Vets can be a bit pricy, but these vets are extremely kind and give calls to check up on your pet after the service. I even called to ask advice about my cat itching and they called and asked if i had my issue resolved. I appreciate the care i get from them. I trust them with my pets. I started bringing my cat to Dr. Moore after needing a second opinion, and now bring both of my felines there for all of their care. I receive excellent service and advice, while the staff is cognizant of cost of treatment and can recommend different options. I have also seen Dr. Jackson and used the groomer for my (grouchy) cat and have been very pleased with my experiences. It was a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere where it was evident that animals are loved! Very unimpressed with the pet-side manner of Dr. James Moore DVM. I visited today for a doggy dental consult and estimate and will be taking my business elsewhere and will be encouraging others to do the same. Dr. Moore seemed very condescending and egotistical as a Veterinarian. Although his qualifications were never in question, I could tell that he wanted to make it clear that he was a big deal. I felt sad that he made little (if any) effort to show genuine care for my dog; furthermore, when I tried to explain my perspective as a dog-owner, he seemed flippant with his advice and became a total man-splainer. I want to be very clear that my negative experience was only with Dr. Moore - the receptionists and vet techs/assistants that helped me were sensational. Shelly at the front desk was kind and sincere, and Dani (?) who helped me during the visit was both competent and accommodating. Sadly, it felt like Dr. Moore during my visit paid no respect to their roles on staff. I realize this might be a different office rapport or culture than I'm used to or would feel comfortable in, but I felt like Dr. Moore just bossed them around and then would make snide comments about them once they left the room. I really do hope that others have a more positive experience but this was mine and I hope it is helpful to those who are looking at Harborfront as potential clients. Dr. Joy Jackson is such a caring vet! I feel confident that my dog is getting the best care with her and she seems to really listen and care. She isn't pushy about expensive treatments, but she offers her honest and professional advice on what she feels is best for my aging dog. I'm glad she is back at HHFA! Read Less
