This is a newer vet's office and the moment you walk in you feel like it's a great place. The bright white walls, cozy wood accents and large professional pictures of animals give off a great impression. And that impression isn't wrong.
Everything is always very clean, but it's not overwhelmingly stinking of chemicals. The exam rooms are cozy (you have a small couch not a plastic chair to sit on), but they are not cramped. And there isn't a lot of cold metal everywhere.
The staff is always happy to see your pet, and I've had conversations with my vet where I can tell she personally connected with my cat. She didn't just think of him as patient number whatever. For my other cat (a little hellion), they gave me a call to get permission to sedate him. They also don't seem rushed and take time to answer all my questions. For any medications they make sure to print out a clear list of instructions.
They also gave me a good referral to a vet hospital when one of my kitties too sick for them. And when his time came, they were extremely helpful and let me take my time and hold him. They also handled the cremation and urn arrangements, something I couldn't handle at the time.
I can't compare prices to many other vets, but I plan on taking my cat and any other future cats I have to this vet as long as I'm in the area.

I really like this vet and office staff. the doctor spent a lot of time with my dog and was very compassionate and kind. The only reason I will not be going back is because I cannot afford to Pay over $650 for a teeth cleaning. unfortunately I have to find another vet for my dog who has dental issues and some respiratory problems that are being caused because of the teeth decay. Fantastic staff if you can afford it though

From the receptionist to the techs and assistants to the actual doctor, you will never in your life find another veterinary office with such a wonderful staff. Every single person in that office is kind, understanding and friendly which, I have to unfortunately say, is very tough to find these days.
Also unfortunately rare is to have such a seamless experience- meaning there are absolutely no disconnects whatsoever. The staff clearly works as a team and it very much shows.
Dr. Emily has seen both of my dogs and I cannot even begin describe not only how great she is with each of them, but also how very talented of a doctor she is. She really takes the time to not only explain everything, but listens to all of my concerns and addresses every single one.
With each visit, I am even more impressed by both the wonderful staff and quality of care. I'm very glad we made the move to Oakland Hills and I promise you will be too.

I have never been somewhere that is more caring and sweet than here. They are fantastic veterinarians, but more importantly, they truly love animals. We will never take our pets elsewhere. The interior is spotless and warm. Everyone is kind and compassionate. Top notch.Also, they have a candle that is on their counter. When lit, someone is losing a friend. It asks that you please speak quietly out of respect. That is so compassionate. Have never seen this done anywhere else.

I followed Dr. Christy to her new practice from her former employer. The hospital is clean and pleasant to visit. The entire staff is friendly, caring and helpful. Dr. Christy has cared for my three dogs and a cat over the past 6 or 7 years -- three of which have had serious health conditions. Her bedside manner is unmatched. Two of my dogs have anxiety and she is very patient and gentle with them. She is tenacious and thorough in her diagnoses yet won't do expensive tests and/or procedures unless she really feels it is necessary. I highly recommend Oakland Hills Veterinary Hospital.

My pup is actually excited when we pull up to clinic door -- imagine a pet that likes visiting the vet! Dr. Christie and the staff of Oakland Hills are caring, knowledgable, and highly professional. Dr. Christie took care of my sister's pet reliably and lovingly for many years from puppy to old age, so it was an easy choice to make for my little one.

The overall staff and care we received from Oakland Hills Veterinary Hospital was above amazing and in fact the best veterinary care my dog has ever experienced.
I had called late in the day with a small emergency and even though the office was booked they said they could see us in between scheduled appointments, all the while they had never saw my dog previously. When we arrived we were greeted with a very friendly woman at the front desk and from there our experience just got better. We were quickly taken back to a room and the entire staff showed great caring, understanding and had a great bedside manner. I was so relieved to have found a place that takes such great care of my dog! I was confident in their exam and diagnosis, their prices are competitive and they don't recommend a bunch of tests that are unnecessary. They even followed up the next day by phone to check on him. I think I have found a new home for our animals and will continue to tell anyone I know about what a wonderful experience I had. I thank the entire staff for being so wonderful to my dog! You can tell the staff at this veterinary hospital loves animals!
You would be doing your animal a disservice if you took them anywhere else.

I'll admit I was nervous my first time taking my new puppy to the vet. From the moment I walked in I knew I would love this place. I felt a very nice and at home environment and not like I walked Into an office. I was immediately greeted and helped right away. All of the staff were great and so nice and informational and I felt as if I would ask them anything. I am very happy to be apart of the Oakland hills family!

We loved going to Oakland Hills! The office is adorable and clean, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. Our dog Max had Dr. Husman, and she is the sweetest, and I always felt like he was in good hands with her, as well as any of the techs. Max never feared going to the vet at Oakland Hills, in fact he was always happy to go! I was so sad that we'd have to find another vet when we moved away, but I'd recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a great vet experience in the metro Detroit area!

Dr. Christie has a wonderful, caring bedside manner. She makes the humans and dogs feel at ease. Dr. Christie has cared for my 8 year old dog since puppyhood. I was looking for a single vet to watch my dog grow and understand my dog so they could best treat in later years. I am very happy to have formed this relationship with Dr. Christie and feel confident my dog is in good hands as she matures.

This is a newer vet's office and the moment you walk in you feel like it's a great place. The bright white walls, cozy wood accents and large professional pictures of animals give off a great impression. And that impression isn't wrong.
Everything is always very clean, but it's not overwhelmingly stinking of chemicals. The exam rooms are cozy (you have a small couch not a plastic chair to sit on), but they are not cramped. And there isn't a lot of cold metal everywhere.

Dr. Christy has cared for my three dogs and a cat over the past 6 or 7 years -- three of which have had serious health conditions. Her bedside manner is unmatched. My pup is actually excited when we pull up to clinic door -- imagine a pet that likes visiting the vet! Dr. Christie and the staff of Oakland Hills are caring, knowledgable, and highly professional. We loved going to Oakland Hills! The office is adorable and clean, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. Our dog Max had Dr. Husman, and she is the sweetest, and I always felt like he was in good hands with her, as well as any of the techs.
