This office is amazing. I had my Great Dane fixed at human Ohio and she was leithargic and developed an incisional infection afterward. I was very worried about her and human Ohio was no help. Temperance road animal hospital seen her within ten minutes of me requesting an appointment. They had to do an Incision and drain the infection was so bad. She had to be admitted overnight for fluid and antibiotics. Happy to report she now back to her happy self. In the future I will only take my pets here. Read Less

We've been using Temperance Animal Hospital for years and have always been extremely pleased with their services. They are always very gentle with our dog and explain things clearly to us. I love that they really try to build a relationship with our pet, even getting down on the floor with her and offering her treats and talking to her before they even start an exam or procedure. Our dog has some anxiety at the vet, and they've given us some excellent tips on how to help her feel more comfortable while she's there, and they even offer free appointments where we can bring her in just to have fun, get treats and get loved by some of the staff as a way to show her that a trip to the vet isn't scary. I absolutely love this place and they take wonderful care of my new puppy. I also unfortunetly lost my first pet last year and they handled what was one of the worse things I have ever gone through wonderfully. I would not go anywhere else. I've been taking my furry children to TAH for more than two decades and have stayed with them because of the excellent care they provide my spaniels.  My girls have been under the care of most of their doctors at one time or another over the years and each is  extremely qualified. I was referred here when my previous vet moved away. I have been completely happy with their service. Everyone goes above and beyond. When I had to have one of my dogs put down last fall due to cancer the staff was so incredibly kind and understanding. They never made me feel like he was 'just a dog'. I can not put into words how grateful I am to have such wonderful, caring people taking care of my furry babies. I have pug's, and if you don't know much about the breed, let me just say they can have a lot of problems. but well worth it, they are very loving. I had two, I lost one about 3 years ago. Dr Chris took such good care of my jewels and me, I was a basket case, but she just hug me and said all the right things, along with penny and the other staff members. They even donated a tree is Jewels name, now that is going beyond their job. Thank you. I still have my gemini, witch is now 12 years old, they have prepare me for what is coming or could come, I know when that time does come, and my baby does go on her own, I know I can count on Dr Chris and her wonderful staff to take care of her and me. I feel grateful to have such caring compassionate people taking care of my fur babies. I trust what they tell me and I trust their knowledge. They are up-to-date on the latest treatments and if they feel you should consult a specialist they will refer you to another provider. When my dog was being treated for cancer they did not balk at the fact I wanted to add holistic treatments to his care. When it was time to say goodbye to my boy they were incredible, they were so supportive of our family during our time of loss. I would not take my animals anywhere else! Read Less

The entire staff at TAH are so wonderful. Every time I have taken our dogs there we have received amazing care and service. Just recently we had a very frightening emergency with our youngest beagle. I went in hysterically crying and due to the nature of her injury we were there a long time deciding what to do. We were given all the time we needed, never being rushed. I love everyone there! We have a dog that has shown some fear aggression that was mismanaged at another vet, causing our big sweet boy a lot of distress. I called TAH at the recommendation of several people and felt more at ease even just with the girl who answered the phone. My husband took our dog for his first visit today, and it went splendidly. My first experience with our Pet was a different experience. Almost immediately I knew this was not your fathers type of veterinary service. To begin they did NOT keep up waiting. They were perfectly on time and up to date on the latest types of teeth cleaning for pets dogs. Their fees were very reasonable and comparable to0 where we have gone before. We have had nothing but wonderful service here. On November 1st we had to say good bye to our beloved Daisy and the staff was wonderful giving us all the time and space we needed. Even after closing they said stay take all the time you need. It was wonderful the care they gave us and our beloved pets. we had a dalmatian named freckles (12 yrs old). one day, in the summer of 2006, around 6pm, he swallowed a superball. my neighbor helped me get him in the car, in the meantime i called the animal hospital and told them what happened. they said to bring him right over (even though they were closing in a little bit). the staff was very friendly and talked to me to try to get my mind off what had just happened. they were able to revive freckles, as he died on the way there. they are miracle workers. eventually we had to have freckles put down. in february of 2007 we got a siberian husky pup named diesel. naturally because of the way the staff cares, treats and takes care of you and your pet - like your family - i took diesel there. i trust them 100%. i even took diesel for kindergarten classes there. i entered diesel in the toledo blade pet idol contest and he won. the animal hospital had his name up on their billboard and had me call into their weekend radio show to answer a few questions. they go above and beyond what their required to do. i would, without a doubt, recommend them to anyone with any kind of pet.
