Dr. Matthew Ewald of Stonebrooke Family Practice recommended this practice. He is an absolutely amazing Physician who has helped me get through nearly ten years of difficult diagnoses. This referral was very much appreciated. The Doctors and staff are very friendly and caring. They use vaccines free of thimersol/mercury. Very important for my little puppy. I have not taken my dog yet But so far not a very good impression from speaking to the receptionist. Not very friendly in my opinion but perhaps I'm being hard on her because I am a receptionist and I try to go out of my way to be super friendly and caring on the phone. She was very straightforward and got the job done but not in a very outgoing upbeat manner. when I told her my dog was up-to-date on rabies until June she said well he's going to need another rabies here because he has to be up-to-date for us to see him. And then I said he has up to date until June and she said OK well then bring his papers. At that point I was ready to just say forget it I'll just take him somewhere else but I've heard good things about this vet clinic so I want to see what the vets are like. After my dog has seen the vet I may reconsider my review

We have been taking our cat here for as long as I've lived in the area, which is about 3.5 years.I have been very impressed with the friendly staff and knowledgeable care providers. We usually try to get appointments with Dr. Overlea. Our cat suffers from a few medical issues and I feel like Dr. O approached her long and short-term treatment so responsibly. She always takes the time to talk us through what/why she is doing things, which makes us feel much more comfortable.All of the staff is great and we are very thankful we found AAV!

My Siberian huskies and Pomeranian are my world. I would do anything for their comfort, health, and happiness. I have found in Animal Advocates of Troy, that same commitment. They are diligent, practical, and respectful of my ideas, concerns, and recommendations. We have a partnership in giving the best of care to my fur-children. Prices are very reasonable, never tried to push frivolous services and fees. Most important to me, Laika, Odin, Grimsby and Sandra Rae love them there! Clean office. Never packed in the waiting room, never have to wait, never rushed during our visits. I highly recommend them!

They are the BEST! We love taking our Annie to Animal Advocates! She has mainly seen Dr. Overla who has been nothing but kind and compassionate when helping with her issues with DM. Annie did have to see one of the other Vets recently and we got the same exceptional care from her as well. The facility is always very clean, they are never pushy for certain treatments or medications, but try to give you all your options and support whatever decision you decide to go with. The staff is always super friendly and caring for her as well. Prices are super reasonable too! I HIGHLY suggest taking your pets to them!!!

Approximately 7 years ago I became disenchanted with a vet I had gone to for over 20 years. On a Saturday morning I discovered one of my Persians, Magic, had a extremely loose canine tooth, called Animal Advocates and they got me in that morning. They were wonderful have been going to them every since. In addition to the care they have given to my cats, the first time I went in I was laid off, they allowed me to pay in 2 payments, and much more reasonable then my former vet. Since that initial visit unfortunately 2 of my babies, Magic and Murphy, have gone to Rainbow's Bridge, the compassion and understanding of what I was going through was incredible. I recommend them highly, wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Doctors and whole staff are great.

I've been taking my dog here for about 4 years and I recommend this practice to everyone in the area. Dr. Overlea is my favorite. She really takes the time to talk to me about how my dog is doing and explain when something is wrong. I trust her completely. We started taking our cat here when we got her a couple years ago and have had an equally positive experience with that pet.If you need a vet in the Troy area, you should really come here.

After Luckys traumatic experience at Hamilton Vet. I was in desperate need of a new vet as I vowed I would never take my furbaby back there again. I ended up being referred to this place by luckys groomer and I'm so thankful! The prices are more higher than most but the three lady vets are all nice. My personal favorite was Dr. O (brown hair). She even tried to bundle vaccinations that had to be administered by a vet as the prices for those are different than just a shot administered by a vet tech! Super nice of her :)I would recommend them! They've been nothing but kind and helpful every time that I've been!

The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The veterinarians are so kind and treat your pet with such affection it's as if they were their own pet. Dr. Bellisario is also aware of keeping costs down when appropriate. The atmosphere is clean and filled with interesting animal pictures and artwork. In case of a sick or injured pet they try to get you in as soon as possible. It is a great place to trust the care of your pet.

I have worked with all of the vets and vet techs at AAVH and have nothing but the best to say about their team. I have taken my guinea pig, cat, and dog to AAVH and received excellent veterinary care. Our cat was attacked by a dog and the team at AAVH took care of us over months of surgeries and procedures that saved her life. They are always able to fit you in and make you feel like you are their number one priority, which was so helpful to us during that stressful time! My husband and I have recently moved away from the area and are devastated to leave AAVH, but they are still happy to help us over the phone. I recently called the hospital and they helped guide me through choosing a vet in our area. I spent ten minutes on the phone with them being reassured that I was making the right decision about a procedure for my cat and how to make the best decisions regarding her care. AAVH is very clean, their prices are reasonable, and the care is outstanding. From the minute you call or walk in the door, the front office staff is welcoming and helpful, and the vet techs and veterinarians treat you and your pet like a member of the family. Since I have worked with each vet, and each vet was a part of the recovery process with my cat, I can honestly say there is not one that I would prefer over another. They all seem to get to know each and every client, so you should never feel like you can only schedule appointments with a certain vet. They will all take very good care of you! I would highly, highly recommend AAVH to anyone looking for a new vet.

My older dog was diagnosed w/cancer and the entire staff was very supportive and caring during the length of his disease. They always took the time to answer my questions and fit him in for appts. When I got my new puppy they were excited for me. I wouldn't take my pets any place else.

I have not taken my dog yet But so far not a very good impression from speaking to the receptionist. Not very friendly in my opinion but perhaps I'm being hard on her because I am a receptionist and I try to go out of my way to be super friendly and caring on the phone. She was very straightforward and got the job done but not in a very outgoing upbeat manner. when I told her my dog was up-to-date on rabies until June she said well he's going to need another rabies here because he has to be up-to-date for us to see him. And then I said he has up to date until June and she said OK well then bring his papers. At that point I was ready to just say forget it I'll just take him somewhere else but I've heard good things about this vet clinic so I want to see what the vets are like. After my dog has seen the vet I may reconsider my review

Very caring vets and staff. They really went above and beyond to find possible treatments for my first cat who was feLV+ and even sent a nice card when he passed. Now I take all 3 of my animals there and couldn't be happier. And as an added bonus they have an office cat named Nudge who is absolutely adorrible!

We have been taking our cat here for as long as I've lived in the area, which is about 3.5 years.I have been very impressed with the friendly staff and knowledgeable care providers. We usually try to get appointments with Dr. Overlea. Our cat suffers from a few medical issues and I feel like Dr. O approached her long and short-term treatment so responsibly. She always takes the time to talk us through what/why she is doing things, which makes us feel much more comfortable.All of the staff is great and we are very thankful we found AAV!

My Siberian huskies and Pomeranian are my world. I would do anything for their comfort, health, and happiness. I have found in Animal Advocates of Troy, that same commitment. They are diligent, practical, and respectful of my ideas, concerns, and recommendations. We have a partnership in giving the best of care to my fur-children. Prices are very reasonable, never tried to push frivolous services and fees. Most important to me, Laika, Odin, Grimsby and Sandra Rae love them there! Clean office. Never packed in the waiting room, never have to wait, never rushed during our visits. I highly recommend them!

They are the BEST! We love taking our Annie to Animal Advocates! She has mainly seen Dr. Overla who has been nothing but kind and compassionate when helping with her issues with DM. Annie did have to see one of the other Vets recently and we got the same exceptional care from her as well. The facility is always very clean, they are never pushy for certain treatments or medications, but try to give you all your options and support whatever decision you decide to go with. The staff is always super friendly and caring for her as well. Prices are super reasonable too! I HIGHLY suggest taking your pets to them!!!

Approximately 7 years ago I became disenchanted with a vet I had gone to for over 20 years. On a Saturday morning I discovered one of my Persians, Magic, had a extremely loose canine tooth, called Animal Advocates and they got me in that morning. They were wonderful have been going to them every since. In addition to the care they have given to my cats, the first time I went in I was laid off, they allowed me to pay in 2 payments, and much more reasonable then my former vet. Since that initial visit unfortunately 2 of my babies, Magic and Murphy, have gone to Rainbow's Bridge, the compassion and understanding of what I was going through was incredible. I recommend them highly, wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Doctors and whole staff are great.

I've been taking my dog here for about 4 years and I recommend this practice to everyone in the area. Dr. Overlea is my favorite. She really takes the time to talk to me about how my dog is doing and explain when something is wrong. I trust her completely. We started taking our cat here when we got her a couple years ago and have had an equally positive experience with that pet.If you need a vet in the Troy area, you should really come here.

After Luckys traumatic experience at Hamilton Vet. I was in desperate need of a new vet as I vowed I would never take my furbaby back there again. I ended up being referred to this place by luckys groomer and I'm so thankful! The prices are more higher than most but the three lady vets are all nice. My personal favorite was Dr. O (brown hair). She even tried to bundle vaccinations that had to be administered by a vet as the prices for those are different than just a shot administered by a vet tech! Super nice of her :)I would recommend them! They've been nothing but kind and helpful every time that I've been!

Also like that they offer the Merial vaccine brand that does not contain the mercury preservative thimerosal. Very knowledgeable and caring staff. Highly recommended!

The veterinarians that work at Animal Advocates are the best! Very professional, compassionate, and caring. I have been taking my 3 pets there for over two years now and have only great things to say about the entire staff. They also have a resident cat named Nudge, who has a gift for putting clients at ease. I HIGHLY recommend this animal hospital. You will not be disappointed!

The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The veterinarians are so kind and treat your pet with such affection it's as if they were their own pet. Dr. Bellisario is also aware of keeping costs down when appropriate. The atmosphere is clean and filled with interesting animal pictures and artwork. In case of a sick or injured pet they try to get you in as soon as possible. It is a great place to trust the care of your pet.

Very good vets. I went there because they were close, and they quickly diagnosed a problem on my dog that was simply treated with benedryl. I had been doing expensive treatment for years at my old vet. And for icing the cake, they are very reasonably priced. They do not gouge.

I have worked with all of the vets and vet techs at AAVH and have nothing but the best to say about their team. I have taken my guinea pig, cat, and dog to AAVH and received excellent veterinary care. Our cat was attacked by a dog and the team at AAVH took care of us over months of surgeries and procedures that saved her life. They are always able to fit you in and make you feel like you are their number one priority, which was so helpful to us during that stressful time! My husband and I have recently moved away from the area and are devastated to leave AAVH, but they are still happy to help us over the phone. I recently called the hospital and they helped guide me through choosing a vet in our area. I spent ten minutes on the phone with them being reassured that I was making the right decision about a procedure for my cat and how to make the best decisions regarding her care. AAVH is very clean, their prices are reasonable, and the care is outstanding. From the minute you call or walk in the door, the front office staff is welcoming and helpful, and the vet techs and veterinarians treat you and your pet like a member of the family. Since I have worked with each vet, and each vet was a part of the recovery process with my cat, I can honestly say there is not one that I would prefer over another. They all seem to get to know each and every client, so you should never feel like you can only schedule appointments with a certain vet. They will all take very good care of you! I would highly, highly recommend AAVH to anyone looking for a new vet.

Cannot say enough good things about these veterinarians. Been a regular client since they opened. Very caring, compassionate, will even come to our home when it is timeto euthanize your beloved pet. Dr Birley was able to diagnose a health problem thattwo other vets could not. They are also knowledgeable with training problems. Excellentstaff.

She is very nice and cares about animals as do the other doctors, but she has a certain friendly aspect to her that the other doctors don't seem to have. My older dog was diagnosed w/cancer and the entire staff was very supportive and caring during the length of his disease. They always took the time to answer my questions and fit him in for appts. When I got my new puppy they were excited for me. I wouldn't take my pets any place else.
