This vet was the only one that would come to our home and help our 16 year old Border Collie cross the rainbow bridge. I understand why our regular vets couldn't -the group that owns their clinic will not let them make house calls. I think I must of called every vet in Lenawee county. It was very important to use that our old baby not have to pass with the smell of disinfectant and sights and sounds of a clinic around him. This vet was kind and respectful of our loss. Dr. Ed, Dr. Lorrie and the rest of the staff at Tecumseh Animal Hospital are superb!  This has been our vet for a couple of years, and we have always had good experiences here.  Recently, our kitten ingested string and had major intestinal damage.  The doctors were able to assess the situation and had her into the surgery by the next morning.  Dr. Ed called me as soon as surgery was over to explain in detail (and in layman's terms) what was wrong with her insides and how he repaired them.  Over the next two weeks they were right there to check her temp and the sutures. The rest of the staff was so loving to our little fur ball - so important to us! My husband and I were "helicopter" parents and always freaked out over anything.  The entire staff was so patient with us.  The cost was below what we anticipated as well.  While us humans may appreciate TVH, I should point out that Kit Kat is not looking forward to future visits here. :-) Read Less

I would like to thank Dr Ed and Dr Lori for thier great compassion, thier dedication and all of the hard work they put into to saving the lives or just simply treating the fur babies that belong to the people in our community... I know I love my fur babies they are my children and lastnight 11/18/16 some how my dog got poisoned/drugged..it was after 8pm I called them, they dropped what they were doing and met me at the clinic to help with my situation absolutely love these people...today she is a little groggy but alive and I am thankful. We moved to Raisen Township in May and our oldest cat got sick. We took him to tecumseh veterinary and got great care and have him healthy again. When we got our newest cat we made sure to take him there also. Great docs & staff. Couldn't imagine anyone else treating our pets. Read Less

REVIEW ON TECUMSEH VETERANARY HOSPITAL We took our dog in because she ws sick and needed her shots, and they gave her some medicine and said she couldnt take the shots! people were very rude to us! when our card wasnt in file we had to call and they made us stay in a room where we couldnt get out or leave until we figured it out and they called my mom a liar when she said about the payment and held us in there and once we got the card from the COMPANY ITSELF she said well lets see if this is actually on! we payed an my mother said we wouldnt be back because of how rude they were and the person who was super rude said good we dont need you anyway! just so rude i would never recommend them to anyone! and the best part was after we left, we got a called from animals service about her after THEY wouldnt give her the shots! Having recently moved out to the Irish Hills area we needed a new vet.  We choose Tecumseh Veterinary and have been very pleased.  They are great with our dogs and their notification system keeps you informed as to what your pet needs.  As far as being roughed as a previous post mentioned that has not been the case.  In fact they are gentle with our very nervous dog and very understanding to our pets needs. My family took our dog and cat here for years before we decided enough was enough.  For one, I don't like the way Dr. Tritt handled my dog - she didn't like her (which hasn't happened with any other vet/person) and I noticed the way Dr. Tritt handled my dog was much more rough than necessary.Second, upon getting my young cat, they offered a kitten package for spaying/declawing all in one.  I CANNOT support a vet who pimps out declawing in order to make money.  They tried to tell me the way they did it with the laser made it non-painful, which is not true.  You can find information anywhere, including the AVMA's website, where it says that the "improved" effect is minimal and cats can have tissue burned.Thankfully, I have taken my animals elsewhere to a vet further north who refuses to declaw and is very gentle with my animals. Well first thing I would say is that all of the people are very caring, not only about your pets, but you as well. I would say the Dr.'s are very professional, very caring about my animals. I have several dogs, everything from a 11 pound Dachshund to a 130 pound black lab, and all different dogs in-between and they are all handled very professionally. Read Less
