails each month. I cannot express enough what a WONDERFUL place The Greenfield Animal Hospital is, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to any pet owners for all your pet care needs.We recently had to put our 16 year old poodle to sleep, and they are BY FAR the nicest place we could have taken our Little Lacy Girl.From the receptionists, to the technicians, to the doctors (Dr. Jennifer Zerbel) they all went above and beyond our expectations. The room where we said goodbye was such a peaceful place, the staff kept us informed and explained everything about the process, they encouraged us to ask any questions that we had, and they compassionately allowed us to have as much time with her as we needed during each step of the way.They have genuine sympathy for pets and their owners, and they truly treated our dog as if she were their own.Additionally, a few days after we said goodbye to our dog Lacy, we received a hand written card with deepest sympathy from Dr. Zerbel, as well as a beautiful clay disk of Lacy's paw print, which included her name and some really pretty jewels.They really took great care of her and were so kind... and the consideration they showed during each step of the process, really helped to make it that much easier for our entire family.
