We recently switched to Maple Veterinary Clinic and I couldn’t be more happy that we did! Dr. Mike is amazingly kind, compassionate and understanding and definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty. Every staff person we’ve met so far (and we’ve met a ton) has been super warm and pleasant and their love and care for patients and their owners shows. My dog was very anxious and unpleasant on his first visit but was quickly put at ease. Despite a recent surgery and a couple of rounds of sutures, he’s happy to be there and no longer snarls at staff! I’d say that speaks volumes! Read Less

Found this place when my regular vet was out of town and I had an emergency with my 9 mo puppy. Not only were the vets super friendly and compassionate they also had sensible answers and opinions to every question I had. Later when my puppy's condition took a nosedive, not only did they stay late (on a Friday!) to make sure she was transferred safely to the eVet, they also fielded any questions, and I had a LOT, over the weekend. They've been following up with me daily to make sure my pup is progressing and are here to happily answer my hundreds of questions. After some consideration I've decided to move my pet's care to Maple Vet Hospital. Not that my former vet was bad, this place is just...unbeatable. I cannot say enough good things about this office! I am so happy we found them 20+ years ago with my parents dog, so when we had adopted our dog from MHS we did not have a second thought in choosing Maple Vet to help with our dog's care. Dr Mike and the rest of the staff at Maple Vet are truly AMAZING! Several years ago our dog had horrible swelling of his eyes for no apparent reason. We went to a specialist in Southfield that cost an arm and a leg to try to pin point the reason for the eye swelling. Of course it was on the weekend that we went to the specialist, but on Monday we followed up with Maple Vet. Immediately Dr Mike contacted the specialist to obtain the records from our visit so he was up to date for our next visit to the office and continued to work with the specialist and us to help find the problem of our dogs eye issues. We never found out what has caused our dog going blind, however Dr Mike and his staff have gone above and beyond with us in dealing with our dogs eye issues. Dr Mike is very compassionate in the care he gives and works Amazingly with us from calling in RX to helping us find the best medicine to treat our dog. My dog was bit right near the eye last night. it swelled up but seemed fine at the time. woke up the next morning and dog was miserable and eye all puffy and oozing pus. Didn't have a vet in the area yet so I took her to Maple Vet because they opened early but didn't have awful ratings like the 24-hour place. Was able to walk in with my dog and be seen immediately. Visit was quick and efficient and they actually took the time to get me a tip on how to give a dog (who doesn't want anything near her eye right now) eye-drops. Douglas had his first visit to Maple yesterday and am very happy. The wait time was quick and Dr. Smith took the time to get to know my pet. At most clinics, you spend more time waiting than with the Vet but that's not the case at maple. They get you into a room right when you walk in the door which made my timid dachshund more comfortable. First time yesterday with Dr. Mike and staff. Caring and friendly from the front desk to the exam room and out the door. All the staff gets involved with their patients and their parents. Actually combed Griff for fleas in which were none. Dr. Mike interacts with the pup on the floor by checking throughout his fur and skin. Looked at Griff from head to toe. Dr. Mike sitting on the floor, so Griff laid down too next to the doc. Then he witnessed Griff licking and nibbling his legs and paws. The other vet never touched Griff and/or interacted with Griff for 5 years. Next annual checkup in December is with Dr. Mike and Maple Veterinary Hospital. I have been taking my dogs to Maple Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. They have helped me care for my dogs all the way from puppyhood to their final journeys. The vets are knowledgeable and amazingly compassionate. The rest of the staff are accommodating and efficient. In my many years as a dog owner, I had taken my dogs to a number of different vets before visiting Maple Vet Hospital for the first time. Since then, I have not take my dogs anywhere else. I had just moved to the area and I was looking for somewhere to take my dog. She was healthy all in all, but I wanted to establish a relationship with a new Veterinarian. I chose this place because the reviews were decent. When I called, the woman on the phone was very quick, short, and came off a bit rude- almost like she had something more important that she could be doing. I thought nothing of it, maybe she was having a bad day. When I got there with my dog, there was only one other dog in the waiting room, thank gosh, because the room is very small and it would be very easy for an agressive dog to come in and start a fight. What I was most taken by was the fact that these people talk to their employee's like they are children. I was shocked! They way they treated their staff while I was there was horrible. Not to mention the way they charge you. I was being nickle and dimed left and right- I sure am glad that my dog wasn't ill!!! While I know animal care is not cheap, I feel this place was a bit over the top.. especially for what kind of service I get. I will NOT return in the future. My family pet of 16 years was ill and the vet I had always went to had went through changes that didn’t suit my needs, so when my kitty needed to get seen I asked a co-worker if he could refer a place and he sent me to Maple Vet. From the initial phone call all the way to the actual appointment they were exceptionally understanding, patient and caring. I just wanted a vet who would be honest and not try to give me false hope...when your pet is a part of your family the last thing you need is someone telling you that you can do all these expensive things to try to save them, when in the end the result would be the same. I received a card from them a few days later signed by the entire staff; it really touched my family and me. They also are making our family an ornament with a paw print from our kitty. When I was calling around to find a place for my kitten to get his shots, this place pooped up as one nearby. I gave them a call and the phone was answered immediately. They person on the other end was very friendly and knowledgable about the prices, services, and wait times. They were also very conscious of my work schedule and we were able to work out a time that was good for me but not . When I finally brought my cat in I noticed the place was extremely clean, and the front lobby was very roomy. The girls behind the desk processed my information right away and I was only in the lobby for a few minutes. Once I was shown to the exam room, I saw a vet tech within 5 minutes and the actual vet soon after. Both were very nice and explained everything very well. A few of their surgeries are bit pricey, but they include a lot more in them. Most of their stuff, though, is on par with the prices I saw at other vets. The parking lot is small, so on a busy day I could see it filling up rather quickly. But I was in and out so fast that it doesn't seem like it would be that much of an issue. Read Less
