I still don't know how to feel about this vet as a whole. On one hand, I love Dr. White. I have always felt very comfortable taking my old dog to him but the last few years, I didn't enjoy my experiences there as much.First off, I don't like Dr. Major at all - I don't feel like she has good 'bedside' manner. So I always request Dr. White. Well, as he's getting older, I'm starting to become suspicious that he's not updated himself on the latest medical procedures.I got a new cat (aged about 3) and took her to him immediately to ask about her diet and if he could spay her. He didn't have much to say about her diet - he just said to give her whatever the bag recommended and when I asked about Meow Mix, he said that was fine (which to find out later, the second I read the ingredients, I was appalled).I took her in to be spayed and the next day, got a call that she was ready to be picked up. I walked over to get her and the receptionist told me that she had actually already been spayed before, however, still got a bill for $330. I said pretty nicely, "Um, shouldn't this be a little cheaper then?" The receptionist replied back fairly snooty with, "Well he was still inside of her looking around for QUITE some time. I think he spent MORE time doing her surgery than the cats who had their parts still. But we didn't charge for the ($9, I think) bio-hazard removal fee."Well, gee, thanks. But they still charged me $19 to trim her nails even though she was under anesthesia. Anyway, I was fairly upset but left very politely and I feel like if Dr. White was a good vet, he would have noticed a scar, especially since my cat was only about 3 years old at the time.I went to another vet and told her about my experience and my current vet laughed to the point of tears. My mom still goes there with her dog but I just don't feel comfortable with their decision-making and advice anymore. Read Less
