I have not taken my dog yet But so far not a very good impression from speaking to the receptionist. Not very friendly in my opinion but perhaps I'm being hard on her because I am a receptionist and I try to go out of my way to be super friendly and caring on the phone. She was very straightforward and got the job done but not in a very outgoing upbeat manner. when I told her my dog was up-to-date on rabies until June she said well he's going to need another rabies here because he has to be up-to-date for us to see him. And then I said he has up to date until June and she said OK well then bring his papers. At that point I was ready to just say forget it I'll just take him somewhere else but I've heard good things about this vet clinic so I want to see what the vets are like. We have been taking our cat here for as long as I've lived in the area, which is about 3.5 years.I have been very impressed with the friendly staff and knowledgeable care providers. We usually try to get appointments with Dr. Overlea. Our cat suffers from a few medical issues and I feel like Dr. O approached her long and short-term treatment so responsibly. They are the BEST! We love taking our Annie to Animal Advocates! She has mainly seen Dr. Overla who has been nothing but kind and compassionate when helping with her issues with DM. Annie did have to see one of the other Vets recently and we got the same exceptional care from her as well. The facility is always very clean, they are never pushy for certain treatments or medications, but try to give you all your options and support whatever decision you decide to go with. Approximately 7 years ago I became disenchanted with a vet I had gone to for over 20 years. On a Saturday morning I discovered one of my Persians, Magic, had a extremely loose canine tooth, called Animal Advocates and they got me in that morning. They were wonderful have been going to them every since. In addition to the care they have given to my cats, the first time I went in I was laid off, they allowed me to pay in 2 payments, and much more reasonable then my former vet. Since that initial visit unfortunately 2 of my babies, Magic and Murphy, have gone to Rainbow's Bridge, the compassion and understanding of what I was going through was incredible. She really takes the time to talk to me about how my dog is doing and explain when something is wrong. I trust her completely. After Luckys traumatic experience at Hamilton Vet. I was in desperate need of a new vet as I vowed I would never take my furbaby back there again. I ended up being referred to this place by luckys groomer and I'm so thankful! The prices are more higher than most but the three lady vets are all nice. My personal favorite was Dr. O (brown hair). She even tried to bundle vaccinations that had to be administered by a vet as the prices for those are different than just a shot administered by a vet tech! I have worked with all of the vets and vet techs at AAVH and have nothing but the best to say about their team. I have taken my guinea pig, cat, and dog to AAVH and received excellent veterinary care. Our cat was attacked by a dog and the team at AAVH took care of us over months of surgeries and procedures that saved her life. They are always able to fit you in and make you feel like you are their number one priority, which was so helpful to us during that stressful time! My husband and I have recently moved away from the area and are devastated to leave AAVH, but they are still happy to help us over the phone. I recently called the hospital and they helped guide me through choosing a vet in our area. I spent ten minutes on the phone with them being reassured that I was making the right decision about a procedure for my cat and how to make the best decisions regarding her care. AAVH is very clean, their prices are reasonable, and the care is outstanding. From the minute you call or walk in the door, the front office staff is welcoming and helpful, and the vet techs and veterinarians treat you and your pet like a member of the family. Since I have worked with each vet, and each vet was a part of the recovery process with my cat, I can honestly say there is not one that I would prefer over another. They all seem to get to know each and every client, so you should never feel like you can only schedule appointments with a certain vet. They will all take very good care of you! This place is awesome!!!! Though my little dog thinks its the end of the world, we feel very comfortable there. The doctors are very freindly and gentle with my dog. I would recommend Dr. Overla. Excellent clinic. The clinic is very clean and the staff is personable. They always remember my dog and any concerns I had about him. They always put your pets needs first and give excellent advice. My older dog was diagnosed w/cancer and the entire staff was very supportive and caring during the length of his disease. They always took the time to answer my questions and fit him in for appts.
